Chapter 607 Knocked Out
Chi Wenyan was still searching the city thoroughly. How could he have imagined that she was already at sea!
Boundless fear and powerlessness came over him again. A tear slid down the corner of Ji Wan's eye, and his consciousness was swallowed by darkness again.
…
When she woke up again, there was a soft and comfortable big bed under her.
The surrounding environment is no longer a bumpy train carriage or a cold ship cabin.
This is a luxuriously decorated bedroom. Outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows is the clear blue sky and the endless ocean.
The sound of waves hitting the beach came regularly, like a hypnotic melody.
Is this an island?
Ji Wan sat up suddenly, gasping for air as the sharp pain in the back of her neck made her scramble to the floor-to-ceiling window, ignoring the pain.
The windows were locked from the outside!
She rushed to the door again and turned the doorknob frantically, but the door didn't budge!
"Open the door! Sun Zhou! Let me out!"
She banged on the door with all her might, but her voice was hoarse and weak due to her weakness.
“Let me out!!”
“Click.”
The sound of the door lock turning was heard.
Ji Wan immediately took two steps back and stared at the door vigilantly.
The door was pushed open and Sun Zhou walked in with a tray and a sickeningly gentle smile on his face.
"Wanwan, are you awake? Are you hungry? I made you your favorite seafood porridge."
He seemed to be completely oblivious to Ji Wan's anger and fear. He placed the plate on the table and said in a doting tone:
"Look, it's so nice here. Without Chi Wenyan, without those troubles, there are only the two of us."
He opened his arms as if embracing the whole world, with a satisfied and obsessed smile on his face.
"From today on, this is our new home."
"New home?" Ji Wan stared at Sun Zhou's intoxicated face, as if he had heard the most ridiculous joke in the world.
She laughed out loud, her laughter filled with sharp sarcasm and bone-chilling coldness, "Sun Zhou, you're not crazy, you're a pervert!"
Her gaze was like a poisoned knife, slicing at him inch by inch. "This is hell! It's a cage built for me! I tell you, even if I die here and turn into bones, I won't let you succeed!"
"Shh..." Sun Zhou put his index finger to his lips. He was not moved by her scolding at all. Instead, he showed a trace of pity. "Don't say such unlucky words, Wanwan. We will be together for a long, long time. You will slowly fall in love with this place."
He pushed the bowl of seafood porridge in front of her. The warm aroma wafted out, but it only made Ji Wan feel nauseous.
"Eat something first, you've lost weight." His tone was so gentle that it was creepy.
Ji Wan's gaze passed him and fixed on a half-human-high blue and white porcelain vase not far away.
That was the only thing of weight she could touch!
An idea raced through her mind! Kill him! Or, knock him out! And then escape!
She suppressed the hatred in her eyes, lowered her eyelids, and said in a trembling voice: "I...my hands and feet are weak, please help me over."
A hint of joy flashed in Sun Zhou's eyes, thinking that she had finally given in.
"Okay, okay, I'll help you." He walked forward without any precautions and reached out to hold Ji Wan's arm.
Now is the time!
The second before Sun Zhou's hand touched her, Ji Wan used all her strength to rush to the side! Her target was not the table, but the blue and white porcelain vase!
The cold bottle in her hand, the heavy texture gave her a sense of illusory courage!
"Go to hell!" She roared, raised the porcelain bottle with both hands, and used all her strength to smash it hard on Sun Zhou's head!
The smile on Sun Zhou's face froze instantly, replaced by a sinister look of betrayal!
He reacted extremely quickly, suddenly turning sideways and reaching out to precisely grab Ji Wan's wrist!
"Crack!" A sharp pain came from his wrist, and Ji Wan let go in pain.
“Bang—!”
The blue and white porcelain vase fell heavily onto the polished marble floor, instantly shattering into pieces! The sharp cracking sound pierced the eardrums and hurt!
"Wanwan, you disappoint me so much." Sun Zhou's voice was as cold as ice. He gripped Ji Wan's wrist with increasing force, almost crushing her bones. "I gave you a chance, but you didn't want it."
The severe pain made Ji Wan's face turn pale instantly, and cold sweat dripped down, but she still gritted her teeth and stared at him with poisonous eyes.
"Someone come here!" Sun Zhou shouted coldly at the door.
The door opened and a middle-aged maid in uniform and expressionless walked in. She bowed slightly to Sun Zhou without even looking at Ji Wan.
"Tie her up." Sun Zhou's voice was cold, as if he was giving orders for a very ordinary matter.
"No! Let me go! Sun Zhou, you beast!" Ji Wan struggled violently, kicking him with his feet and grabbing him with his other hand.
But her resistance seemed so pale and powerless in front of the strong Sun Zhou and the extremely powerful maid.
Her hands were tied behind her back, and the maid took out a silk ribbon that had been prepared long ago and tied her wrists tightly in circles! The cold silk ribbon cut into her skin, bringing a humiliating and desperate feeling of bondage.
"Sun Zhou! You will get your retribution! Chi Wenyan will not let you go!" Ji Wan was pushed and fell on the edge of the bed. She shouted at the top of her lungs.
Sun Zhou squatted down, his eyes level with hers. He reached out his hand and gently wiped the cold sweat from her forehead with his fingertips. The gentle smile appeared on his face again, but there was a bit of morbid paranoia in this smile.
"Shh, don't mention that person's name, I will be unhappy." He said softly, "Look, it's so good now. If you behave yourself, you won't get hurt. Let's start over and start with drinking porridge, okay?"
He picked up the bowl of porridge, scooped up a spoonful with a spoon, blew on it, and handed it to Ji Wan's lips.
Ji Wan closed his mouth tightly and turned his head to the side, his eyes filled with hatred and indomitable will.
Sun Zhou's patience seemed to be exhausted. He pinched Ji Wan's chin and forced her face to turn around. His voice was so gloomy that water could drip out of it: "I feed you, and you must eat."
In the dead silent room, the only sound was Ji Wan's heavy breathing.
The sticky rice porridge dripped down the hair, splashing small, dirty marks on the smooth floor.
The trembling in his body gradually subsided, and the chill caused by fear was completely dispelled by the overwhelming hatred burning in his heart. Ji Wan slowly raised his hand and wiped away the rice grains stuck to his eyelashes. His movements were slow and steady, without a trace of panic.
She stood up and walked to the only floor-length mirror in the room.
The person in the mirror had messy hair stuck to her cheeks and neck. The white rice porridge and dark hair were tangled together and slid down her face. Her high-end custom-made dress was covered in filth, and she looked so disheveled that she looked like a joke.
