Chapter 484 What are you going to do?
The light came from not far in front of her, where a slender figure was leaning against the wall, playing with a metal lighter in his hand.
The flame flickered, illuminating the face she least wanted to see at the moment.
"Zhao Xiyue?" Su Jiujiu's voice suddenly rose, so sharp that it almost pierced the eardrums. Every word was filled with thick horror. "It was you. You brought me here. What are you going to do?"
Zhao Xiyue slowly closed the lighter, and the light disappeared, leaving only the faint cold light from the screen of the mobile phone in her hand.
She walked closer step by step, her high heels making crisp "click, click, click" sounds on the concrete floor, and each click seemed to be stepping on Su Jiujiu's heart.
"What else can you do? Miss Su," Zhao Xiyue's voice was light, yet chilling, "where else do you think you can run to?"
Su Jiujiu moved backwards in panic, her back pressed against the cold wall, leaving her with nowhere to retreat.
"Zhao Xiyue, what on earth do you want to do? Let me go now! You are illegally detaining me. When I am free, I will not let you go. I promise, I will never let you go."
She roared fiercely but weakly, trying to intimidate the other party with threatening words.
"You?" Zhao Xiyue sneered, her laughter filled with contempt and disdain. "Su Jiujiu, are you still counting on yourself? Do you really think you can do it?"
She leaned over, and the cold light of her cell phone reflected on Su Jiujiu's pale face.
"You schemed against me and used me to hurt Wanwan and Niannian. Today, we're going to settle this account."
"I didn't, it was all a misunderstanding." Su Jiujiu defended herself anxiously, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably. "I was also possessed by a ghost at the time. Zhao Xiyue, didn't we work together before? For the sake of our past friendship, if you let me go, I promise to disappear immediately and never appear in front of you again."
"How dare you say that?" Zhao Xiyue's eyes suddenly turned fierce, as if she had heard a huge joke. "When you took advantage of my suspicion of Nian Nian and used me as a pawn, why didn't you think about the consequences today?"
Before she finished her words, Zhao Xiyue raised her hand and slapped Su Jiujiu hard in the face with a loud and crisp slap.
A burning pain exploded instantly, and Su Jiujiu was hit so hard that her head tilted to the side. Blood oozed from the corner of her mouth, and her ears were buzzing.
"ah--!"
She let out a shrill scream.
"This slap is for Wanwan. She is such a good woman, but you stabbed her in the back." Zhao Xiyue's voice was as cold as ice.
Without waiting for Su Jiujiu to react, another slap came over.
“Pah.”
"This slap is for Nian Nian. You almost hurt an innocent child."
Su Jiujiu was completely stunned, her face burning with humiliation and pain making her tremble all over.
"Crazy, you lunatic, Zhao Xiyue, if you let me go, you will regret it."
"Regret?" Zhao Xiyue sneered, picked up a thin, long object from the side, and weighed it in her hand. "The only thing I regret now is that I was blind and didn't see through you earlier. You are such a vicious woman."
She raised her phone, pointed the screen at Su Jiujiu's disheveled face, and pressed the record button.
"Su Jiujiu, look at the camera carefully and record your pitiful and hateful appearance right now." Zhao Xiyue's tone was terrifyingly calm. "I want Wanwan to see with her own eyes how a vicious woman like you pays for what you did."
"No, Zhao Xiyue, please, don't take pictures." Su Jiujiu was completely panicked. She shook her head desperately, trying to avoid the camera, but her hands and feet were tied and she couldn't move at all.
Zhao Xiyue turned a deaf ear to him, and the stick in her hand whipped Su Jiujiu's body again and again with the sound of wind.
"ah--!"
"Help!"
"Zhao Xiyue, I was wrong. I was really wrong."
The pain of torn flesh, along with Su Jiujiu's shrill screams and cries, echoed in the empty basement.
Zhao Xiyue had a blank expression on her face and cold eyes. Her hands moved without any pause. She used all her strength in every strike, as if she wanted to vent all the anger and regret that had been pent up in her heart.
After an unknown amount of time, Su Jiujiu's voice had become hoarse and only faint whimpers and sobs remained.
She curled up on the ground, her body covered with shocking red marks, looking extremely miserable.
Zhao Xiyue finally stopped, her breathing becoming slightly faster. She looked at Su Jiujiu's miserable state on camera, a cold smile forming at the corner of her mouth.
She finished recording, then opened Ji Wan's dialog box and sent the video without hesitation.
After doing all this, she squatted down, used the thing that had whipped Su Jiujiu, lifted her chin which was stained with tears and blood, and spoke in a low and clear voice.
"Su Jiujiu, this is just the beginning. Everything you did to Wanwan, I will make you pay it back a hundredfold or a thousandfold."
A “Sent Successfully” message pops up on the phone screen.
Zhao Xiyue stared at the words, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes, including the pleasure of revenge and a subtle expectation.
Wanwan, after seeing all this, will you forgive me even a little? For you, for Nian Nian, I'm willing to do anything.
When the phone vibrated, Ji Wan was sitting on the sofa, hugging his knees with his arms, looking out the window with empty eyes.
The screen lit up, and it was a video sent by Zhao Xiyue.
Her fingertips trembled slightly as she clicked on the file.
The shrill screams and the sound of flesh being hit instantly filled her ears. On the screen, Su Jiujiu's face, which once smiled sweetly, was now covered in blood, swollen and deformed, her eyes filled with extreme fear and pleading.
Zhao Xiyue, like a Shura from hell, had an expressionless face. The long object in his hand fell fiercely again and again, and each blow was accompanied by Su Jiujiu's shrill screams.
"No, Zhao Xiyue, please."
"I was wrong. I really was."
Ji Wan's stomach churned, and her face turned pale. Zhao Xiyue's eyes in the video were cold and unfamiliar, and the ruthlessness in them sent a chill through her heart.
This wasn't the Zhao Xiyue she knew. This wasn't the "price" she wanted.
She watched as Su Jiujiu was beaten and curled up on the ground, her body covered in red marks, barely breathing. Zhao Xiyue's final words, "This is just the beginning," sent a chill through her body.
Ji Wan abruptly turned off the video, her chest heaving violently, nearly vomiting. She grabbed her phone, her fingers white from the strain. Without hesitation, she clicked on Zhao Xiyue's profile picture and pressed the cold "Delete Contact" option to confirm.
From then on, the bridge is the bridge and the road is the road.
