Chapter 531 Contact Information

Chapter 531 Contact Information

Old Li was silent for a few seconds on the other end of the phone, obviously shocked by Su's mother's tone and request.

"Mrs. Su, what exactly are you going to do? This..." Old Li's voice was full of confusion and vigilance.

"Don't ask! Please! Tell me quickly! It will be too late if you delay any longer!" Mother Su was so anxious that she was about to collapse, her heart beating as if it was about to burst out of her chest.

Su Jiujiu approached Su's mother step by step. Her eyes were like poisoned knives, staring at the mobile phone in Su's mother's hand.

"Are you contacting Ji Wan?!" Su Jiujiu's voice was as cold as ice, and every word she said carried a strong sense of oppression.

Mother Su's back stiffened instantly, and cold sweat trickled down her forehead. She knew she couldn't let Su Jiujiu discover her intentions.

"I...I didn't!" Mother Su tried to deny it, but her voice couldn't stop trembling. "I was just calling Lao Li to ask about your father's condition."

"Ask my dad?!" Su Jiujiu sneered, suddenly reaching out and snatching Su's mother's phone. Her eyes fell on the call log, which clearly showed the name "Lao Li".

Su Jiujiu's eyes instantly became more sinister. She stared at Su's mother, and the distorted expression on her face made Su's mother's heart stop.

"You lied to me?" Su Jiujiu's voice was almost squeezed out from between her teeth, with a creepy calmness, "Do you want to tell Ji Wan? Do you want to help her?!"

Mother Su felt cold all over, her lies ruthlessly exposed. She looked at Su Jiujiu's murderous eyes and suddenly felt a suffocating fear.

"Jiujiu, Mom just, Mom just doesn't want you to do anything stupid! This is illegal! You will ruin yourself!" Su's mother rushed forward and tried to grab Su Jiujiu's hand, but she shook it away.

"Is it illegal?!" Su Jiujiu yelled hysterically. She threw her phone hard to the ground, and the screen instantly shattered into a spider web shape.

"I've already been living in hell! So what if I broke the law?! So what if I was ruined?! I just want her to die! I want her to be worse off than me! I want her to know the consequences of offending me!"

Her eyes were bloodshot, veins bulged on her forehead, and she exuded an aura of utter madness. She bent down and picked up a broken piece of porcelain bowl from the ground. The sharp edge gleamed coldly in the moonlight.

"No one can stop me! Whoever tries to stop me will be buried with me!" Su Jiujiu's voice was filled with a chilling madness. She held the fragments against her neck, her eyes flashing with a determined death intent.

"Jiujiu!" Su's mother screamed heartbreakingly, her face as pale as paper. She had never seen her daughter so desperate and crazy.

"Put it down! Jiujiu! Put it down now!" Mother Su's voice trembled as she stretched out her hand to grab the fragments, but she did not dare to act rashly for fear of upsetting her daughter.

"I'm warning you, Mom." Su Jiujiu's voice was eerily calm, but beneath that calmness lay a volcano about to erupt. "If you dare to stop me even one more time, I'll die in front of you!"

She stared at Su's mother intently, with a madness that made her want to perish along with her.

Mother Su looked at the growing red mark on her daughter's neck, tears welling up in her eyes. She knew Su Jiujiu was serious. She would really do this.

She collapsed to the ground, looking in despair at her daughter, consumed by hatred. What should she do? How could she save her Jiujiu? How could she prevent this impending tragedy?

The days between Ji Wan and Chi Wenyan were like those soaked in honey.

In the early morning, the sun shone through the gaps in the curtains and fell on them as they hugged each other tightly. Chi Wenyan always woke up earlier than her, and his slender fingers gently brushed the loose hair on her forehead.

He whispered in her ear: "Good morning, my Mrs. Ji."

Ji Wan rubbed against his arms, still sleepy, but the corners of her mouth couldn't help but rise.

In the company, they are inseparable.

At lunch time, Chi Wenyan would always appear at her office door on time, bringing her favorite meals, or holding her hand and going to the staff cafeteria together.

His colleagues watched with envy, their eyes filled with blessings. Ji Wan felt Chi Wenyan's meticulous care, and his heart was filled with an unprecedented sense of satisfaction.

She was so immersed in this peaceful happiness that she had no idea that a shadow in the distance was quietly approaching.

Until that day, Chi Wenyan's phone rang. After he answered it, his brows slightly frowned. Seeing this, Ji Wan asked softly, "What's wrong?"

Chi Wenyan put down his phone and sighed: "There is a cooperation project outside the province, and I must go there. The client specifically asked me to go there in person. It will probably take a few days."

A trace of reluctance flashed through Ji Wan's heart, but she immediately nodded in understanding: "Work is important. When are you leaving?"

"The flight is tomorrow morning." Chi Wenyan came over, hugged her in his arms, and rested his chin on the top of her head. "I can't bear to leave you."

"I can't bear to leave you either." Ji Wan put her arms around his waist, her voice a little muffled.

The next morning, Ji Wan took a special leave of absence and personally escorted Chi Wenyan to the airport. The atmosphere in the waiting hall was filled with a faint melancholy of parting. Chi Wenyan held her hand, his fingertips caressing her palm, his eyes filled with longing. "Wait for me to come back," he whispered, then leaned over and placed a long, gentle kiss on her lips.

"Okay." Ji Wan nodded, his eyes feeling a little hot.

It was not until Chi Wenyan's figure completely disappeared at the security checkpoint that Ji Wan slowly withdrew his gaze.

She took a deep breath, trying to suppress the feeling of emptiness in her chest. Without Chi Wenyan by her side, she felt like something was missing. She took a taxi back to the company, ready to get back to work to alleviate the feeling of loss.

The taxi stopped in front of the company building. Ji Wan opened the door and was about to take a step when he suddenly stopped.

Her gaze, as if fixed by an invisible force, fell directly on the company's entrance.

There, a familiar yet disgusting figure was standing at the steps of the company entrance with his back to her.

The man was wearing a well-tailored black suit, with long hair draped over his shoulders and a straight body, but he exuded an uncomfortable and cold aura.

Su Jiujiu!

Ji Wan's heart suddenly sank, and a chill rushed from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. Why was she here?

Shouldn't she...

Ji Wan's thoughts were instantly filled with astonishment and vigilance. Su Jiujiu slowly turned around, her once beautiful face now distorted in a creepy way.

Her eyes were fixed on Ji Wan. There was no warmth in her eyes, only extreme resentment and madness, as if she wanted to eat Ji Wan alive.

"Ji Wan." Su Jiujiu's voice, like a knife tempered with ice, carried a chilling hatred that clearly pierced Ji Wan's eardrums. A strange arc curved up the corner of her mouth, a smile uglier than crying.
