Chapter 343 Sanatorium

Chapter 343 Sanatorium

"I'm fine." Hua Ying said with a smile.

She completely forgot her previous out-of-control behavior and continued, "Nanxing came back today and brought me a lot of small gifts from abroad."

Ji Wan looked at Jing Nanxing gratefully, and the other party responded with an understanding smile.

"Mom, have a good rest. I'll come to see you tomorrow." Ji Wan said softly.

She just wants to be alone now.

Hua Ying nodded, "Okay, you should rest well too, because you look very tired."

"good."

Ji Wan bid farewell to his mother and Jing Nanxing and walked out of the sanatorium.

The night wind blew on her cheeks, taking away some of her fatigue, but it could not take away the bitterness in her heart.

She finally made the decision to end this marriage that had long been dead in name only.

Although the road ahead is still full of challenges, at least she no longer lives in lies and deception.

After hailing a taxi, Ji Wan told the hotel's address, then leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes.

She came to the man and negotiated with him.

"I accept the second option." Chi Lin looked at Ji Wan, a shrewd calculation flashing in his eyes, "But I have an additional condition."

Ji Wan looked at him indifferently and said, "Speak."

"In public, you must continue to play the role of my wife." Chi Lin said in a low voice, "Company events, family gatherings, social occasions, we must attend together and act as loving as ever."

Ji Wan sneered, "Are you worried that it will affect your image?"

"This is good for both of us," Chi Lin emphasized. "If the outside world knew we were getting a divorce, the Qihai project might be affected. You wouldn't want to see that outcome, right?"

Ji Wan thought for a moment and nodded, "Okay, but only on important occasions. In daily life, I have the right to choose whether to attend."

"Deal." Chi Lin stretched out his hand, as if wanting to shake hands.

But Ji Wan just looked at him coldly and turned away.

"I'll have my lawyer prepare the agreement tomorrow and sign it then." Ji Wan said without turning back, "As for tonight, I won't be going home. You can make your own arrangements."

Chi Lin looked at her receding back, a trace of regret flashed in his eyes, but soon turned into anger and unwillingness.

Ten o'clock in the evening, in the presidential suite of the Sands Hotel.

Chi Lin drank three glasses of liquor in one breath, his face showing drunkenness and anger.

"Brother Lin, stop drinking." Ning Weiwei sat across from him and advised him distressedly, "Drinking too much is bad for your health."

Chi Lin put down his wine glass and sneered, "Did you know? Ji Wan wants to divorce me."

Ning Weiwei's eyes flashed with surprise, but she quickly concealed it as concern. "Why? Because of what happened at the temple today?"

"She's known about our relationship for a long time." Chi Lin smiled bitterly, "She saw us together since the wedding day."

Ning Weiwei gasped, "So long? She actually kept it to herself?"

"Yes, I've been holding it in until today when it exploded." Chi Lin's eyes turned gloomy. "She gave me two choices: divorce immediately and divide the property equally, or wait until the Qihai project is over before divorcing."

"She doesn't trust you." Ning Weiwei immediately seized the opportunity to sow discord. "If she really loved you, she wouldn't be so fussy. She obviously only cares about money."

Chi Lin shook his head. "No, she has the right to do so. I betrayed her."

Ning Weiwei curled her lips in dissatisfaction, "Brother Lin, you are too kind. Her feelings for you were never deep, and now she is so close to Chi Wenyan..."

"Don't mention Chi Wenyan." Chi Lin suddenly raised his voice, his eyes full of jealousy and anger, "That hypocrite, why is he pretending to be a savior?"

Seeing this, Ning Weiwei tactfully changed the subject and said softly, "Brother Lin, since Ji Wan has decided to divorce, then we..."

Chi Lin raised his hand to interrupt her, "Weiwei, this must end between us."

Ning Weiwei's face turned pale. "What? Why?"

"Ji Wan gave me one last chance, I can't let her down again."

Chi Lin sighed, "Besides, I need to focus on the Qihai project in the short term, and I can't make any mistakes."

Ning Weiwei's eyes sparkled with tears. "So, I'm just a pastime for you? A plaything you can discard at any time?"

"That's not the case," Chi Lin explained hurriedly, "You are very important to me, but the situation is special now..."

"I understand." Ning Weiwei suddenly calmed down and wiped away her tears. "Since you've made up your mind, I respect your choice. But can you... fulfill one small wish of mine?"

Chi Lin frowned slightly, "What wish?"

"Let me cook one last dinner for you, tomorrow." Ning Weiwei's eyes were earnest. "Just think of it as our farewell ceremony."

Chi Lin hesitated for a moment, and finally nodded in agreement, "Okay, just this once. Tomorrow night, and then we'll be done with it."

Ning Weiwei forced a smile, but a hint of imperceptible calculation flashed in her eyes.

At the same time, in a high-end apartment in the central area of Yucheng, Ji Wan stood at the door with a suitcase and rang the doorbell.

After a while, Jing Nanxing opened the door and saw Ji Wan's tired look. Without saying a word, he took her luggage and said, "Come in. I have already cleaned up the guest room."

Ji Wan looked at him gratefully, "Thank you, Nanxing."

"Why are you thanking me? We're not close friends." Jing Nanxing asked with concern, "What would you like to drink? Tea or hot chocolate?"

"Hot chocolate, if you have any." Ji Wan said softly, looking tired and fragile.

"Of course, I prepared it especially for you." Jing Nanxing smiled and walked towards the kitchen. "Please sit down first. It will be ready soon."

Ji Wan looked around. Jing Nanxing's apartment was spacious and bright, with a simple yet warm decoration.

She sat down on the sofa and felt relieved.

A moment later, Jing Nanxing came back with two cups of hot chocolate coffee and sat down next to her. "Want to talk?"

Ji Wan took the hot chocolate coffee, took a sip, and felt a little calmer as he felt the warm liquid slide into his throat.

"I'm going to divorce Chi Lin." She said briefly.

Jing Nanxing was not surprised, as if he had expected it. "Finally made a decision?"

Ji Wan nodded and told him everything that happened today, including what she saw in the temple, Chi Lin's lies, and the two options she proposed.

"That bastard." Jing Nanxing clenched his fists in anger after hearing this. "He cheated on you since the wedding day, and he still has the nerve to blame you? How dare he say that?"

Ji Wan smiled bitterly, "I should have seen his true face earlier."

"No, it's not your fault." Jing Nanxing said seriously, "He doesn't know how to cherish you. You are so outstanding, you deserve someone better."

Ji Wan looked at Jing Nanxing with emotion, "Thank you for always being by my side."

"Of course, this is what I should do." Jing Nanxing's voice was gentle but firm. "I promised your father that I would take good care of you and Aunt Hua."
