Chapter 11 Private Investigator

Chapter 11 Private Investigator

Zhou Zechuan complained softly, not knowing what he was rummaging through. A moment later, he heard the sound of the door closing.

Ji Wan sat up, rubbed his messy hair, and a dark light flashed in his drooping dark eyes.

Did Zhou Zechuan go to see Chi Wenyan? To discuss business again? I heard he's planning some kind of retirement project lately. How ironic.

Ji Wan's mind raced as he got out of bed, washed and dressed, then opened the door.

The servant who was cleaning the living room was startled when he saw Ji Wan, nodded and said, "Good morning, Madam."

Ji Wan nodded, ate breakfast and prepared to go out.

"Where are you going, ma'am?"

"What's wrong, Aunt Li? We can't even go out now?" Aunt Li was shocked and quickly said no.

Ji Wan sneered. This Aunt Li kept an eye on her at home and would ask her a few questions every time she went out.

It was even worse a few years ago. I had to tell her wherever I went, and she would ask me this and that in the name of concern. At that time, I foolishly thought that she really cared about me.

In fact, it is just another disguised form of surveillance.

"Madam, it's cold outside, and there's an autumn wind blowing today. It might rain tonight, so it's better to come back early."

Ji Wan smiled slightly and said, "I understand, Aunt Li, I'm not a three-year-old child anymore. I'll go out and get a manicure and I'll be back soon."

After saying that, she winked and left with her latest bag.

Mother Li watched Ji Wan leave, put down the mop, a hint of sarcasm flashed in her eyes, shook her head and continued to mop the floor.

In a cafe on Wenlin Street, Ji Wan was wearing a black windbreaker, with her long black wavy hair draped over her shoulders neatly and softly.

With a pair of sunglasses on her petite face, she exudes the aura of a mature queen.

A moment later, a woman sat in front of Ji Wan. She was wearing a brown windbreaker and had a neat ponytail, looking heroic.

"How's it going?"

"Sorry Miss Ji, there is still no news from Mr. Ji."

Ji Wan took a sip of coffee and was not surprised. She had heard this result countless times in the past two years.

After Ji Lin disappeared, she looked for many people privately, even consulted many private detectives, but could hardly find him.

"It's okay, keep investigating. I don't want to give up," the woman sighed. "My employer is turning the entire Yucheng upside down, but this guy seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth."

"The person may not be in Yucheng anymore."

Ji Wan rubbed the cup with a serious look in his eyes. This possibility was the most likely.

"Have you found out who my brother came into contact with before he disappeared?"

"When you entrusted us with the task, it was already quite a while ago, and there were very few clues, so it was difficult to track down the people Mr. Ji had previously contacted."

Ji Wan rubbed her forehead. Her brother's circle of friends only had a few people. When he disappeared, she called them one by one, but there were no useful clues.

"I understand, but I will never give up hope. However, this time I want you to keep an eye on one person."

"You say."

"Zhou Zechuan."

A grand feast of the sea and sky.

Folk music echoed inside the bar. Ji Wan sat in a booth, drinking alone.

"Is that person Ji Wan?"

"It seems so, judging from the back."

Someone was whispering behind him, and Ji Wan looked back at the person behind him.

There were only a few women sitting there, wearing branded clothes and carrying bags worth tens of thousands of dollars, and they kept looking at her.

Ji Wan didn't want to pay any attention and just drank by himself, but there was someone who didn't know what was good for him. He laughed a few times and walked over with his waist twisted.

"Miss Ji, long time no see, how have you been lately?"
