Chapter 601 Going to Sea
“Drip…drip…”
The sound became slower and softer.
The person on the bed had a pale face and the purple color around his lips became darker.
Sudden!
The alarm sounded sharply, piercing the silence in the room!
The curve representing the heartbeat turned into a glaring straight line!
"No!"
Sun Zhou let out a shrill roar, rushed to the bedside, and pushed away the doctor who was preparing to give the injection.
He looked at Ji Wan lying soundlessly on the bed, and at the straight line representing death. The whole world was falling apart before his eyes.
"Wanwan! Wanwan, you are not allowed to die! I command you! Wake up!"
He shook her body like crazy, but all he got in return was cold, dead silence.
"Electric shock! Use electric shock!" The doctor was pushed to the ground by him, but he was still shouting at the top of his lungs, "Quick!"
The bodyguard scrambled to get the defibrillator.
Sun Zhou seemed to be awakened by these words.
He suddenly let go of Ji Wan and took two steps back. The madness and despair in his eyes intertwined into a terrifying chaos.
Go to the hospital? Go to Chi Wenyan's territory...
Or just watch her turn into a cold corpse here...
“Ah ...
Sun Zhou held his head and roared like a trapped beast.
Finally, his red eyes were fixed on the doctor's face. The hatred and murderous intent in his eyes made the doctor feel like he was falling into an icy cave.
"Prepare the speedboat!"
He gritted his teeth, and every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth.
"Go to the city center hospital! As fast as possible!"
He paused, then walked up to the doctor step by step, his voice cold and without any warmth.
"Listen, if anything happens to her..."
"Not only will I chop you into pieces and feed you to the fish, I will also make your family, your friends, and everyone related to you be buried with her!"
"Chi Wenyan..." Sun Zhou turned his head to look at the dark night outside the window, a twisted sneer appearing at the corner of his mouth.
"You want to find her? Dream on!"
The huge roar of the propeller came from far away, tearing the silence above the island.
"Quick! Carry the person out!"
The doctor, frightened by Sun Zhou's threat, crawled to his feet and directed the bodyguards to move Ji Wan steadily onto the stretcher.
Continuous cardiopulmonary resuscitation cannot be stopped and adrenaline has been injected.
But the glaring straight line still did not show any ups and downs.
Ji Wan's body was terribly cold, like a doll that had all its vitality drained away.
Sun Zhou followed beside the stretcher, taking every step very heavily, his eyes bloodshot as he stared at Ji Wan's pale face.
His chest heaved violently, suppressing the violence that was about to burst out.
A group of people rushed out of the villa, and the sea breeze carrying a salty and fishy smell blew in their faces.
A speedboat had already docked at the private pier, its engine emitting an anxious roar.
"Get on board!"
The bodyguard secured the stretcher in the middle of the speedboat, and the doctor knelt beside it, continuing to press with sweat all over his forehead.
Sun Zhou jumped onto the boat, and the speedboat was like an arrow shot from a bow, cutting a pale wave on the dark sea and moving at full speed towards the direction of the helicopter.
The wind and waves hit the hull, and the cold sea water splashed on Sun Zhou's face, but he was unaware.
In his world, there was only the doctor's heavy breathing and the despairing silence on Ji Wan's body.
"Faster!" he roared at the driver.
"It's already the highest speed, Mr. Sun!"
"There's... there's a heartbeat!" the doctor shouted weakly, his voice filled with tears.
Sun Zhou's tense body didn't relax at all. He looked at the fragile curve on the monitor that seemed to disappear at any time, his eyes so sinister that tears could drip out of them.
He won the first step.
She used her life to gamble with the god of death.
But the next person he has to face is Chi Wenyan.
After getting off the ship, they took a helicopter.
Because of this, very quickly.
…
The helipad on the rooftop of the City Center Hospital.
Before the helicopter landed, a group of doctors and nurses in white coats were already waiting there, pushing an emergency bed.
The hatch slid open, and a murderous aura hit us in the face.
"What's the patient's condition?" the chief physician asked anxiously.
"He suffered cardiac arrest, the cause is unknown! CPR and electric shock were performed on the way!" The accompanying doctor reported incoherently.
Ji Wan was quickly transferred to the hospital bed and pushed into the emergency elevator as quickly as possible.
Sun Zhou followed closely behind. His tall figure carried a strong sense of oppression, and wherever he passed, the crowd automatically made way for him.
"Anyone who is outside please wait outside!" A nurse tried to stop him.
Sun Zhou glanced over with an icy look.
The nurse fell silent instantly, her hands froze in mid-air, and she felt a chill running from the soles of her feet to the top of her head.
"Bang!"
The door of the emergency room was closed and the red "Rescue in Progress" sign came on, stinging Sun Zhou's eyes.
Time passes by every second.
Sun Zhou just stood at the door, like an emotionless sculpture, with the dampness and coldness of the sea still on his body.
A few hours later.
The door of the emergency room finally opened.
A middle-aged doctor took off his mask and walked out with a tired face.
“Who are the patient’s family members?”
Sun Zhou took a step forward, and his powerful aura made the doctor subconsciously take half a step back.
"How is she?"
It's not a question, it's an order.
"His life has been saved for now." The doctor wiped the sweat from his forehead. "But the patient's condition is very serious. He is showing signs of multiple organ failure. He has been transferred to the ICU. The next 48 hours will be critical."
Sun Zhou didn't ask another question. He walked straight past the doctor and headed towards the ICU.
Through the thick glass wall, he saw Ji Wan lying inside.
Her body was full of various tubes, she had a ventilator on her face, and she was surrounded by countless sophisticated instruments, with vital data jumping on the screen.
She is alive.
Yet it is so fragile, so fragile that it will disappear in the next second.
A nurse came over and gently reminded: "Sir, you can't stay here for long, please..."
Sun Zhou slowly turned his head.
That look was not one of anger, nor of sadness, but of a bottomless, twisted possession.
The nurse's words got stuck in her throat and she couldn't utter any more.
Sun Zhou's gaze fell back on Ji Wan, and a cold arc appeared at the corner of his mouth.
Chi Wenyan.
So what if you turned the whole city upside down?
Now, she is in my hands.
Life or death, it's all up to me.
Chi Group, top floor president's office.
The ashtray was so full of cigarette butts that it was almost bursting with cigarette butts.
Chi Wenyan's eyes were bloodshot as he stared at the phone screen.
He ripped his tie off in annoyance, his knuckles turning white from pinching so hard, and veins popping out on the back of his hands.
At this moment, the landline phone on the desk rang suddenly, and the sharp ringtone broke the oppressive silence.
Chi Wenyan frowned and picked up the phone impatiently.
