Chapter 61 What did you remember?
In less than half an hour, the number of people in the live broadcast room exceeded 30,000. Naturally, Ji Wan and the store owner had to put on a show. A classic drama began to unfold, in which they could no longer offer discounts and would lose money if they did.
"No! All of them are my family. How can I let them go back empty-handed?"
"But there were originally only over 200 spots available, and with the discounts, I'm under tremendous pressure."
"It's okay, even if I have to pay for it, I still want to provide benefits for my family!"
Ji Wan waved his hand and wanted to call Chi Wenyan to take control of the situation.
Chi Wenyan had already spoken, his clear voice mingled with a hint of smile: "Boss, you are generous."
This sound caused the barrage in the live broadcast room to pause for a moment, and the next second the barrage exploded, and the words "the sound is so nice" filled the entire live broadcast room.
Ji Wan struck while the iron was hot and quickly said, "The new guy from the control center is handsome and has a sweet voice. Our members can request a song for free!"
Chi Wenyan chuckled and shook his head, then moved his fingers and clicked the membership link.
The next second, all three hundred members were snapped up, as fast as a swarm of locusts.
Although the description was not quite appropriate, this was the only word that came to Ji Wan's mind at the moment.
A huge rocket shot straight up the entire screen of the live broadcast room. The huge rocket came up and exploded countless fireworks, dazzling the onlookers.
"I want to order a song!"
"Sure, whatever you want to hear."
"I want to listen to the fireworks fade away."
Ji Wan turned around and looked at Chi Wenyan, who was sitting with his arms folded, looking thoughtful.
Ji Wan was startled. Could it be that Chi Wenyan had never heard of this song? That couldn't be right. This song was considered a national song at that time.
"The sound of prosperity, escaping into the Buddhist monastery, has exhausted the world..." A clear and magnetic voice came faintly, like the humming of an immortal in the mountains who had not entered the mortal world.
There was no accompaniment, just a clear and cold voice, like a clear spring, which made the listeners feel very comfortable.
A song is neither long nor short. In this fast-paced live broadcast room, it is not easy to get the audience to finish listening to a song.
It was the first time that Ji Wan heard Chi Wenyan sing, and he couldn't help but be stunned for a moment.
Coming back to his senses, he quickly glanced at the number of people in the live broadcast room. It had increased instead of decreased. He really was worthy of being Master Chi. He never made any mistakes in anything he did.
After the song ended, the live broadcast room exploded again. Everyone wanted to listen to another song, but unfortunately the live broadcast time was up.
Ji Wan's voice had reached its limit, so he joined in the singing with everyone for a while, and finally promoted his own company before finally ending the live broadcast.
"Miss Ji, you have worked hard."
The owner stood up and handed the prepared milk tea to Ji Wan.
"You're welcome, owner."
Ji Wan smiled gently, took the milk tea, and first looked at Chi Wenyan who was sitting in the back.
Chi Wenyan was still sitting there. The owner was handing him a cup of milk tea. He took it but did not open it. He lowered his eyes and didn't know what he was thinking.
"The central control tonight is really powerful."
Ji Wan walked over and sat next to Chi Wenyan. A large shadow fell, covering Chi Wenyan.
"It's okay, after all, I don't have much experience."
"Oh? Didn't you say you were very experienced?"
"Yes, but I was the decision-maker and never participated."
Ji Wan covered his mouth with his hands, smiled, inserted the straw and took a sip.
"Nowadays, everyone is in the live streaming market. Many company chairmen are participating in live streaming. Why don't you try live streaming one day?"
Ji Wan really thought about this for Chi Wenyan. With his face, even if he didn't sell anything but sang some songs, he would still be very popular.
Or just enter the entertainment industry.
After thinking about it for a while, suddenly a pair of bony hands gently pinched her jaw angle and turned her head so that she was facing someone's eyes.
"Well, your suggestion is good. Don't suggest it next time."
"Okay, okay, but if you need image packaging, welcome to our company."
Chi Wenyan stared at her and suddenly wanted to laugh for some reason, but not the kind of laughter that was so funny, but the kind that was made to laugh by her quirky and cute side.
As he was speaking, Ji Wan's cell phone rang, and when he answered the call, he heard Xiao Sun's voice.
"Sister Ji, have you ordered takeout?"
"No, what's wrong?"
"Eh? Then whose takeout is this? But the station is marked with your seat and your name is two stars."
Hearing this name, Ji Wan's expression darkened.
"That's fine. Someone ordered it for me. I can't go back now, and it would be a shame to throw it away. If you don't mind, share it and have it."
"Can I?"
"Well, let's share it."
Xiao Sun got the order and thought it was great to get a free midnight snack. The food was quite large, with hamburgers, fried chicken and pizza. It was really a generous deal.
He invited his colleagues to come over for dinner, and everyone in the department cheered, urging Ji Wan to become the boss sooner rather than later and keep the company a clean place.
…
In a corner of a remote county town, there is a hardware store with a dusty signboard, as if it has traveled through the dust of time and stepped into a forgotten corner of the era.
The shop was dimly lit, with the few rays of sunlight filtering through the cracks in the dilapidated windows, casting a cacophony of light and shadow. Layers of rust piled up in the corners, like the marks left by the passage of time.
A handsome man sat in the corner, holding a book in his hand, exuding nobility and bookish air. He seemed out of place in the hardware store where all kinds of hardware tools were placed in a mess, some of which were covered with dust and looked dilapidated.
"Alin is coming to eat."
Ji Lin put down the book in his hand, raised his eyes, stood up and walked towards the source of the sound.
"Still reading. There's nothing interesting here. If you like reading, go to the new library in town. It's big and spacious there."
The woman smiled, revealing a row of big white teeth, and her plain face was full of warmth.
"Thank you, Auntie."
"You've been here for so long, please be polite to me. Today I'm steaming some big buns, each with a thin skin and a big filling. Come and try some."
Ji Lin nodded and sat at the table obediently to eat.
The woman wiped her hands, walked outside and looked out.
"Your uncle hasn't come back yet at this time. He must be too busy at the construction site and eating out."
Ji Lin raised his head and looked at the scenery outside the store. He could vaguely see the blue sea. It was beautiful and quiet, but there was always a sense of strangeness.
"How about it, did you think of anything today?"
The woman sat down and asked cautiously.
"I remember a little."
"If you remember anything, Auntie will write it down now."
Ji Lin took a bite of the bun and frowned.
"But it's not much. It's just bits and pieces that don't add up to anything."
The woman sighed, still feeling sorry for the child.
He only remembered that his name was Lin, he didn't know whether it was his surname or his given name. He was found unconscious by the sea by them, and out of pity for him, they took him home. Unfortunately, the child had a high fever, so he was sent to the local hospital, where they said his brain was damaged and he couldn't remember anything.
There's no point sending him to the police station. He doesn't remember anything, so we can only place him at their home for now.
