Chapter 140

"Why can't we say it?" Mei Si asked, puzzled. What was so wrong with saying this?

"Did you tell my dad that you're an alien?" Bu Yao rolled his eyes, then suddenly his eyes lit up. He pursed his lips and looked at Mei Si out of the corner of his eye as he asked.

"Oh right, I haven't told your dad that I'm from Buyao." Mei Si suddenly realized that she had indeed forgotten to tell Ce Lou about it.

Mei Si hadn't told him before because she didn't know Wang Ce Lou was also a time traveler. Now that she did, Mei Si felt she should tell Wang Ce Lou that she was also a time traveler.

Bu Yao breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that her mother would keep the secret for the time being.

Bu Yao: I need to hurry up and make sure I flatter my dad so he thinks I'm the best daughter in the world. That way, even if my mom accidentally lets it slip, my dad won't be able to do anything to me!

“That’s perfect, let’s all talk about it tonight!” Mei Si nodded, thinking it was a great idea, so that her family would have no secrets anymore.

"...Mom! I love you so much! You are the best mom in the world~!" Bu Yao suddenly hugged Mei Si's waist and shouted loudly.

"Hahaha! Your great-granddaughter, you have such a sweet tongue!" Grandma Yu's neighbor couldn't help but burst into laughter upon hearing Bu Yao's words.

"This girl, don't underestimate her just because she's so young, she's very clever. She already knows how to say what you want to hear!" Grandma Yu said with a smile as she glanced at her great-granddaughter who was flattering Mei Si.

"Really? How old is your great-granddaughter?"

"Just 10 months old..."

"Oh." Mei Si didn't react in any particular way to Bu Yao's confession. She just gave a faint reply, indicating that she knew.

"Mom, Dad can't know about this right now." Bu Yao's mind raced as he desperately tried to figure out how to stop Mei Si.

"What can't your dad know? I tell your dad everything. I just forgot before, but now that I've remembered, I should have told him we're both time travelers sooner rather than later." Mei Si frowned. There were still things he couldn't know?

"Mom, did Dad tell you that he's a time traveler?" Bu Yao suddenly stared at Mei Si and asked with a serious expression.

"No."

“We should wait until my dad wants to talk about time travelers, then we can all talk together. If we talk about it first, wouldn’t that be forcing my dad to tell us his secrets as well?” Bu Yao said, looking like he was doing it for everyone’s good.

“But we know your dad is a time traveler, right? He’s the one who doesn’t know yet…” Mei Si frowned. She felt that something was wrong with what her daughter was saying.

They know that Celou is a time traveler, but Celou doesn't know that they are too. It seems wrong for them not to tell Celou.

“But my dad doesn’t know we know he’s a time traveler. The fact that he’s not bringing it up means he doesn’t want us to know yet. Since he doesn’t want to talk about it, we should pretend we don’t know he’s a time traveler. If we tell him we’re time travelers…”

"Alright, just tell me directly, when can I tell your dad?" Mei Si was dizzy and confused. She was impatient to listen to her daughter anymore, so she simply interrupted her and wanted to hear the result directly.

"We'll tell him when he confesses that he's a time traveler."

"Okay, I understand."

When Bu Yao saw that Mei Si had agreed, she quickly wiped the sweat from her forehead. She really hoped that her father would never have to admit that he was a time traveler!

Bu Yao lived cautiously, afraid that Wang Celou would discover something was wrong. She felt extremely tired every day, not as relaxed as when she was working in her previous life. She didn't know why she felt tired at work back then.

Now, Bu Yao acts like a pervert every day, spying on other people's children and then going home to act out their stories.

When Buyao turned one year old, she woke up in the morning, looked at the roof, and felt a pang of sadness. She had lived here for a year, a difficult year!

"Little birthday star, are you up yet? Grandma made you longevity noodles!" Wang Ma pushed open the door to Bu Yao's room and asked with a smile.

"Grandma, I'm awake!" Bu Yao shook her head and responded sweetly, holding onto the bed railing as she tried to sit up and wait for her grandma to come and help her get dressed.

Bu Yao: When will I be able to dress myself and go to the toilet by myself?

"Snap!"

Bu Yao stared blankly at the wooden stick in her hand. The stick looked somewhat familiar; it seemed to be the railing of her crib!

"Yaoyao must dress up beautifully today! Ah, I found it, she'll wear this one!" Wang Ma opened Buyao's wardrobe and started looking for a pretty dress for her granddaughter.

Upon hearing Wang Ma's words, Bu Yao immediately snapped out of her daze and quickly stuffed the wooden stick under her pillow before Wang Ma turned around.

After dressing her granddaughter, Wang Ma wanted her to go out by herself so she could fold the blankets for her.

"Grandma! Carry me out." Bu Yao leaned against Wang Ma, rubbing against her back and forth, insisting that she carry him out.

Looking at her granddaughter acting spoiled, Wang Ma's heart melted. She picked up her granddaughter, gave her a big kiss, and decided to come back later to fold the blankets for her.

When Wang Celou saw his mother carrying Bu Yao out, he frowned, but considering that it was Bu Yao's birthday today, he decided to let her off the hook for now.

"Mom, Mom! Come here!" As soon as Bu Yao sat down on his little chair, he quickly waved and called to Mei Si.

Seeing that Bu Yao looked anxious, Mei Si went over to listen to what Bu Yao had to say.

"Mom, I've broken the guardrail off the crib." Bu Yao grabbed Mei Si's arm, pulled her down, and whispered in her ear.
