Chubaki grabbed Meisi's hand and said.
"Huh?" Mei Si looked bewildered, completely unable to understand why Chu Baqi was so excited.
"What's your relationship with the male lead? Have you seen Mei Si since you arrived? I've been looking for her at school for a long time but haven't found her. Did you do something? Well, if she appears next to the male lead, he'll be in trouble. But do you think he'll still be able to start his business without Mei Si by his side?" Chubachi was so excited when she got home that night that she couldn't sleep well. The next day, she got up early, ate breakfast, and ran to school.
Chu Baqi finally made it to 2:30 pm. She couldn't wait to go to the place where she had met her fellow villager the day before and wait for him to arrive.
"Chu Baqi, I have something to say to you," Wang Celou said as he walked up to Chu Baqi.
"I have something to do today, can I do it tomorrow?" Chubachi said hesitantly.
Chu Baqi was happy that the male lead took the initiative to talk to her, thinking that he was finally interested in her.
However, the male lead chose the wrong time; she only wants to chat with her fellow villagers now, and everyone else has to take a backseat.
"Are you waiting for Sisi? She's not coming."
"What do you mean?" Chu Baqi's smile faded. What did Wang Celou mean by this? Why did she have such a bad feeling?
"It's not convenient to talk here, let's go to Mirror Lake." Wang Ce Lou turned around and walked towards Mirror Lake, which was not far away.
Chubachi clutched her pounding chest, took a deep breath, and tried to calm herself down.
"It's alright! Don't scare yourself. Maybe something's holding you up." Chu Baqi patted her chest and followed Wang Celou to Mirror Lake.
"What's your name?" Wang Celou asked, looking at Mirror Lake with his back to Chu Baqi.
"What...what are you saying? What else can I be called? My name is Chu Baqi!" Chu Baqi's face turned deathly pale because of Wang Celou's question, but she tried to remain calm as she spoke.
“I know Chu Baqi’s personality very well. You are not her.” Wang Celou turned to look at Chu Baqi and said calmly.
"How could you forget? I was hit by a car and lost my memory." Chu Baqi forced a smile that looked more like a grimace.
"Amnesia won't change a person's habits. You know in your heart whether you are Chubachi or not."
Chubaki opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but she found herself powerless to refute.
She knew the male lead best. Since he directly confronted her, it meant he was certain that she wasn't Chubaki.
"Actually, whether you are Chubachi or not has nothing to do with me, but you shouldn't come and disturb my life."
"What do you want? I... I also know your secret, Your Highness." Chu Baqi was terrified, but she didn't want to be exposed like this. She knew the plot and the male lead's true identity. Perhaps she could use this as leverage to get the male lead to keep her secret.
