Chapter 609 Lurking

Chapter 609 Lurking

It turned out to be him.

The venomous snake with a gentle skin lurking beside her!

How dare he! How dare he touch his Ji Wan!

The temperature in the office suddenly dropped to freezing point.

Doctor Zhang looked at the man in front of him in horror. The scarlet in his eyes faded and turned into a bottomless ink-black color, which was filled with a thick and insoluble murderous intent.

Chi Wenyan slowly turned around and walked out without saying another word.

Every step feels like a stairway to hell.

Sun Zhou, you'd better pray that Wanwan is safe and sound.

Otherwise, I, Chi Wenyan, will grind your bones to dust and scatter your ashes, and let you and your entire Sun family be buried with you for your stupidity!

Chi Wenyan rushed out of the hospital building, a murderous aura etched on his body, and got back into the car. He didn't start the car immediately, but took out his cell phone. His fingertips trembled slightly with extreme anger, but his dialing movement was terrifyingly steady.

The call was connected almost instantly.

"It's me." His voice seemed to come from the depths of hell, cold and eerie, without a trace of human emotion. "Find out Sun Zhou's current location for me. Use all your strength. I want to know where he is within five minutes."

Without giving the other party a chance to respond, he hung up the phone and threw the phone on the passenger seat.

The air in the car was so oppressive that it almost solidified. Chi Wenyan closed his eyes, his mind filled with the doctor's words, "Miss Ji did not resist."

Why didn't she resist? What on earth did Sun Zhou do to her?

When he thought that Ji Wan might be in danger, or even be deceived and hurt by that hypocrite, Chi Wen-yan's heart felt like it was being tightly grasped by an invisible big hand, and the pain was so severe that he could hardly breathe.

The phone screen lit up and an address message popped up.

——On the outskirts of the city, Qingyuan Villa.

Chi Wenyan's eyes snapped open, and murderous intent blazed from those bottomless, dark pupils. He slammed the accelerator, the engine roaring with resignation. The car shot off like a black arrow, tearing through the night as it sped towards that address!

Qingyuan Villa.

The living room was brightly lit, and the expensive crystal chandelier cast a warm glow, but it couldn't dispel the eerie atmosphere in the air.

Ji Wan curled up in a corner of the sofa, her eyelids growing heavier and heavier, and a sense of weakness washed over her limbs. She looked at Sun Zhou, who was gracefully shaking his red wine glass on the sofa across from her, and her brows furrowed tightly.

"Sun Zhou, I'm very tired. When will you take me back?" Her voice was slightly weak.

Sun Zhou put down his wine glass, walked slowly to her side and sat down, his face still with that gentle smile: "Wanwan, you are not well yet, just stay here with peace of mind. This place is more suitable for you to recuperate than the Chi family."

"I don't need it!" Ji Wan tried to stand up by supporting himself on the sofa, but he felt dizzy and fell back down.

She finally realized something was wrong. The glass of water she drank after leaving the hospital...

"What did you put in the water?" Ji Wan's eyes instantly became alert and cold.

Sun Zhou's smile remained unchanged, but his eyes had a hint of paranoid madness: "It's just something so you can have a good rest. Wanwan, don't be afraid, I'm helping you. People like Chi Wenyan are not worthy of you at all. Only I can bring you happiness."

"You're crazy!" Ji Wan was shocked and angry.

"I'm crazy," Sun Zhou whispered, reaching out to touch her face, "I've been crazy about you since I first saw you in college..."

"Bang--!"

With a deafening bang, the villa's heavy wooden door was unexpectedly smashed open by a brute force from the outside! Amidst the flying wood chips, a tall and straight figure, against the light, stepped in with the aura of a hellish Asura.

Behind him, more than a dozen black-clad bodyguards rushed in like a tide and instantly took control of the entire living room!

Chi Wenyan's gaze pierced through everything like a sharp sword, landing precisely on the sofa. When he saw Ji Wan's pale, frail face, and Sun Zhou's hand reaching out to her, the temperature around him suddenly dropped to freezing.

"Take your dirty hands off me!"

The voice was silent, but it carried a thunderous sense of oppression. Every word was like a poisoned ice knife, stabbing Sun Zhou fiercely.

Sun Zhou froze in mid-air. He looked at Chi Wenyan who suddenly appeared in disbelief, his face instantly turning pale: "Chi Wenyan? How did you find this place!"

Chi Wenyan ignored his shouting, all his attention was on Ji Wan. He walked over step by step, and every step seemed to step on Sun Zhou's heart.

"Wen Yan..." When Ji Wan saw him, his tense nerves finally relaxed, his eyes became hot, and his voice became tearful.

The word "Wen Yan" completely ignited all of Chi Wen Yan's anger.

"I said, take your dirty hands away!" He suddenly stretched out his hand and grabbed Sun Zhou's outstretched wrist. There was a crisp "crack" sound, and the sound of broken bones could be clearly heard in the silent living room!

"Ah--!" Sun Zhou let out a shrill scream, his whole face distorted with pain.

Chi Wenyan didn't even glance at him, just casually tossed him aside like trash. Sun Zhou awkwardly knocked over the coffee table, spilling glass shards and red wine all over the floor.

"Who do you think you are? Wanwan is my fiancée!" Sun Zhou endured the severe pain and shouted hysterically.

Chi Wenyan stopped in front of the sofa. He looked down at Sun Zhou lying on the ground with a look of extreme contempt and coldness in his eyes. "Fiancée? Are you worthy of her?"

He didn't waste any more time, turning around and squatting in front of Ji Wan. The murderous intent in his eyes instantly turned into an overwhelming sense of heartache and self-blame. He stretched out his trembling hand and gently stroked her cheek: "Wan Wan, don't be afraid, I'm here."

Ji Wan couldn't hold back her tears any longer and they slid down her cheeks.

Chi Wenyan carefully lifted her up and carried her sideways, his movements as gentle as if she were handling a rare treasure. Ji Wan leaned weakly against his solid chest, breathing in the familiar, reassuring scent, her consciousness gradually fading.

Holding the person in his arms, Chi Wenyan turned around and prepared to leave this dirty place.

"Chi Wenyan! You can't take her away!" Sun Zhou struggled to get up from the ground, looking like a madman, "You don't love her at all! You will only hurt her! Give her back to me!"

Chi Wenyan paused, and he slowly turned his head. His dark eyes were filled with a madness that wanted to destroy everything. "Sun Zhou, this is the first time, and the last time."

"From today on, you'd better pray that you can disappear like a dead person. Otherwise, if you dare to appear in front of her again, I will not only grind your bones to dust, but I will also bury the entire Sun family with you!"

After he finished speaking, he did not stop, holding his lost treasure, surrounded by a group of bodyguards, he strode out of the mess.
