When Grandma Xu brought in the food, she saw Little Fatty Hao sitting in the corner.
"What's this? A new way to play, cornering me? Come and eat, then you can play with your sister." Grandma Xu put the food on the kang table, preparing to feed Hao Xiaopang.
Hao Xiaopang glanced at the coconut flakes, and only dared to approach the kang table after seeing her nod.
"What's wrong with this table? Why is it limping? It was fine just now. What happened?" Old Mrs. Xu leaned against the kang table and found that it was a bit unstable.
Grandma Xu tugged at the kang table next to her again, and with a press, the kang table was fixed again.
She didn't notice that there was a small, shallow pit where the legs of the kang table had been moved.
Hao Xiaopang sniffed as he looked at the shallow pit. Although he didn't understand why there was a pit there, Xiaopang suddenly realized that he couldn't mess with Sisi.
"Why is your nose so runny? Your sister will laugh at you. Blow your nose." When Grandma Xu saw her grandson with two tubes of snot hanging from his mouth, she quickly took out a handkerchief to wipe it and told him to blow his nose again.
"Bang...bang..." Hao Xiaopang blew his nose vigorously.
Hearing the strange sound, Ye Si couldn't help but move closer to the two of them, wanting to see how the sound was made.
"Slurp! Burp!" Hao Xiaopang was startled when he saw the chubby face that suddenly appeared in front of him, and he sucked back the snot he had just blown out.
"..." For some reason, Ye Si suddenly felt that Hao Xiaopang looked particularly like someone she wanted to get away from. Ye Si chose to follow her intuition and took a few steps back.
"It's blowing your nose, not eating it! Oh my goodness! Blow it out now!" Old Mrs. Xu scrunched up her chrysanthemum-like face and made her grandson blow his nose again.
After cleaning Hao Xiaopang's face, Grandma Xu picked up the bowl to feed her grandson.
"Little Fatty is so good today. Is it because his little sister is here, and he wants to set a good example for her?" Grandma Xu couldn't help but praise her grandson for sitting so obediently and waiting for her to feed him.
"Eat by yourself!" Coconut Silk didn't understand. Hao Xiaopang could walk more nimbly than her, so why did he still open his mouth and wait to be fed? Why didn't he eat by himself?
"Look, your sister is making fun of you! How old are you and you still need your grandma to feed you? What will you do when you go to daycare?" Grandma Xu was already worried that her grandson might not get enough to eat every day at daycare.
"I'll eat it myself," Hao Xiaopang said, quickly offering to eat it himself when he heard that the coconut shreds had spoken.
"Oh! You've made something of yourself! Okay, you can eat by yourself." Grandma Xu was so happy that her eyes almost disappeared when she saw that her grandson was finally willing to eat by himself. Afraid that her grandson would change his mind, she quickly put the spoon in his hand.
Hao Xiaopang clumsily held the spoon and began to eat by himself. During this time, he fed the food to his clothes several times. Whenever Hao Xiaopang wanted to throw away the spoon, he would look up and see the cold gaze of the coconut shreds.
Hao Xiaopang finished his bowl of rice in one gulp, feeling only half full, but he didn't want to eat anymore. He felt uncomfortable eating with Ye Si watching him.
Grandma Xu changed her grandson's clothes into clean ones and took the dirty ones to the kitchen to wash.
Hao Xiaopang glanced at the coconut flakes and decided to go back to the corner, where he felt safe.
"You...you said...you...eat meat." Although Ye Si asked for meat every day at Grandma Hao's house these past few days, Grandma Hao didn't make it for her every day.
This made Ye Si a little resentful, feeling that she had lost weight because she hadn't been eating meat.
Seeing that Hao Xiaopang seemed to have some status at this place, Ye Si decided to try and see if he could get some meat.
Hao Xiaopang guessed and pieced together what Ye Si meant; she wanted him to ask his grandmother for meat.
Hao Xiaopang doesn't actually want to eat meat, and Grandma Xu cooks him a meal with meat every day, but Hao Xiaopang still told his grandma that he wants to eat meat for lunch.
"I've never cooked for you, don't worry! Your sister is coming today, so Grandma will make you shredded pork noodles."
"Meat... noodles?"
I've never had shredded pork noodles before, but I've had regular noodles. I wonder if this shredded pork noodle dish is good, or if it's made entirely of meat?
Grandma Xu is an expert at making noodles. When she makes braised shredded pork at noon, the aroma is so enticing that it makes your mouth water.
Seeing how tempting the coconut flakes were, Hao Xiaopang immediately puffed out his little chest, looking incredibly proud.
Hao Xiaopang didn't dare let his grandma feed him for lunch, but the noodles were really hard to get into his mouth. Before he could finish one bowl, he had already eaten two bowls of coconut flakes.
"Yes!" Ye Si finished the noodles in the small bowl again and pushed the bowl in front of Grandma Xu.
"Sisi loves to eat so much? How about I make you another one tonight? There's only one bowl left, how about you give it to your little chubby brother?" Grandma Xu made two portions according to her grandson's usual appetite, but she didn't expect it to be not enough.
When she heard that there was still coconut flakes but she wouldn't get any more, she was in a bad mood and turned to stare at the chubby boy.
Little Fatty, having just finished shoveling the last bite of noodles, looked up and saw Coconut's gaze. Little Fatty felt very scared, wondering why Coconut was looking at him with such a frightening look.
When Grandma Xu saw that her grandson had finished eating, she went to the kitchen to serve him the last bowl.
“The noodles are mine! You…aren’t you going to eat them!” Ye Si glared at Hao Xiaopang and said.
"I'm still hungry." Hao Xiaopang was about to cry from hunger. He hadn't eaten enough in the morning, so why couldn't he eat at noon?
"You... deserve a beating!" Ye Si threatened, raising her chubby fist in front of Hao Xiaopang.
Grandma Xu brought out the noodles, and Hao Xiaopang didn't dare to touch them for a long time.
"Grandma, I...I'm full." Hao Xiaopang patted his flat stomach, indicating with tears in his eyes that he was full.
"Huh? How come you're full after just one bowl? What's wrong with you today? You ate so little this morning, is it hard for you to eat? Come on, let Grandma feed you." Grandma Xu couldn't believe that her grandson, who could eat so much, was full after eating so little, so she couldn't help but pick up her chopsticks and prepare to feed him herself.
