Chapter 58 Amusement Park Because this is my husband.
"Tuantuan's parents have never taken Tuantuan to an amusement park," Liang Minghe muttered to himself. He pulled out a brightly colored, gaudy basin from somewhere, put the cat inside, and lifted the basin up, manually mimicking a roller coaster ride with a thumping sound.
Most of the time, Tuantuan is very cooperative with Liang Minghe, and will not run away or make a fuss no matter what the other party does. For example, right now, even though she is so bored with this unknown activity that she is yawning all the time, she will still meow loudly when she needs emotional support.
Zhou Jinqin was a little envious and muttered, "I seriously suspect you're actually a rat, otherwise how do you explain Tuantuan's exclusive love for you?"
Hearing this, Liang Minghe chuckled, bent down and placed Tuantuan on the running robot vacuum cleaner, then grabbed some sunscreen from the vanity table, squeezed some out and applied it to Zhou Jinqin's fair nape, asking her with a smile, "Jealous?"
His technique wasn't exactly delicate; it was like a restless teasing in the night, igniting a fire wherever it went.
Zhou Jinqin shrank back and muttered under her breath, "I'm just jealous."
“Oh, like how I was jealous of Jia Yang,” Liang Minghe said meaningfully.
Zhou Jinqin retorted, "It doesn't look like it at all. Don't keep dragging unrelated people into this."
“That’s true, this unrelated person isn’t cute at all like Tuantuan.” Liang Ming curled his lips and pulled her to sit sideways on his lap. His massage movements became more delicate, and the cream was quickly spread and absorbed.
He lowered his head and sniffed the fragrance there. Because he was so close, the tip of his upturned nose occasionally touched the warm skin of his neck, making him feel unbearably itchy.
Zhou Jinqin squirmed uncomfortably in his arms, blushing as she reminded him not to do anything reckless: "We're leaving soon, so behave yourself."
Liang Minghe laughed and released the woman in his arms, stood up and raised an eyebrow at her: "Wife, I think I behaved well enough last night, what do you think?"
Nothing happened between the two last night, because Liang Minghe kindly didn't want to exhaust her energy beforehand, considering that today's activities would be physically demanding.
Zhou Jinqin pretended not to hear and continued applying sunscreen, but her bright red ear tips already spoke for her.
Liang Ming smiled and brought up the previous topic again: "You mentioned rats earlier. I did raise rats when I was a child. Do you remember the picture of my mother that I showed you before?"
Zhou Jinqin nodded and said she remembered.
He said, "That day, my family of three was taking a walk in the square when we came across a ring toss game. I won a hamster, and my mom was very happy. The photo was taken at that time."
“I was just starting elementary school then, and I didn’t understand anything about life and death, nor did I know that hamsters’ lives were so short. My mom was afraid that I would be sad if I found out that the hamster had died, so she would secretly replace it with a new one each time and lie that it was the original one. I asked her why the hamster wasn’t bald anymore, and she said that she had taken the hamster to get a wig.” Liang Minghe’s eyes softened as he recalled, filled with endless tender nostalgia.
Zhou Jinqin's heart softened suddenly. She realized that Liang Zongqiang's current act of raising rats was merely a continuation of his wife's behavior of loving their son. It was purposeful, an attempt to awaken or salvage something.
She stepped forward and hugged the man from behind, avoiding any expression of emotion on her face, while also trying to keep her tone as light as possible: "Oh, so Tuantuan likes you because you smell like a mouse."
Liang Minghe chuckled softly, then squatted down and carried the person on his back: "What about the mother cat? Does she like my scent?"
Zhou Jinqin buried her head in his shoulder and sniffed. It was actually the exact same shower gel scent as hers, but due to individual differences, it presented a completely different olfactory effect, like the allure of a honey-filled flower to a bee—an absolute attraction.
She nodded and said earnestly, "I like it."
Liang Minghe tilted his head and nuzzled her fluffy head. Often, at this point, the feelings were already strong enough that they could do something intimate, such as a light kiss that expressed love without being overtly sensual.
Just as their lips naturally touched, they were interrupted by a series of restless knocks on the door.
Liang Jiahe, carrying a bulging schoolbag, said excitedly from the doorway, "Brother and sister-in-law, I'm ready to go."
Liang Minghe's face darkened. He thought he could only endure it for one more day, otherwise he would throw this brat out no matter what.
Before agreeing to go to the amusement park with Liang Jiahe, Liang Minghe added an additional condition: Liang Jiahe had to go back to his own home after the activity. Liang Jiahe didn't dare to stay outside for too long anyway, so he agreed.
This trip was jointly proposed by Liang Jiahe and Zhou Jinqin, but Liang Minghe ended up having the most fun.
The two people who made the proposal were a coward and an incompetent man. Liang Jiahe gave up on most of the projects just by looking at them, while Zhou Jinqin was determined to try them since she was already there. As a result, she didn't get a good look from anyone the whole time.
Liang Minghe half-carried Zhou Jinqin, who had just gotten off the water roller coaster, and chuckled as he wiped the water droplets from her eyes, teasing, "Were you scared and cried? Or did water from the pool splash into your eyes?"
Zhou Jinqin pouted and muttered, "I'll never try to be strong again."
Liang Minghe laughed heartily: "Well, let's just look at the floats later, and not do anything else, how about that?"
Before Zhou Jinqin could agree, Liang Jiahe cast his vote in favor for her with both hands and feet, and immediately received an ice cream as a reward from his sister-in-law.
Liang Jiahe is not tall, and if he eats ice cream in the crowd waiting for the float, he might accidentally get it on other people. To avoid such an unpleasant situation, the three of them went to a corner to wait first.
While Liang Jiahe was eating ice cream, Liang Minghe pulled Zhou Jinqin aside to take pictures.
Because Liang Minghe was so handsome and had such a great physique, plus his flamboyant outfit and highly interactive poses for photos, he was mistaken for an official NPC hired by the park, and soon he was surrounded by a small group of people.
Zhou Jinqin awkwardly pushed away Liang Minghe's head that was leaning towards her and asked the girl next to her what had happened.
The other person chuckled and said, "Sister, we're in line. It'll be my turn after you're done taking your picture."
Someone nearby chuckled, "Our amusement park has secretly added something new again? This time, the male beauties are really catching my eye."
"Absolutely stunning, I am absolutely lustful at this moment."
Now Zhou Jinqin understood what had happened. She pursed her lips, bracing herself for Liang Minghe's probing and encouraging gaze, and declared ownership: "Um... I'm sorry, you probably can't film it."
"Why?" the girl asked curiously.
Zhou Jinqin answered with great shame, "Because this is my husband."
"..."
Married men absolutely cannot do this. The crowd quickly dispersed, and one could vaguely hear someone remarking how well the brat ate.
Liang Minghe remained noncommittal, but he whispered earnestly in her ear, "They're wrong. I think I ate better."
Recalling those restless nights when he would praise her sweetness with his moist, sticky lips, Zhou Jinqin blushed with embarrassment just from the memory.
She pushed away the serious-looking man in front of her in embarrassment and anger, and headed towards Liang Jiahe without turning her head, but unexpectedly missed him.
It was only a meter away, and the child's view was only briefly blocked by a few onlookers. How could the child have disappeared?
Zhou Jinqin panicked immediately. Liang Minghe frowned deeply, but still patiently comforted her: "It's okay, you won't get lost in the park. Liang Jiahe wouldn't be stupid enough to follow a stranger."
"Hmm." There was no use blaming herself at this point, so Zhou Jinqin calmed down. "Let's go to the service desk and make an announcement to find someone."
The amusement park is crowded and large, so searching by just two people is like looking for a needle in a haystack. It would be better to seek help from official channels.
The two went to the service desk, and Zhou Jinqin insisted on calling Liang Jiahe's watch, but perhaps because the park was too noisy, the other party did not answer.
Liang Ming explained the situation to the staff and provided detailed information about Liang Jiahe, even specifying the color of the shoes he was wearing.
The staff recorded the information in detail and were about to start broadcasting to find the person when Zhou Jinqin's phone, which was ringing at full volume, vibrated first.
She didn't even have time to look at the caller ID before quickly answering the phone.
It was Jia Yang's voice on the other end: "Jinqin, you... Mr. Liang's brother is with me."
Jia Yang took his niece out to play today. It was inconvenient to take the little girl into the restroom, so he temporarily entrusted her to the staff at the entrance for help. When he came out, he saw his niece chatting enthusiastically with Liang Jiahe. He asked and found out that the two were classmates and good friends.
After finishing his ice cream, Liang Jiahe wanted to throw away the trash. The trash can was right next to him, but he saw his classmate Ou Xiaoya in the distance and subconsciously wanted to run over to say hello. He forgot about his brother and sister-in-law. When he remembered, he had forgotten the way he came, which is why Jiayang called Zhou Jinqin.
Liang Jiahe was certain he would be scolded, so he shrank back like an ostrich and hid behind Jia Yang.
Jia Yang smiled at Zhou Jinqin, then looked up at Liang Minghe: "I don't think he did it on purpose, so it's best not to scold him."
Liang Minghe's expression was somewhat cool, but he didn't say anything sarcastic or sarcastic like he usually did. He nodded and said, "Thank you for your help."
Jia Yang nodded and gently pulled Liang Jiahe out from behind him, while he himself pulled his niece to stand next to Zhou Jinqin, leaving the two brothers to solve the problem themselves.
Liang Ming glanced at the two people who were completely at odds, kept quiet and didn't express his dissatisfaction, but squatted down and spoke to the timid Liang Jiahe at eye level.
"Am I a bad person in your eyes?" Liang Minghe pinched the fat on his face.
Liang Jiahe didn't dare to look at him. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he choked out, "I'm sorry, brother, I shouldn't have run off like that."
Liang Minghe had no intention of scolding him at all. He sighed, grabbed a tissue, and haphazardly wiped away his tears: "Why are you crying? I have no intention of scolding you. It was wrong of you to run around, but I didn't keep a close eye on you, so the responsibility seems quite heavy as well."
Liang Jiahe glanced at him furtively, and only dared to be bolder when he saw that Liang Minghe's face was indeed not angry. He shook his head: "It has nothing to do with you. I'm a big kid now. Many of my classmates go to and from school by themselves, but I still..."
"So?" Liang Ming asked him calmly, "Who says older kids have to be like that?"
"I……"
Jia Yang didn't listen to the rest of her rather educational words. He looked up at the woman's gentle profile and said, "Mr. Liang seems to be a little different from what I imagined."
“He may be a little childish at times, but he’s actually very mature when it comes to solving problems.” Zhou Jinqin turned to look at him, smiled, and said earnestly, “Thank you so much for troubling me again.”
Jia Yang didn't want to hear too many praises for Liang Minghe, nor did she want to hear her polite and distant thanks.
He turned to face her, his eyes, devoid of emotion, fixed on her. He asked, "Are you going to treat me to dinner again?"
