"What does dating have to do with liking someone?" Mei Si found Miao Song's idea strange. Is there a conflict between dating and liking someone?
Only Miao Song's face was round and barely acceptable in the class; the other students had strange appearances, and Mei Si didn't want to consider them for the time being.
Mei Si decided to broaden her search and look throughout the entire school. Since she didn't know any students from other classes, she directly asked Xu Aihua and Liu Jiajia for help.
"You want to find a partner? Isn't it too early?" Xu Aihua didn't understand why Mei Si would suddenly have this idea. She had never seen Mei Si showing interest in anyone before.
"It's not early, my brother already has seven girlfriends."
“Okay, compared to him, you really didn’t start early.” Xu Aihua had met Mei Jian a few times and knew that this guy was particularly popular with girls. Mei Si said that he had seven girlfriends, and Xu Aihua didn’t doubt it at all.
"Who have you taken a liking to?" Liu Jiajia asked excitedly. She felt that Mei Si had finally figured things out and was finally willing to play with people other than the two of them.
"What do you mean by 'take a liking'? Isn't it just dating?" Mei Si didn't understand. What did dating have to do with taking a liking?
"The prerequisite for being in a relationship is that you have to like the other person!" Liu Jiajia looked at Mei Si's expressionless face and felt that the other person probably didn't understand what a relationship meant at all.
"Can't we date if I don't care?" Mei Si felt that if she looked for a partner according to this requirement, she might never find one.
Mei Si only cares about the Bu Yao people; she looks down on all the humans on Earth, finding them particularly ugly.
"If you don't care, why do you want to date her?" Xu Aihua scratched her head. She felt that Mei Si might have been led astray by someone again. Mei Si couldn't think straight, and sometimes when they made a joke, Mei Si would take it seriously.
"My brother has a girlfriend, wouldn't it be strange if I didn't?"
"...What does it have to do with you that your brother has a girlfriend?" Liu Jiajia was speechless. She was happy for nothing. Mei Si was having an episode and didn't actually want to find a girlfriend.
“We are a family, we should do the same things.”
“Meisi, you don’t need to find a partner. Look, only your younger brother has a partner in your family. Your older brother doesn’t!” Xu Aihua used facts to tell Meisi that she didn’t need to find a partner.
“Oh, my brother doesn’t have one.” Mei Si nodded, agreeing with Xu Aihua’s point that a partner wasn’t necessary.
Xu Aihua looked at Mei Si, who was still eating with her head down, and sighed with worry. When will Mei Si be able to act normally? She will never be able to make any friends like this.
Time flies, and Mei Jian will soon be starting elementary school. As for his romantic partners, they come and go, but recently he hasn't had any at all.
Mei Si paid close attention to Mei Jian because she discovered that Mei Jian did things differently from most people, and this special case was worth observing.
Whenever the number of Mei Jian's partners changes, Mei Si will ask why and study the strange emotions of humankind.
Mei Jian couldn't stand his older sister's bizarre questions anymore, and he was also tired of dealing with the various conflicts between his partners every day. So when he left the daycare, he broke up with all his partners.
"Why? Didn't you like them? One of them was a new guy who joined last month." Mei Si didn't understand why her brother had broken up with all his girlfriends.
“…I don’t like it anymore.” Mei Jian didn’t really want to talk to his sister, but he didn’t dare. His brother was timid in front of his sister, and he couldn’t take a beating like his brother.
"So, will you continue looking for them?"
"We'll see. We'll see if there are any good ones after we start school."
Mei Jian wanted to say he didn't want to look anymore, but his sister was stubborn. If he said he wouldn't look anymore now and brought someone back later, his sister would think he didn't keep his word. Either the relationship would fall through, or he would get beaten up.
Mei Si: Mei Jian's time spent with potential partners is getting shorter and shorter. What will happen in the end? Will he stop looking for a partner?
Mei Jian is in elementary school, and Mei Si is going to junior high school. This time, Xu Aihua and Mei Si were assigned to the same class. As for Liu Jiajia, she started school a year later than them, so she is still an elementary school student.
Meis felt that humans were becoming increasingly difficult to understand. "Isn't it enough to just be able to read and do arithmetic? Why do we have to learn all those strange things?"
After the midterm exams, Mays became the second to last in the class, while the last place was a student who didn't even take the exam.
Originally, because Xu Aihua and Mei Si had a good relationship, their classmates subconsciously distanced themselves from her.
Xu Aihua was very worried about this. She had finally helped Mei Si make a few friends, but they all ran away because of her grades.
That wasn't the most frustrating thing. What bothered Xu Aihua the most was that while she was worried and anxious for Mei Si, Mei Si didn't seem to care at all.
"Didn't you notice something's missing?" Xu Aihua planned to remind Mei Si, to make her sad too.
"Hmm?" Mei Si was busy eating and didn't even look up.
“Yesterday we had dinner together as a group of five, but today it’s just the two of us.” Xu Aihua knew she had to be direct with Mei Si, and that she wouldn’t understand if she spoke indirectly.
"Oh." Mei Si looked up at Xu Aihua, not understanding what she wanted to say.
“…Phew! Don’t you find it strange?” Xu Aiguo took a deep breath, barely suppressing the anger that Mei Si had stirred up.
"Not surprising."
"Why aren't you surprised that three people are suddenly missing?" Xu Aihua's voice rose eight octaves in anger.
"They're not dead, they're doing fine over there, aren't they?" Mei Si pointed to the three female classmates sitting in the front row, and gave Xu Aihua a strange look. Could it be that she couldn't see? Was she nearsighted?
“I know they’re there. I’m asking, aren’t you curious why they suddenly stopped eating with us?” Xu Aihua gripped her spoon tightly, afraid she would lose control and spit it in Mei Si’s face.
"Why be curious? Humans often do strange things, isn't that normal?" Mei Si didn't find the three classmates strange, but she found Xu Aihua strange, as she seemed quite excited.
