Chapter 590 Paid Off

Chapter 590 Paid Off

"Don't contact me again in the future."

A lot of money was given, several million.

If she wants money, she can give it to her, but for other things, she is afraid that she is incapable of doing it.

Her words were like a basin of ice water, chilling Sun Zhou from head to toe.

He looked at her resolute profile, all his resentment and calculations stuck in his chest.

In the end, he could only awkwardly push open the car door and get out.

Ji Wan didn't stop for a moment. He stepped on the accelerator and the black car sped away in an instant.

Sun Zhou stood there, watching the taillights of the car disappear around the corner. The weak and pale expression on his face slowly faded away, replaced by a sinister and determined look.

In the speeding car, Ji Wan pounded the steering wheel hard.

Li Wen's words and Sun Zhou's appearance were like two invisible nets that trapped her tightly.

Sun Zhou's words, like a curse, circled wildly in her mind and could not be shaken off.

The next day.

The black car drove into the underground garage. Ji Wan turned off the engine but did not get out immediately.

She leaned back in her chair, closed her eyes, her mind a mess.

Sun Zhou's pretendingly affectionate face and Li Wen's heart-piercing words appeared in front of him alternately.

She scratched her hair irritably, but finally opened the car door and walked towards the elevator.

The elevator door opened, and Ji Wan dragged his tired body out. Turning around the corridor, he saw the figure leaning against his door.

It’s Sun Zhou.

He was still wearing the washed-out shirt, his figure was thin, his face was as pale as a piece of paper, and his whole body exuded a sense of sickly fragility.

Ji Wan's steps suddenly stopped, and his face instantly darkened.

"Why are you here?" Her voice was so cold that ice chips could fall out.

When Sun Zhou saw her, an almost paranoid light flashed in his eyes. He held on to the wall and staggered to his feet, his voice hoarse and weak.

"Ah Wan... I, I was worried about you, so I took a taxi and followed you here."

track?

The disgust in Ji Wan's heart almost burst out of his chest.

With a cold face, she took out the key and walked straight to the door, completely ignoring him.

"Awan!"

Sun Zhou suddenly stepped forward and stood in front of her.

The smell of hospital disinfectant mixed with a man's sweat wafted over. Ji Wan frowned in disgust and took a half step back to create some distance.

"Get out of the way."

"I won't let you!" Sun Zhou's emotions suddenly became agitated. He stared at Ji Wan intently, his eyes reddening. "I know you hate me and blame me, but my feelings for you have never changed!"

Ji Wan was so angry that she laughed at his sudden display of affection.

"Sun Zhou, do you think everyone is as stupid as you?"

"I'm not acting!" Sun Zhou's voice rose, with a hint of desperate madness, "Awan, I love you! I have always loved you!"

Those three words were like a poisoned hidden weapon, shooting towards him unexpectedly.

Ji Wan froze.

She was not moved, but was seized by a huge sense of absurdity and disgust.

Seeing that she did not refute immediately, Sun Zhou thought his words had worked. He took a step forward and tried to grab Ji Wan's hand, his voice full of temptation.

"Ah Wan, can you give me a chance to make it up to you for what happened back then? Let's start over. I will treat you and Nian Nian well and love her like my own daughter..."

"Shut up!"

Ji Wan suddenly shouted and shook his hand to avoid his touch.

"You are not worthy to mention my daughter's name!"

Her eyes were as sharp as a knife, as if she wanted to completely tear apart the hypocritical mask of the man in front of her.

"Sun Zhou, listen carefully."

Ji Wan spoke each word clearly, his voice was not loud, but it carried a great weight.

"I went to pick you up today only because you saved my daughter. I'm repaying that favor. From now on, we owe each other nothing."

"As for your love?" She curled her lips and revealed a sneer of extreme sarcasm. "Save it for yourself to burn on paper. I find it dirty."

After saying that, she no longer looked at Sun Zhou's surprised and embarrassed face. She pushed him aside, opened the door quickly, and slipped into the house.

"Bang!"

The security door was slammed shut, isolating everything.

Ji Wan locked the door and leaned against the cold door panel, his chest heaving violently.

She closed her eyes, her mind filled with Sun Zhou's haunting face and that morbid "I love you".

This person was no longer the boy she remembered.

He is just a madman.

A complete madman who will do anything to achieve his goals!

Outside the door.

The astonishment and embarrassment on Sun Zhou's face were all twisted into resentment and hideousness the moment the door was slammed shut.

The words "Keep it for burning paper for yourself, I think it's dirty" were like a poisoned knife, stabbing into his heart and shattering his last disguise and dignity!

"Bitch!"

He growled and punched the cold wall, instantly scraping the back of his hand and oozing blood.

The pain made the madness in his eyes even more intense.

He stared at the closed door intently, his chest heaving violently. It felt like a ball of red-hot charcoal was blocking his lungs, burning his internal organs so much that they ached.

Fuck affection!

Damn compensation!

Ji Wan is such an ungrateful woman. She doesn't even know how to appreciate favors!

Sun Zhou took out his cell phone, his fingers turned white from pinching it so hard, he picked out a number and dialed it.

The phone rang several times before it was connected, and Zhao Xiyue's lazy voice came from the other end.

"What? Did you succeed in your confession?"

"Success!" Sun Zhou lowered his voice, his voice filled with uncontrollable rage, "That bitch, she kicked me out like garbage!"

Zhao Xiyue chuckled on the other end.

"I've said it before, your heart-wrenching drama is outdated. Women nowadays don't buy it. They only care about money and power."

"I don't want to hear your bullshit!" Sun Zhou's patience was completely exhausted. He paced back and forth in frustration, his voice harsh, "I've had enough! Zhao Xiyue, when are we going to start?!"

"What's the rush?" Zhao Xiyue's tone remained unhurried. "You have to eat one bite at a time and walk one step at a time. How can you accomplish anything great if you're so impatient?"

"I can't wait any longer!" Sun Zhou growled, "If we wait any longer, that bastard Chi Wenyan will be back! By then, it will be too late!"

When he thought of Ji Wan's disgusted face just now, he wanted to rush in immediately, tear her pretty face into pieces, and make her kneel at his feet and beg for mercy!

"Sun Zhou."

Zhao Xiyue's voice turned cold.

"You'd better stay calm and don't act recklessly. If you dare to ruin my business, do you believe I will make sure you can't even donate bone marrow?"

This sentence hit Sun Zhou's vital point accurately.

The muscles on his face twitched, his breathing stagnated, and the madness in his eyes was instantly extinguished by fear.

He clenched his fists, his nails digging deep into his palms.
