Chapter 327 Investigation Details

Chapter 327 Investigation Details

In the car, He Wanqing continued to make up lies about Ji Wan. "Actually, Ji Wan has had an extreme personality since she was a child. Many people know this. She hates our family, especially me, because my mother once helped her mother, but her mother refused to pay it back, which led to the deterioration of the relationship between our two families."

Chi Wenyan was driving attentively, seemingly listening carefully, but actually he understood everything in his mind.

He had anticipated He Wanqing's lies, but he didn't expect her to be so "detailed".

"Ms. He," Chi Wenyan suddenly said, "I don't want to get involved in the feud between you and Ji Wan. If there is nothing else, please don't look for me again in the future."

He Wanqing's expression changed, "Second Master, you don't believe me?"

"It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not," Chi Wenyan said calmly, "What's important is that I don't want to be involved in your dispute."

He Wanqing bit her lip, her eyes full of unwillingness, but she didn't dare to continue to pester him.

The car drove in awkward silence and finally stopped near He Wanqing's residence.

"Thank you, Second Master, for sending me back." He Wanqing hesitated before getting out of the car and asked, "Second Master, do you... like Ji Wan?"

Chi Wenyan glanced at her, did not answer, and just said lightly: "Goodbye, Miss He."

He Wanqing stood by the roadside, watching Chi Wenyan's car go away. The expression on her face changed from loss to anger, and finally to a cold determination.

She took out her cell phone and dialed a number.

"Hello, it's me. I need you to help me check some things about Ji Wan and the Chi Group..."

At the same time, Ji Wan has returned to the company.

As soon as she entered the office area, she felt the strange looks and whispers from her colleagues.

Cheng Wen walked over quickly, looking nervous.

"Ji Wan, Manager Liu is looking for you. It seems urgent."

Ji Wan nodded and walked straight to Liu Zixin's office.

Before she could knock, the office door was opened and Liu Zixin stood at the door with an extremely enthusiastic smile on his face.

"Ji Wan, are you back? Come in and sit down."

Ji Wan looked at Liu Zixin's abnormal behavior warily and stepped into the office.

Liu Zixin personally poured her a glass of water and handed it to her enthusiastically.

"I heard that you won the Fu family's project? That's amazing, I knew you could do it." Liu Zixin smiled, his attitude was completely different from that in the morning.

Ji Wan took the water cup, his expression unchanged, "Boss Fu is very interested in our proposal and has basically agreed to cooperate."

"Great, great!" Liu Zixin said excitedly, "This is a big project. If it succeeds, the performance of our entire department will be greatly improved."

Ji Wan looked at him calmly, "So, Manager Liu, what do you want to talk to me about?"

Liu Zixin restrained his smile and said seriously, "Well, now that the project has been agreed, the next step is to deal with the details of the implementation. Considering that you have just joined the company and may not be familiar with the company's procedures and regulations, I think I will be responsible for the next step."

Ji Wan narrowed his eyes. "Manager Liu, do you mean to take over my project?"

"No, no, no, I'm not taking over," Liu Zixin explained quickly, "I'm just helping you complete the follow-up work. After all, such a large project involves so many details that it's difficult for one person to handle it all."

Ji Wan sneered, "This morning you said I was too inexperienced to handle big clients, so you had to take over personally. Now that I've won the project, you're saying you'll 'assist' me? Manager Liu, your stance has changed so quickly."

Hearing her say this, Liu Zixin's expression changed slightly, but he soon smiled again.

"Ji Wan, don't misunderstand me. I'm only considering the overall interests of the company. Although you're very capable, you're inexperienced after all. If you make a mistake in handling the details and offend President Fu, the losses will be huge."

"So what is your conclusion?" Ji Wan asked bluntly.

Liu Zixin cleared his throat. "I think I should be responsible for the subsequent contact and coordination with Mr. Fu. You can focus on refining and executing the plan. This will not only leverage your professional strengths, but also ensure the smooth progress of the project."

Ji Wan looked at Liu Zixuan's hypocritical smile and understood.

She knew exactly what this person was planning.

They want to take the opportunity to claim credit, and may even secretly tamper with the plan and take all the credit for themselves.

In the evening, Ji Wan returned home exhausted.

She found that her grandmother had already fallen asleep and the nannies had gone back to their rooms to rest.

The whole villa was unusually quiet, with only the lights on in the kitchen.

She walked into the kitchen and saw Chi Lin sitting at the dining table with some documents and a cup of coffee in front of him.

Hearing footsteps, Chi Lin raised his head, "Are you back? Have you eaten?"

The man's tone was unexpectedly gentle.

Ji Wan shook his head, "Not yet."

"I asked the kitchen to leave some food. Do you want to heat it up?" Chi Lin stood up and walked towards the refrigerator.

Ji Wan was a little surprised by his attentiveness, but did not refuse. "Thank you."

Chi Lin took out a few dishes from the refrigerator and heated them in the microwave.

Ji Wan sat at the dining table, looking at Chi Lin's busy back, feeling mixed emotions.

"I heard that you went to the horse farm again today?" Chi Lin asked while preparing tableware.

Ji Wan nodded, "Fu Qichuan invited me to discuss the Qihai project."

"How did the conversation go?"

"Not bad, he basically agreed with my plan." Ji Wan answered briefly.

Chi Lin turned around, a hint of surprise on his face, "So fast? Fu Qichuan is not someone who is easily persuaded."

"I participated in the horse riding competition he organized and won his favor." Ji Wan said calmly.

Chi Lin frowned slightly. "Horse riding competition? When did you learn to ride a horse?"

"My father taught me when I was a child." Ji Wan looked out the window with a light tone.

The microwave oven made a "ding" sound, and Chi Lin took out the heated dishes and placed them in front of Ji Wan.

"Eat, you must be hungry all day."

Ji Wan picked up his chopsticks and whispered a thank you. They ate in silence for a while before Ji Wan finally spoke.

"Chi Lin, I want to talk to you about the company."

Chi Lin raised his head, "What's the matter?"

"Liu Zixin," Ji Wan said bluntly, "He wants to take credit for my work."

Chi Lin put down his chopsticks and asked, "What's going on?"

Ji Wan told Chi Lin everything that happened in the morning and afternoon, including how Liu Zixin had initially prevented her from meeting Fu Qichuan, and how he wanted to take over the project after she succeeded.

"He said that I have little experience and it is difficult for me to deal with big clients, so he should be responsible for the follow-up work." There was obvious dissatisfaction in Ji Wan's voice.

Chi Lin pondered for a moment. "This is a common practice in the company. Major projects are usually handled by senior employees or department managers, especially those involving communication with important clients."

Ji Wan put down his chopsticks and looked at Chi Lin in disbelief. "You mean, you support him?"

"That's not what I meant," Chi Lin explained. "I just said it complies with the company's rules."
