Chapter 636 Finale

Chapter 636 Finale

"Yaoyao!" Ji Wan tried to catch up like crazy, but his legs went weak and he collapsed to the ground.

"Wanwan!" Chi Wenyan picked her up and held her tightly in his arms like a princess. His jaw was clenched, his eyes were red, and his voice was hoarse but carried an unquestionable command, "Hold on! Our child needs us! Hold on!"

He held her in his arms and rushed to the ambulance as fast as he could.

The shrill sound of sirens cut through the sky, speeding all the way.

Outside the hospital's emergency room, every second felt like a century.

Ji Wan leaned against the wall in despair, staring at the closed door with empty eyes, muttering to himself: "Yaoyao, my Yaoyao, he will be fine, he will be fine..."

Chi Wenyan hugged her tightly, pressing her head against his chest. He could clearly feel the coldness and trembling of her body. His heart was also burning in the frying pan. But he couldn't fall down. He was the pillar of support for her and the children.

A police officer came over and reported in a low voice: "Boss Chi, Zhao Xiyue was confirmed dead on the scene."

Chi Wenyan's eyes didn't waver. He no longer cared about the woman's life or death. His entire attention was now on the two children in the emergency room.

Time passes by little by little.

The door of the emergency room finally opened.

A nurse came out holding Nian Nian. Tear marks were still on Nian Nian's face, but her breathing was steady, and she was just a little frightened. "Mr. Chi, Mrs. Chi, Miss Nian Nian is fine, just a little frightened. Just one night of observation will be enough."

Ji Wan moved his body, but still couldn't get away from Yaoyao's worry.

Chi Wenyan reached out and took Nian Nian. As soon as the little girl was in his arms, she pouted in grievance and her little hands tightly grasped his clothes.

Then, another door opened. The attending doctor took off his mask, his face showing a trace of fatigue, but revealing a reassuring smile.

"Mr. Chi, Mrs. Chi, you can rest assured."

Ji Wan suddenly raised his head, as if grabbing the last straw, and staggered over, "Doctor! My son... How is my son?!"

"The child is fine," the doctor's voice was clear and powerful. "He just fainted from a brief period of shock due to extreme fear and lack of oxygen. We've given him a comprehensive examination and found no physical injuries. He'll wake up soon."

fine……

Yaoyao is fine...

These two words, like the sound of nature, instantly broke Ji Wan's nerves, which were stretched to the limit. Her legs went limp, and she fell backwards.

"Wanwan!" Chi Wenyan quickly took her and Nian Nian into his arms. His tall body was shaking uncontrollably at this moment. He lowered his head and buried his face deeply in her hair. The hot tears finally burst out.

"It's okay, it's all over, our children are all fine..."

He repeated it over and over again, his voice hoarse, but filled with ecstasy and gratitude for surviving the disaster.

Ji Wan burst into tears in his arms, letting out all her fear, despair, and apprehension.

One year later.

Warm sunlight shines through the floor-to-ceiling windows and onto the soft wool carpet.

"Brother! Chase me!" Nian Nian, who can now walk steadily, is wearing a pink princess dress and running around on the carpet like a happy little butterfly, giggling.

"Slow down, sister Nian Nian!" Yaoyao followed behind her, protecting her carefully like a little adult, fearing that she would fall.

Ji Wan leaned on the sofa, holding a parenting book in her hand, her eyes gently following the figures of the two children, with a quiet and happy smile on her lips.

Chi Wenyan came from behind, gently put his arms around her waist, rested his chin on her shoulder, and watched this beautiful scene with her.

"What are you thinking about?" His low and magnetic voice brushed past her ears.

"I was thinking, life is so good now." Ji Wan turned her head and placed a soft kiss on his lips, "Wen Yan, thank you."

Thank you for not giving up on me.

Thank you for giving me a complete family.

Chi Wenyan tightened his arms, holding her in his embrace, his eyes deep and tender: "Silly girl, I should be the one thanking you. Thank you for staying with me. Thank you for giving birth to Yaoyao for me. Thank you for making us a family."

After experiencing the test of life and death, the misunderstandings between them have long since disappeared, and what remains is only the deep love and cherishment that is integrated into their bones and blood.

"Daddy! Mommy! Hug me!" Nian Nian and Yaoyao ran over, threw themselves into their arms, one on the left and one on the right, and acted coquettishly in a baby voice.

Chi Wenyan and Ji Wan smiled at each other and each picked up a child.

The sun is shining outside the window, the breeze is not dry, and the years are quiet and good.

The pain and nightmares of the past are now a thing of the past. From now on, what awaits them will be every tomorrow filled with sunshine and laughter.

A belated wedding was taking place on the lawn in the backyard.

There are no crowds of guests, only the closest family members and warm sunshine.

Ji Wan was dressed in a simple yet elegant white wedding gown. Her long hair was tied up, with a few strands of hair hanging on her cheeks, making her face, which had been lost and then found, even more gentle and moving. She walked step by step towards the man in a black suit, with a figure as straight as a pine tree.

Chi Wenyan's gaze could no longer be taken away from her from the moment she appeared. Deep love and cherishment of lost and regained surged in his eyes, and his Adam's apple rolled uncontrollably.

"Wanwan," he walked forward and held her hand, his voice trembling with excitement, "Today, you are the most beautiful bride in the world."

Ji Wan's eyes were slightly warm. She held his broad, warm hand and whispered, "This wedding is not too late. As long as it's you in the end, everything will be just right."

"Dad! Mom!"

Yaoyao, wearing a neat little suit, looked like a little gentleman, and walked over solemnly holding a velvet ring box.

Nian Nian was wearing the same mini wedding dress as Ji Wan. She looked like a little angel fallen into the mortal world. She followed her brother with her short legs, giggling.

Chi Wenyan knelt on one knee, took the ring from Yaoyao's hand, looked up at Ji Wan, the affection in his eyes almost overflowing.

"Ms. Ji Wan, I lost you, and we lost ourselves. Now, I want to spend the rest of my life making up for all my mistakes. Please, are you still willing to marry me, let me love you, and protect you and our children for the rest of our lives?"

Hot tears slid down Ji Wan's cheeks. She nodded vigorously, her voice choked but extremely clear: "I do! Chi Wenyan, I always do!"

He put the ring on her finger, stood up and held her tightly in his arms, as if he wanted to rub her into his own bones and blood.

"Wife, I love you."

"Hubby, I love you too."

Yaoyao and Nian Nian cheered and rushed over, hugging their thighs. Chi Wenyan laughed and bent down, picking up the two babies in each hand, while the other hand still held his bride tightly.

The sunlight shines through the gaps in the leaves, turning into bits of gold, gently enveloping this happy family.

Love is the only way home, and they finally returned home.
