After Wang Celou carried Mei Si into the lead car, he reached out from the front passenger seat and took the lunchbox that had been prepared beforehand and gave it to Mei Si.
The lunchbox contained sugar triangles. Wang Ce Lou originally wanted to take meat buns, but his mother said that the buns would smell bad and people would be able to smell them.
Mei Si had eaten two boiled eggs given to her by her mother in the morning, and she was already starving. When she saw the sugar triangle, Mei Si immediately perked up.
"Eat slowly, don't get it on your clothes."
"Hey, have you eaten? Here, have this!" Mei Si ate two and finally felt a little better. She looked at the last sugar triangle in the lunchbox and said reluctantly.
"Okay." Seeing that Mei Silian's gaze never left the sugar triangle when she asked him, Wang Celou smiled and reached out to pick up the last sugar triangle.
Mei Si's gaze followed the sugar triangle's movements without her noticing that Wang Ce Lou was teasing her.
Wang Celou put the sugar triangle to his mouth, pretending to eat it, but Mei Si simply turned her head to look out the window, wanting to avoid seeing it.
Wang Celou shook his head with amusement and held the sugar triangle to Mei Si's lips.
“Eat quickly!
"
"No, you eat it. I've already eaten two." She had at least eaten half full, but Ce Lou hadn't eaten anything.
"I've already eaten. This sugar triangle was specially prepared for you. Eat it!"
Because of the sugar triangles at the bottom, Mei Si was able to control her gaze while toasting the tables full of dishes.
But as she kept smelling the delicious aroma, Mei Si's stomach growled louder and louder. Every now and then, she would ask Wang Ce Lou when it would be time to eat.
Wang Celou was also quite troubled. He could hear Mei Si's stomach growling very clearly, but there were still more than a dozen tables to toast, and he couldn't leave at all!
"Brother-in-law, my mom made two plates of fried rice for you in the private room. Why don't you go and grab a bite while you're in the bathroom?" Mei Jian appeared just in time for Mei Si to give up.
"Okay, let's finish toasting this table first and then go." Wang Celou grabbed Mei Si, who was about to head to eat, and gestured for her to finish toasting this table first.
Mei Si pouted, but ultimately decided to listen to Wang Ce Lou and finish toasting the table before going to eat.
"It's leaking. If I'd known, we wouldn't have had the wedding," Mei Si said, swallowing the fried rice in her mouth.
"Hmm?" Although Wang Celou was used to his family chatting while eating, he still didn't like to talk much while eating.
"We won't have a wedding banquet, we'll just get a marriage certificate and that's it."
“Silly girl, if we don’t have a wedding, people will think you married a penniless man who can’t even afford a banquet, and our relatives will look down on Ce Lou.” As soon as Mei’s mother came in, she heard her daughter’s silly words.
“Even if he’s penniless, it’s fine. I’ll support him!” Mei Si said, patting her chest.
"..." Wang Ce Lou was stunned by his wife's bold words. Although he was quite moved, he wondered... was he really that useless?
"You child, hurry up and eat, the guests outside are waiting!" Aunt Mei shook her head and turned to leave.
The banquet ended after 3 p.m., and the Mei and Wang families saw off their relatives and friends and began to clean up the "battlefield".
"Lou Lou, you and Si Si should go home first! You two have both had a long day." After discussing it, Wang Ma and Mei Ma felt that their son and Si Si had been exhausted all day and should go straight home.
"No need, I'm not tired, I'll..."
"You silly boy, just because you're not tired doesn't mean your wife isn't. You two should go home right now!" Wang's mother stepped forward and scolded her son.
Wang Celou glanced at Mei Si, who was helping to carry things in front, and nodded to indicate that he understood.
"Remember to have Sisi drive!" Wang Ma quickly added, remembering that her son had drunk quite a bit.
"I know, don't worry."
After a long day of activity, Mei Si was indeed a bit tired. When the two returned to their new house, Mei Si took off her outer clothes and wanted to go to bed.
Wang Celou, his face full of black lines, grabbed his shameless wife.
"Go take a shower first, especially your face, wash it carefully."
"Oh!" Mei Si touched her face, feeling quite uncomfortable.
"Did you get a change of pajamas?" Wang Ce Lou asked helplessly as Mei Si turned to go into the bathroom.
"I forgot." Mei Si had never been to the new house before. She turned her head and looked around, completely unaware of where her pajamas were.
"Here you go." Wang Celou sighed softly, turned around, opened the cabinet door, took out the red pajamas inside, and handed them to Mei Si.
Mei Si went to take a shower, and Wang Ce Lou also took his pajamas and slowly went to another bathroom to take a shower.
Today, when toasting, because Mei Si doesn't drink alcohol, Wang Celou drank her share for her throughout the entire toast.
Everyone saw that he had drunk so much but was still walking without swaying, so they all thought he had a high alcohol tolerance. In fact, he remained so sober because he was supported by martial arts skills.
But now that he's home and relaxed, the effects of the alcohol are kicking in. When he came out of the shower, his eyes started to glaze over.
When Wang Ce Lou returned to his room, he found Mei Si sitting on the bed, looking at him with bright eyes.
"Weren't you sleepy just now? Why aren't you asleep?" Wang Celou rubbed his temples and walked straight to the bedside as much as possible.
“We’re getting married, teach me how to fight!” Mei Si said excitedly.
"Fighting?" Wang Celou felt increasingly dizzy. He shook his head and simply threw off the covers and lay down.
“It’s like my parents, they can only fight secretly at night! Hey, come quick!” Mei Si tugged at the lifeless Wang Ce Lou and said.
When Mei Si turned eighteen, she found her mother that morning and asked her to keep her promise and tell her why she and her husband fought in bed in the middle of the night and how they fought.
