Chapter 90

"Huh?" The man stared wide-eyed at Mei Si, unable to believe what he had just heard.

Man: You smell? I do smell, but would a normal person say it? Is this girl not thinking straight?

The man's eyes lit up. "If it doesn't work, great! This will make it even easier to abduct her. Just get her off the bus, hehehehe..."

"Hey sis, wanna eat some meat?" The man approached Mei Si mysteriously and whispered.

"I want to." As soon as Mei Si heard about eating meat, she immediately decided not to chase the man away for the time being.

Mei Si: He'll only sit for a short while, so he shouldn't be able to smell it if it leaks back from the side, right?

"I have meat at home, why don't you come over and eat?" The man knew that he had succeeded halfway in abducting Mei Si when he saw that she had returned so quickly.

"Why should we go to your house? There's a meat vendor on the bus." Mei Si frowned, thinking that going to someone's house to eat was too far and not worth it.

"Huh?" The man suddenly began to wonder if this girl was a real tiger or a fake one.

If he's really that bold, people will definitely nod vigorously and insist on going with him when he says that.

"Meat buns, freshly baked meat buns, only a few left, buy them now or they'll be gone!" The female train attendant, carrying a basket, pushed open the door to Mei Si's carriage.

"The meat buns are here," Mei Si said, staring intently at the man.

The man's face turned pale, and he suddenly didn't know what to do. If he bought it, what if Mei Si didn't go with him later? Wouldn't he have made a bad deal?

If we don't buy it, we might not be able to fool this girl anymore.

Man: This girl is pretty, fair-skinned, and has a big butt. She'll definitely fetch a good price.

The man gritted his teeth and called out to the female train attendant.

"Give me two steamed buns." The man started rummaging through his pockets for money.

"Two are too few, I'll take them all," Mei said to the female train attendant.

"Should the buns be packed together or separately?" The female train attendant put the basket on the ground, looked at the two of them, and didn't know how to pack the buns.

“He’ll pay if we pack them together,” Mei Si replied quickly.

"Alright! Here are your steamed buns." The train attendant wrapped the steamed buns in brown paper and handed them all to Mei Si, who was waiting with her hand outstretched.

"Five steamed buns in total, five yuan," the train conductor said with a smile to the man.

"What? How much? Are these buns made of gold? This is so expensive! Outside they cost one yuan for four, and you're charging one yuan for one?" The man paused in his act of taking out his money, then stuffed it back into his pocket.

"You think it's too expensive? What kind of steamed buns do you want? Are you going to buy them or not?" The train conductor said, his face darkening and giving the man a disapproving look.

Seeing that things were going badly, Mei Si quickly grabbed the buns and took a bite out of each one.

"I'm not buying it. These buns are so expensive, you can just keep them and let them get moldy! You..." After saying that, the man turned around and wanted Mei Si to return the buns to the train attendant.

"She's already eaten it all, so you can't refuse to buy it. Pay up now!" The train conductor reached out, her fingertips almost touching the man's nose.

"You! What kind of attitude is this?" The man pointed at Mei Si, but didn't dare to curse her out. He turned to glare at the train conductor and said.

He couldn't scold this girl yet, since she hadn't been tricked out of the car. If he was too harsh on her now, what if she refused to go to the door with him later?

"What's wrong with my attitude? Hurry up and give me the money. You have to pay for what you ate!" The train conductor said, raising his chin and looking down at the man.

"I...I'll give it to you!" The man saw that everyone had been woken up by their argument and was craning their necks to look in their direction. He finally realized that he couldn't attract everyone's attention right now.

The man shrank back, straightened his collar, pulled out 10 yuan, slapped it into the train conductor's hand, and fell silent.

"Why didn't you do this earlier? Now you feel ashamed? Hey, do you have any change? I don't have any in my pocket." The train attendant took the 10 yuan and started rummaging through his apron pocket for money, but after searching for a long time, all he found were a few small change notes and bills of 10 yuan or more.

"No... don't bother looking anymore." The man glanced at his watch and knew the train was about to arrive at the station.

He waved his hand, signaling the train attendant to leave quickly and stop drawing everyone's attention to him.

"How can I not give you change? Wait here, I'll go get you some change." The train conductor turned around and went to find the passengers in the carriage to get their change.

The man saw the familiar mountains outside the train window and knew the train was about to arrive at its destination. He glanced at the train conductor who was still looking for money at the front of the train and felt particularly annoyed.

The train attendants walking back and forth are already easy to attract attention, and if they return soon, everyone will definitely focus their attention on them again.

The man decided to lure Mei Si to the door first, and then drag her off the train as soon as it stopped.

"I'm getting off the bus now. Come to my house and have some meat with me," the man said softly to Mei Si, glancing at the couple across from him who had closed their eyes again.

"I'm not going. I've eaten some steamed buns and I'm not very hungry anymore," Mei Si said, shaking her head.

"...My home isn't far, it's right after I get off the train. I'll bring you some meat, and you can come back without missing your train."

"Not far?" Mei Si hesitated a bit. She had eaten all the pies that Wang Ma made at noon and had just eaten steamed buns. She was full enough to eat after getting off the bus, but Wang Ce Lou hadn't eaten anything.

Mei Si: He didn't eat any meat pie at noon, so he must be very hungry now. I got out of the car to get him some meat. No, wait, Ce Lou doesn't like to eat meat.

"It's not far, my house is right next to the train station, it's very close!" the man casually made up.

"Do you have any vegetable leaves at home?" Mei Si decided that if this person had any vegetable leaves or anything like that, she would get some for Wang Ce Lou after getting off the train.

"Huh? Vegetables...vegetable leaves? You like to eat that stuff?" The man looked at Mei Si with a strange expression, thinking that Mei Si was indeed stupid.
