Chapter 27 Blood

Chapter 27 Blood

"Wanwan, how's the plan customization going?"

In Zhou Zechuan's office, he put one arm around Ji Wan's waist and used the other hand to pick up the documents beside Ji Wan.

"It's all been drawn up. I'm really not suited to this kind of professional stuff. Just looking at the documents makes me dizzy."

Ji Wan rubbed his forehead, looking like he had a headache.

"But I can still handle some simple reports." Ji Wan said, and showed an expression that he was about to praise me.

Zhou Zechuan smiled and touched Ji Wan's head.

"Yes, yes, Wanwan is the best."

"Zechuan, are you only going to open a nursing home when developing the land this time? Can't you open a luxury bag store or something?"

"You fool, why build luxury bags next to a nursing home? No one will buy them."

Although Zhou Zechuan spoke to Ji Wan in a doting tone, he felt a hint of contempt in his heart. Ji Wan didn't even know such common sense.

What kind of waves can she stir up in the company?

"How could I understand as much as you do? I'm just asking to relieve your stress."

The more Ji Wan coaxed Zhou Zechuan, the more he believed that Zhou Zechuan had no real talent, and the more he began to take her lightly.

After coaxing Zhou Zechuan for a few words, he managed to get a lot of information out of him.

After chatting for a while, Ji Wan left.

As soon as he left a certain area, he felt a gaze sweeping over and staring at Ji Wan.

Sun Shan sat at her workstation, her eyes piercing Ji Wan, as if she had caught him cheating in the office. Ji Wan turned his gaze away and chuckled.

"If you keep staring at one thing, it's easy to get cross-eyed."

After saying this, without even looking at Sun Shan's ugly face, Ji Wan went straight back to the office.

A grand feast of the sea and sky.

Zhou Zechuan rubbed his hands and frequently glanced at Chi Wenyan's expression out of the corner of his eyes.

"Brother Chi, I've been too busy with work lately and haven't had time to come see you. Do you want to come with Feng Hao and the others tonight..."

Before he could finish his words, he was interrupted by the other party.

"No need. I've been busy these past two days. How are your preparations for the land auction going?"

Chi Wenyan's words were like cold water poured over Zhou Zechuan's head, reminding him that although his expression remained unchanged, he couldn't stop cursing in his heart.

If Zhou Zechuan had given him less money, he could have done it faster.

"Everything is going according to plan. I'm determined to win this land bidding. Brother Chi, just wait and see."

Feng Hao, who was standing by, sneered when he heard this.

"Okay, I'll keep an eye on it."

"Brother Chi, I've used a lot of connections for this auction, so the cost is bound to be high. Take a look..."

"Hey Zechuan, this is how business works, spending money like water. We understand your difficulties, so don't be polite, take this 50,000."

After saying that, Feng Hao took out five stacks of money from his pocket and threw them directly to Zhou Zechuan.

Zhou Zechuan's expression kept changing. The 50,000 yuan was not enough for him.

Who is Feng Hao looking down on by doing this?

But Feng Hao's behavior inevitably makes people think too much about Chi Wenyan's attitude.

Zhou Zechuan said no more and left with the 50,000 yuan.

"Second brother, how do you think Zhou Zechuan will retaliate against us?"

"Let's see if he has the courage."

The next morning, sunlight shone through the gaps in the curtains onto Ji Wan's face. She opened her eyes and subconsciously looked at the calendar.

Today is the day for her to visit the old house. Ji Wan's mood becomes much better when she thinks about going back to the old house.

After a quick tidy up and breakfast in the morning, he vaguely answered Wu Ma's questions, asked for leave and went to the Ji family's old house.

Regarding Ji Lin’s disappearance, she would go back every week to check on him.

She thought that maybe her brother would return to the old house, but for some reason he couldn't contact her, or he didn't remember anything but remembered the location of the old house.

As soon as I open the door, I can see my brother.

The wheels gently rolled over the familiar road, and each rut was like a mark of time, recording the changes in the Ji family's honor and disgrace.

After a moment, the old house stood there quietly, like an old man who had witnessed the passage of time, silent and solemn.

Ji Wan felt mixed emotions. This place had once been filled with laughter and joy, but now, only dusty memories and the echoing silence remained. He pushed open the door, and the old hinges creaked softly, as if telling stories of the past.

There should have been servants cleaning this place, but for fear of Zhou Zechuan becoming suspicious, they decided to leave it deserted.

Entering the old house, Ji Wan began to clean. Every speck of dust carried a fragment of the past. As she wiped, her heart was also sorting out, trying to brush away the pain and leave behind pure memories.

While cleaning the library, Ji Wan's fingertips gently brushed the spines of books, finally stopping in front of a photo frame. His brother Ji Lin's young and handsome face was filled with confidence and sunshine.

Gently stroking it, I felt a small bump on the back of the photo, as if something was stuck on it.

Turning the photo around, I saw a bloodstain. The bloodstain had dried into a brownish color, and I didn't know how much time had passed.

Ji Wan was shocked and held the photo with trembling hands, his head buzzing. Fortunately, he was still rational and immediately went to find a sealed bag to put it in.

After leaving the old house and sitting in the car, my heart was beating like a drum.

Perhaps because her face was too pale, and she was afraid that Zhou Zechuan would become suspicious when she got home, she simply found a coffee shop in the city center and prepared to drink some hot cocoa to warm herself up.

As he drank, his thoughts flew and his cold body gradually warmed up. Ji Wan picked up his phone and prepared to find a friend to send the bloodstain for identification.

If it was really her brother's blood, she had to find a way to figure out what happened.

Perhaps she was too focused and didn't notice a figure walking towards her. When the person sat down in front of her, Ji Wan blinked and reacted.

"Why are you here?"

“I am everywhere.”

Chi Wenyan smiled, raised the coffee in his hand and chuckled. The arc of his smile was not big, but it made people feel a little refreshed.

Ji Wan's eyelids twitched.

"Blue Sky Real Estate is preparing to open champagne at halftime and hold a business dinner in two days to warm up this piece of land."

Ji Wan stretched, trying to relax the stiffness he had just felt.

"Can."

"Does that mean you want to participate?"

"Of course, such an interesting banquet must be visited."

The two looked at each other, like a cunning cat and a fox.

"Is the dress ready?" Chi Wenyan asked suddenly. His straightforwardness caught Ji Wan off guard.

"No, I don't know how to get into this party."

"Zhou Zechuan won't take you with him?"

Ji Wan sneered. Zhou Zechuan was most afraid of appearing at the banquet, for fear that he would say something wrong and expose their relationship.

"Do you want to go?"

"I want to see what Zhou Zechuan looks like in front of those people." Ji Wan said sarcastically.

"Leave it to me." Chi Wenyan said in a light tone, as if getting a spot at this banquet that many people wanted to get into was just like playing house to him.
