Chapter 44 Fa Fa

Mei Liang and the other two practiced horse stance every day until they were too exhausted to think about anything else. Every day when they got home, they would just collapse onto the kang (a heated brick bed) and fall asleep.

A month later, the three of them gradually got used to it and began to feel restless. They thought that practicing horse stance was not interesting and wanted to learn powerful martial arts moves.

However, having already experienced Mays's unyielding nature, none of the three dared to ask first.

"Mei Liang, ask your sister when she's going to teach something else?" Xu Aiguo, in a horse stance, couldn't help but urge Mei Liang to ask.

"I won't ask, ask yourself!" Mei Liang rolled his eyes and stopped talking, focusing on practicing his horse stance, afraid that Mei Si would come in and find them chatting and he would be punished again.

Mei Si has been thinking about this matter for the past two days. She feels that the three of them are not strong enough and need to be strengthened.

Yesterday, I saw a video posted by them in the group that gave Mei Si an idea. The video showed a group of workers called monks carrying buckets full of water running up a mountain, supposedly to practice their skills.

The conditions here at Meisi are simple; there are no buckets or mountains. However, Meisi thinks that these can be replaced with other things. Meisi plans to have them practice horse stance with half a brick in each hand.

Meis has already broken off several bricks from the courtyard wall, but figuring out how to break the bricks apart is the problem.

Meis decided to go into the dilapidated house to see if there was anything usable.

Xu Aiguo, who was about to say something, quickly shut up when he saw Mei Si return, pretending to be obedient and docile.

Seeing that the three of them weren't slacking off, Mei Si ignored them and went straight into the kitchen on the side.

"Clang! Squeak..." Mei Si searched for a long time before finally finding a rusty knife.

Mei Si came out with a knife and saw Mei Liang and the others craning their necks to look in their direction.

"What are you looking at? Your horse stance is not up to standard. Add another 10 minutes!" Mei Si said, pointing her knife at Mei Liang and the other two, whose bodies were slightly crooked.

"Let's talk this out! Don't say 10 minutes, 20 minutes is fine too!" Zhang Yuanchao looked at the machete pointing at him and his heart trembled. He was afraid that Mei Si would get excited when she spoke and throw the knife at him.

"Si... Master! Don't be impulsive! I promise I'll practice the horse stance properly and never ask about learning the moves again. You can hold the stance for as long as you want!" Xu Aiguo tried desperately to control his trembling legs, but he couldn't. He could only pray in his heart that Mei Si didn't see his unruly legs.

"I'm your own brother!!!" Mei Liang's voice trembled with fright.

Mei Si looked at the knife in her hand and understood why they were so afraid; they were afraid of dying.

"You're overthinking it. If I wanted to kill you, you wouldn't have time to waste here talking nonsense." Mei Si glanced at the three of them disdainfully and went straight out to chop bricks.

"Phew! Mei Liang, your sister is terrifying! I was so afraid she'd just throw the knife at me!" Xu Aiguo exhaled, still somewhat shaken.

"You guys are such cowards. My sister is very sensible. She has never thrown anything away since she was a child." Mei Liang came to his senses and realized that his behavior just now was particularly cowardly. Mei Si is his own sister. How could she possibly throw a machete at him?

"Your sister went out with a machete, I wonder what she's up to. Shall we go check on her?" Zhang Yuanchao felt his earlier fear was inexplicable. He had known Mei Si for so long and knew what kind of person she was; she was definitely not the type to throw things around carelessly. Now, Zhang Yuanchao was worried that the girl might hurt him.

"You should check it out, don't hurt yourself. If you go home, your dad will beat you to death." Xu Aiguo had figured it out during his time at the Mei family. The Mei family was different from other families; they favored girls over boys.

"Then let's go check on her right away!" Mei Liang was also anxious, fearing that something might have happened to Mei Si.

When the three of them arrived at the courtyard gate, they heard a "click-clack" sound outside.

"This thing is no good!" After breaking two bricks with a machete, Mays had to stop and examine the thing.

Meiss examined the machete closely and noticed that its blade had many nicks and chips, indicating that it couldn't cut through bricks on its own. After careful consideration, Meiss decided that adding speed and strength should make it possible.

Mei Si weighed the machete in her hand, then swung it forcefully at the brick on the ground. With a "whoosh," the brick remained intact.

Upon witnessing this scene, the three had just begun to think that Mei Si was all show and no substance and that they might have been tricked when they saw Mei Si use her machete to shovel and split the brick on the ground in two.

"Wow! Master! That's amazing!" Xu Aiguo completely forgot that they were peeking.

"Who let you come here? Go back to your horse stance, 20 minutes." Mei Si had just heard them muttering in the yard. She was going to pretend she didn't hear them and let them off the hook, but she didn't expect them to walk right over here.

Mei Si: Gou Sheng said that no one should know about Dali's strength. What should the three of them do? Should they be silenced?

The three of them were chilled by Mei Si's icy gaze and immediately felt a chill run down their spines. They were so frightened that they dared not say another word and ran back to practice their horse stance as fast as they could.

Mei Si: Mei Liang is related to me by blood, so I can't kill him. The other two seem alright to look at, and they might be useful in the future.

Meis broke the remaining two bricks and took the six small bricks into the yard.

Mei Liang and the other two became completely obedient in the courtyard, standing in a horse stance and not daring to say a word. Mei Si's gaze just now was too frightening, and their hearts were still pounding.

After behaving themselves for half a month, Mei Liang and his friends forgot how terrible Mei Si was. Encouraged by Zhang Yuanchao and Xu Aiguo, Mei Liang finally decided to ask Mei Si when they could learn something else.

"Master, when...when can we learn martial arts techniques?"
