Chapter 483 Panic
The assistant's voice was a little flustered.
Chi Wenyan's face instantly became so gloomy that water seemed to drip out of it, and the coldness around him was even worse than before.
He stood up suddenly, his eyes filled with rage: "Run away? I want to see where she can run to."
He rushed out of the room in a few steps and came to the door of the guest room. Looking at the cloth strips fluttering in the wind, a bloodthirsty sneer appeared on the corner of his mouth: "Su Jiujiu, you are really capable. Do you think you can escape from my clutches like this?"
He took out his cell phone and quickly dialed a few numbers, his voice as cold as ice.
"Listen to me, Su Jiujiu ran away from the villa. She's wearing yesterday's clothes. She might be injured. Dig three feet underground to find her. Alive, she must be brought back to me. Dead, hmph, even if she's dead, you must drag her body back to me."
"Yes, Mr. Chi." A uniform response came from the other end of the phone.
"Assistant," Chi Wenyan turned to the pale assistant beside him, his eyes sharp as an eagle, "Mobilize all available personnel and seal all exits. Don't let anyone go. If she wants to play, I will play with her."
"Yes, President." The assistant immediately went to carry out the order.
Chi Wenyan stood at the door of the empty guest room, the night wind blowing the loose hair on his forehead. In his deep eyes, there was the excitement and cruelty of a hunter setting his sights on his prey.
"Su Jiujiu, you'd better pray that I don't catch you."
His voice was low and dangerous, and it was particularly frightening in the quiet night.
He wanted to let her know that the consequences of angering him were worse than going to hell.
The night is like a thick inkstone, and the inextricable oppression shrouds every corner of the city.
A black Bentley was lurking quietly in the inconspicuous shadows on the street, like a cheetah waiting for its opportunity.
In the back seat, Zhao Xiyue's fingertips tapped casually on the dark car window glass, but her eyes were as sharp as a hawk, fixed on the entrance of an alley not far away.
She had waited for this moment for too long.
Tonight is the time to close the net.
Soon, a furtive figure hurriedly emerged from the alley. His cap was pulled low, and his oversized sunglasses almost covered half his face. He clutched a small duffel bag tightly in his arms. His steps were unsteady, and he kept looking back, looking like a guilty thief. Who else could it be but Su Jiujiu?
She had obviously just escaped from somewhere and was still in shock.
The corners of Zhao Xiyue's mouth slowly curled up into an icy arc, the smile did not reach her eyes, and it was filled with a faint cold light.
"Su Jiujiu, there's a road to heaven but you don't take it, there's no door to hell but you keep barging in. Where else do you think you can run to?" She said in a steady voice, coldly ordering the driver in the front seat, "Now that we're here, get to it. Be clean and don't drag things out."
"Yes, Miss Zhao." The driver responded in a deep voice.
Just as Su Jiujiu looked around in panic, trying to identify the direction, the Bentley engine roared and rushed out like an arrow.
With a swift and precise drift, the heavy car body with a terrifying momentum stood steadily in front of Su Jiujiu, completely blocking all her escape routes.
The tires rubbed against the ground, making a sharp screeching sound. Su Jiujiu let out a short scream, frightened out of her wits. The luggage bag in her arms fell to the ground with a "click", and the things inside were scattered all over the floor.
She raised her head in horror, and the car window slowly lowered, revealing Zhao Xiyue's face, which now looked like a Shura demanding death to her.
"Zhao Xiyue?" Su Jiujiu's voice was trembling unsteadily, her pupils constricted with extreme fear. "Why are you here?"
She never expected that after she had gone to great lengths to escape from Chi Wenyan's cage, she would run into Zhao Xiyue head-on.
"Miss Su, you're in such a hurry. Where are you going to hide?" Zhao Xiyue's tone was playful, but her eyes were as cold as ice. "Are you afraid of the surprise that Mr. Chi has arranged for you, or are you afraid that you can't hold back on what's going on in your mind anymore and are in a hurry to run away?"
Every word was like a sharp blade, piercing Su Jiujiu's heart.
The blood drained from her face in an instant, turning as pale as paper. Her lips trembled, but she couldn't utter a word.
She staggered back a step, turned around and tried to run.
"Want to run?" Zhao Xiyue sneered, her laughter full of disdain and mockery. "Su Jiujiu, where do you want to run to in front of me?"
Without waiting for Su Jiujiu to react, the driver, who had been silent all the time, opened the car door like a ghost and approached.
Su Jiujiu only felt a flash before her eyes, a sharp pain in the back of her neck, and then her vision went black. She completely lost consciousness and fell down softly.
The driver moved quickly, even a little roughly, and picked up the limp Su Jiujiu and stuffed her into the back seat without mercy, like throwing away a useless piece of trash.
Then he returned to the driver's seat with an expressionless face, restarted the engine, and the car drove away smoothly, quickly merging into the traffic flow in the night, as if the thrilling scene just now had never happened.
Zhao Xiyue lowered her eyes, her cold gaze falling on the unconscious Su Jiujiu's face. Emotions surged in her eyes, eventually turning into a bottomless cold pool.
"Su Jiujiu, ah Su Jiujiu," Zhao Xiyue's voice was as light as a sigh, yet it carried a piercing chill, and every word seemed to be squeezed out from between her teeth. "Why do you have to plot against Wanwan and Nian Nian when there are so many people you can plot against? Are you worthy of touching them with your filthy hands?"
She stretched out her hand, with undisguised disgust, and patted Su Jiujiu's bloodless cheek hard. Every word she spoke was clear to the bone.
"Do you think this is the end? No, this is just the beginning. What you owe Wanwan, what you owe Nian Nian, and what you owe to everyone you've ever tricked, I will make you repay it bit by bit, double."
The carriage returned to dead silence, with only the low roar of the engine, like a dormant beast, carrying the furious Zhao Xiyue and the unaware Su Jiujiu, breaking through the night and heading for an unknown destination.
A belated reckoning has just begun.
The cold moisture seeped into her bones, and Su Jiujiu struggled to open her heavy eyelids in the sticky darkness.
The severe pain in the back of my neck had not yet subsided, and my limbs were all sore and weak.
She moved her fingers and touched the rough, cold concrete floor.
Where is this?
She sat up suddenly, and the uneasiness in her heart grew wildly like weeds.
It was pitch dark all around, and the air was filled with a sickening smell of mold and dust.
"Is anyone there?" she called out tentatively, her voice dry and hoarse with fear, sounding particularly abrupt in this dead silent space, but there was no response.
Just when she was about to be swallowed by the boundless darkness, there was a slight snap, and a beam of pale light suddenly lit up, causing her to squint subconsciously.
