Chapter 511 Victims

Chapter 511 Victims

She is obviously a victim too.

Ji Wan returned to the living room, her chest still clenched with discomfort. Zhao Xiyue's presence was like a blunt knife, re-opening her still-unhealed wound. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to calm her surging emotions.

For the sake of her children, she could tolerate it temporarily, but there were some injuries and betrayals that she would never forgive.

Zhao Xiyue's cries were blocked out by the cold iron gate, but Ji Wan felt as if the sound was still echoing in her ears, making her temples throb. She took a deep breath, suppressed her irritation, and poured all her energy into caring for Nian Nian and Yao Yao.

Nian Nian had just recovered and needed careful care. Yaoyao clung to her very closely, as if he wanted to make up for the maternal love he had been missing for these days.

Life in the villa gradually diluted those unpleasant memories because of the children's laughter.

Ji Wan deliberately avoided thinking about Chi Wenyan, and stopped recalling Zhao Xiyue’s tearful face.

As the days passed, Ji Wan's complexion improved a lot.

That afternoon, just as she had put her two children to sleep, her cell phone rang. It was Fu Chen.

"Wanwan, do you have time? Let's have dinner together?" Fu Chen's gentle voice came through the receiver.

Ji Wan glanced at the clear sky outside the window. She felt a little suffocated after being cooped up in the villa for the past few days. After a moment's thought, she agreed, "Okay. What time? Where?"

"I'll pick you up at six. I've already booked a restaurant."

"Well, thank you for your help."

After hanging up the phone, Ji Wan packed up and changed into a simple dress. She didn't want to dress too formally, as it was just an ordinary dinner with friends.

Fu Chen appeared at the door of the villa on time, still looking gentle and elegant, with a smile on his face, making people feel like they were in the spring breeze.

The restaurant is an elegant Western restaurant with soft lighting and soothing music.

"The steak here is good, you should try it." Fu Chen cut a small piece of steak for her and pushed it in front of her.

"Thank you." Ji Wan smiled and lowered his head to taste it.

The two chatted in low voices, mostly with Fu Chen telling some interesting stories about the flight, and Ji Wan listening quietly, occasionally responding a few words. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.

At this moment, a tall and stern figure with an imposing aura appeared at the door of the restaurant.

Chi Wenyan originally came here to inspect his business, but he saw two people chatting happily by the window at a glance.

The smile on Ji Wan's face was so gentle and relaxed, something he hadn't seen in a long time. But that smile wasn't directed at him at the moment.

A nameless rage exploded in his chest.

He stretched out his long legs and walked straight towards Ji Wan and Fu Chen, emitting a cold aura that kept strangers away.

"Ji Wan."

The cold voice shot towards Ji Wan like a poisoned arrow.

Ji Wan's hand holding the knife and fork froze, and the smile on her face froze instantly. She slowly raised her head and met Chi Wenyan's dark eyes burning with anger.

Fu Chen also noticed that the atmosphere was not right. He put down his cutlery and looked at Chi Wenyan politely: "Sir, may I ask who you are?"

Chi Wenyan didn't even look at him, his sharp eyes were fixed on Ji Wan, and his tone was domineering and tolerant of arguments: "Follow me."

"Chi Wenyan, what are you crazy about?" Ji Wan lowered his voice with a hint of embarrassment.

"I'm crazy?" Chi Wenyan sneered and reached out to grab Ji Wan's wrist. "You're chatting and laughing with other men here, and you ask me why I'm crazy?"

"Mr. Chi, please be respectful." Fu Chen stood up and stood in front of Ji Wan.

Chi Wenyan's gaze finally fell on Fu Chen, with scrutiny and hostility: "Who are you? Get out of here."

"I'm Wanwan's friend." Fu Chen said neither humbly nor arrogantly.

"Friend?" Chi Wenyan sneered, his eyes becoming even colder. "Ji Wan, I'll say it again, follow me."

He walked around Fu Chen and grabbed Ji Wan's wrist with such force that she couldn't help but frown.

"Chi Wenyan, let me go. We have nothing to talk about." Ji Wan struggled.

"If you have anything to say, come back with me and talk." Chi Wenyan didn't give her a chance to resist and dragged her out.

The other guests in the restaurant looked over with inquiry and curiosity.

Ji Wan's face was burning, and he just wanted to find a hole in the ground to crawl into.

Chi Wenyan dragged Ji Wan all the way into a luxurious and private VIP room on the top floor of the restaurant and slammed the door.

"Who is he? What is your relationship with him?" Chi Wenyan pushed her against the door panel, supporting her body with his arms on both sides, forming a restraining posture, and the anger in his eyes almost swallowed her.

Ji Wan was startled by his appearance, but then raised her head stubbornly: "It has nothing to do with you."

"It has nothing to do with me?" Chi Wenyan laughed in anger, pinching her chin and forcing her to look at him. "Ji Wan, you are my wife, Chi Wenyan. You were having dinner with another man and smiling so happily, and you say it has nothing to do with me?"

"We are getting a divorce." Ji Wan reminded him of this fact word by word.

"Divorce?" Chi Wenyan's eyes suddenly turned fierce. "Don't even think about it. For the rest of my life, you will always be my woman, Chi Wenyan."

His breath sprayed on her face, carrying a strong sense of male hormones and oppression.

Ji Wan's heart trembled, but he remained firm: "Chi Wenyan, don't be so self-indulgent. I have no feelings for you for a long time..."

"Nothing, right?" Chi Wenyan approached her, his nose almost touching hers. His voice was low and hoarse, with a hint of subtle grievance and accusation. "You can smile at him, why can't you be kind to me too? Hmm?"

"I'll love you." Ji Wan seemed to have heard a huge joke, and a hint of sneer appeared on the corner of his mouth. "Chi Wenyan, are you worthy of it?"

This sentence completely ignited all of Chi Wenyan's rationality.

He suddenly lowered his head and kissed the chattering little mouth hard.

"Hmm." Ji Wan was caught off guard, his eyes wide open.

This kiss was domineering and scorching, carrying a sense of punishment, yet also tinged with a hint of desperate longing. He pressed on, not giving her any chance to breathe, as if he wanted to rub her into his own flesh and blood.

Ji Wan initially resisted, then became powerless, and finally his mind went blank and he could hardly breathe.

The strong masculine scent filled her senses, making her weak all over and her heart beat like a drum.

After an unknown amount of time, Chi Wenyan finally let go of her and rested his forehead against hers, both of them breathing heavily. His eyes were as deep as the sea, surging with complex emotions, and his voice was hoarse.

"Wanwan, don't leave me, don't push me away again."

Ji Wan was so dizzy from his kiss that her lips were red and swollen, her eyes were blurry, her mind was in a mess and she couldn't think at all.

She pushed him away, staggered back a step, and looking at the red bloodshot in his eyes and the almost humble pleading, her heart ached inexplicably.
