Xu Maisui took the clothes she had chosen and began to negotiate the price with Mei Si.
“Ten yuan.” Mei Si nodded and said with a grin.
"I know the original price is 10 yuan, how much are you planning to sell it to me for?"
"Ten yuan." Mei Si held out her hand, palm up, waiting for Xu Maihui to give her the money.
"Little sister, look at you, why can't you be honest? You already nodded, just give me the lowest price! Don't worry, I won't tell anyone you gave me a discount. Come on, tell me quietly how much this dress costs." Xu Maisui moved closer to Mei Si, tilting her ear to wait and hear the price Mei Si would give.
"Ten yuan." Mei Si tilted her head to look at the other person's strange behavior, but finally satisfied Xu Mai Sui's peculiar hobby. She leaned close to her ear and whispered.
"What? How much? I didn't hear you clearly." Xu Maisui thought she had misheard.
"Ten yuan!" Mei Si frowned and shouted into Xu Maisui's ear.
"Pfft! These two are hilarious!" The people next to them noticed that Xu Maisui was bargaining and wanted to hear how much cheaper Mei Si could offer, but to their surprise, Mei Si actually whispered "10 yuan" in Xu Maisui's ear.
Xu Maisui's face flushed red, then turned green, and quickly turned purple.
Mei Si stared wide-eyed at Xu Mai Sui's face, thinking that humans were truly amazing creatures. She realized that human faces could not only turn red, but also change to other colors!
Xu Maisui felt that she had been tricked by Mei Si. Hearing the laughter of the people around her, Xu Maisui threw her clothes at Mei Si, glared at her fiercely, turned around and pushed through the crowd.
Seeing that Mei Si insisted on selling for 10 yuan and no amount of bargaining worked, people gradually stopped trying to negotiate.
Mei Si sold clothes for a while and then felt a little hungry. She sniffed the air, smelling the pungent yet fragrant aroma, and couldn't stand it any longer.
Wang Ce Lou could tell at a glance that Mei Si was hungry. He beckoned to Mei Si and asked her to come over.
"Leaking? What's wrong?" Mei Si asked curiously as she walked up to Wang Ce Lou.
"Let's go buy some good food," Wang Celou said, taking out 10 yuan and handing it to Mei Si.
"Leaky, how did you know I didn't bring any money?" Mei Si asked with a surprised look as she held the money.
"If you had money, you would have gone out to buy food long ago. Why would you stay here for so long?" Wang Celou said, gently pinching Mei Si's nose.
Mei Si happily took the money and ran off to buy some delicious food.
Because Mei Si had always said that she didn't bargain, most customers knew this. Even those who didn't know would be told by someone nearby that they didn't bargain here before Wang Ma even opened her mouth to ask for a discount.
"Lou Lou, take Si Si back when she gets back. Don't stand here, it's tiring," Wang Ma said, turning to her son behind her.
"We only need a few more clothes. Once we sell them all, we'll go back together."
Wang Celou glanced at the clothes on the ground and said.
When Wang Ma saw that there were indeed only a few items left on the stall, she nodded and stopped trying to persuade her son to leave.
Mei Si deliberately went to the stall that smelled delicious, bought a portion to try, and if she thought it was good, she would buy two more portions to take back to Ce Lou and her aunt.
Before long, Mei Si had tried almost all the snack stalls. Finally, she stopped in front of the stinky tofu stall and didn't move.
Mei Si hesitated, unsure whether she should buy it.
Mei Si: It smells awful. Is this even edible? But when I see other people eating it, it looks delicious.
"Want to buy a serving and try it? This is a family recipe passed down through generations! Once you've tried it, I guarantee you'll want to eat it again!" The owner saw that Mei Si had been standing in front of the stall for a long time without buying anything, and he knew that this girl probably had never eaten stinky tofu before.
"Then I'll have one." Mei Si looked at the stinky tofu bubbling in the oil, swallowed her saliva, and decided to try it.
"Okay! Do you want spicy food?"
“Eat.” Mei Si nodded, watching the boss’s movements.
The owner quickly packed the fried stinky tofu into a box, sprinkled some chopped cilantro and crushed peanuts on top, added chili sauce to Meisi, and finally poured a spoonful of special sauce over it.
Mei Si sniffed hard, then eagerly reached out and took the stinky tofu from the shopkeeper.
"Here, the skewers." The shopkeeper pulled two skewers from a bamboo tube and handed them to Mei Si.
"Thanks."
Mei Si took the skewer, quickly picked up a piece of stinky tofu, and put it directly into her mouth without caring that it was hot.
Meisi: Mmm, it's a little sour, a little sweet, and crunchy. It tastes really good!
"Boss, two more servings, please!" After finishing one piece, Mei Si quickly asked the boss to make two more servings.
"Two portions? Can you eat that? This stuff tastes better when it's hot; it won't taste good when it's cold," the shopkeeper kindly reminded Mei Si, noticing she was carrying several bags.
“There are other people here, I’m just responsible for buying them,” Mei Si said quickly as she finished off another piece of stinky tofu.
