Chapter 1 This Strange World

Yesi never expected to wake up again. Looking at this unfamiliar place, Yesi felt a little strange. Wasn't she dead?

Coconut Si awkwardly sat up, wanting to take a closer look around. She belatedly realized that something was wrong with her body as well.

Even if they are extremely hungry, the bodies of the Buyao people are strong, so how could they have such difficulty even getting up?

Coconut began to look down at her body, wanting to know what was wrong with her.

Coconut looked at the hand in front of it in shock. It had shrunk, lost its hair, and had an extra finger.

Coconut Flakes: Am I deformed? I'll be kicked out of Jiasi City!

Coconut was shocked for a moment, but then calmed down because she was hungry. She had already starved to death once, and she didn't want to go through that again.

Coconut decided to find something to eat first. It climbed up to something that looked like a metal cabinet and tentatively tried to pull the ring.

Sure enough, although the materials are different, this thing, like the metal cabinet, is used to store things.

The cabinet was huge; the shrunken coconut flakes felt like they could fall right into it.

Coconut sniffed. She smelled a sweet aroma. Although she didn't know what it was, Coconut had a feeling that it was edible.

Coconut Flakes was focused on finding something to eat and didn't notice anyone entering the house.

Grandma Mei calculated the time and guessed that her little granddaughter should be waking up, so she quickly ended her "chat" with the neighbor and came back to heat up some milk for her little granddaughter.

As soon as Grandma Mei entered the room, she noticed that her granddaughter was not in bed. Grandma Mei's heart skipped a beat, thinking that her granddaughter had fallen to the ground.

But after looking around, she couldn't find her granddaughter. She started to panic. She regretted going out to chat and had lost her granddaughter!

At this moment, a rustling sound from inside the cabinet caught her attention. Grandma Mei discovered that the cabinet door was open, even though she had closed it properly when she left.

Grandma Mei opened the cabinet door completely and finally found her missing granddaughter.

Grandma Mei watched with amusement as her little granddaughter bent over and rummaged through the cabinet.

"You little rascal, you almost scared Grandma to death! How old are you, and you're already so naughty?" Grandma Mei picked up her granddaughter, patted her bottom lightly, and said.

"Ahhh? Ahhh, woof woof (Let me go! How dare you touch Bu Yaoren's butt! I challenge you to a duel!)!" Ye Si flailed her limbs, trying to get this strange creature to release her.

"Are you hungry? Grandma will heat up some milk for you." Grandma Mei carried coconut flakes into the kitchen, took a bowl of milk from the cupboard, and placed it on the table in the room.

Seeing Grandma Mei's movements, Ye Si seemed to understand what Grandma Mei was going to do. She stopped moving and stared straight at the bowl of white water.

Grandma Mei took a large bowl, put the coconut shreds back on the kang (heated brick bed), picked up the thermos from the ground, and poured half a bowl of hot water into the large bowl.

Grandma Mei carefully placed the bowl of milk into the large bowl.

Grandma Mei turned her head and found her little granddaughter lying on the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed), staring intently at the large bowl.

"Oh! You little girl, do you know that's your food?" Grandma Mei walked over and gently pinched Coconut Flakes' nose, saying with amusement.

"Ahhhhh (Why isn't it ready yet?)?" Coconut looked anxiously at the large bowl.

"Okay, okay! It'll be ready soon!"

Grandma Mei went over, took a spoon, scooped up a little milk, tasted it, and found that the temperature was about right. She then took the bowl of milk out of the large bowl.

"Aaaaaah (Isn't this for me? I want some too!)!" Coconut Flakes pounded on the edge of the kang (heated brick bed) in protest, indicating that she wanted some too.

"Come on, don't rush, Grandma will feed you." Grandma Mei put the bowl on the kang (a heated brick bed), held the coconut flakes in her arms, and fed the coconut flakes milk spoonful by spoonful.

I took a bite of the coconut flakes, smacked my lips, and thought the taste was a bit strange, but not bad.

After finishing the bowl, Ye Si yawned, feeling a little sleepy. Seeing this, Grandma Mei picked Ye Si up and let her rest her head on her shoulder, then started patting Ye Si to help her burp.

"Burp!" Coconut shreds involuntarily let out a loud burp.

Coconut Flakes woke up instantly, not understanding why she was making such a strange sound.

After Coconut Si finished burping, Grandma Mei laid Coconut Si horizontally on her lap, hummed an unknown little tune, and gently patted Coconut Si's little bottom to lull her to sleep.

Coconut didn't know what kind of magic this creature possessed, but she felt increasingly sleepy the more she listened to the sound, and finally closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Once Grandma Mei was sure Coconut was fast asleep, she put her in her little quilt.

Grandma Mei glanced at the wall clock and, seeing that it was getting late, went to the kitchen to wash vegetables and rinse rice, preparing dinner for the family.

"Why isn't my sister awake yet?" Mei Liang looked at Ye Si, who was sleeping soundly, and his fingers were itching to touch her.

"Go do your homework and don't disturb your sister's sleep. If you wake her up, you'll have to soothe her!" As soon as Mei's mother heard the strange tone in her son's voice, she knew he was up to no good again.

Mei's mother smacked her son's head and sent him to the next room to do his homework.

"Oh~!" Mei Liang pouted, took one last look at his sister, and went next door to do his homework.

Coconut Silk was awakened by the aroma, a scent she had never smelled before. She rubbed her eyes, got up, and prepared to see what it was.

"Daughter's awake! Come quick, let Daddy hold her." As soon as he saw that Ye Si was awake, Daddy Mei quickly put down his chopsticks and came over to hold his daughter.

Coconut flakes: It seems this creature lives in groups.

Coconut was carried to the dining table by Mei's father, and Coconut began to observe what this creature ate.

Coconut flakes: They smell so good, they must taste delicious, right?

"My daughter has grown up. She didn't cry when she woke up." Mr. Mei was very surprised that his daughter didn't cry or make a fuss when she woke up.

"She didn't cry when she woke up this afternoon, and she even opened the cabinet door. When I went into the room and saw that she wasn't on the kang (a heated brick bed), I was startled. Then I found that the cabinet door was open and realized that she had crawled inside." Grandma Mei couldn't help but laugh when she thought about what happened that afternoon, and she quickly shared her granddaughter's funny story with everyone.

"You little rascal, you're so young and already so naughty!" Aunt Mei said, tapping Coconut's nose with the tip of her chopsticks.

"Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!" Coconut got anxious when she saw that these creatures were only baring their teeth and not giving her any food.

"You can't scold my daughter, look, she's protesting." Dad Mei lowered his head and kissed Ye Si's chubby cheek, saying with a smile.

Coconut couldn't wait any longer and decided to fend for herself. She reached out and grabbed the plate of stir-fried wild vegetables that was closest to her.

"Hey! This isn't for you to play with, sweetie, Daddy will play with you later!" Before the coconut shreds could reach the stir-fried wild vegetables, Daddy Mei pushed the vegetables out of the coconut shreds' reach.
