Mei Liang shrank back, not daring to mention the meatballs again, and quickly lowered his head to eat his rice.
Seeing that no one paid any attention to her calls, Ye Si rolled her eyes and began to eat her own porridge.
After lunch, Mei's parents planned to go inside and take a nap. Mei's grandmother, who had been busy all morning, also planned to take a nap.
After finishing his meal, Mei Liang ran out to play with his friends, while Ye Si pretended to be asleep next to Grandma Mei.

Coconut got off the small stool, closed the cabinet door, and put the stool back in its original position.
After making sure nothing was missing, Ye Si licked her greasy hands and went into the house. Just as she was about to get on the kang (a heated brick bed), she suddenly remembered that Grandma Mei would always wipe her mouth with something after she finished eating.
After searching around, Ye Si finally found the thing she usually used to wipe her mouth. She quickly wiped it a few times, ran to the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed), stepped onto the kang on a small stool, and got on.
Coconut had just lain down for a short while when Grandma Mei turned over, opened her eyes, and pulled the blanket up for her.
Coconut flakes: That was close!
