Chapter 76 "Thank you."
Wen Lingshuang felt that Jiang An had really changed a lot. A few months ago, he was very gentlemanly, always saying things like "It's up to you," "I'll listen to you," and "Okay." But now, he was so frank and straightforward as to say "I can't do it."
They've really gotten used to the good life!
Wen Lingshuang decided not to let him touch her for the next month until he began to reflect and examine himself!
Xiao Fenlei angrily turned off her phone, turned around and lay down on the bed. When she covered herself with the blanket, she could smell Jiang An's faint fragrance. He seemed to have changed his perfume recently, and he would match it with the perfume she wore. If she wore a floral scent, he would definitely wear a woody scent. Now the whole bed was filled with the scent of citrus and musk, which mixed together to create a wonderful third scent.
She called this flavor "romance".
She picked up the pillow he had slept on and hugged it to her chest, just like he had held her while she slept last night, and gradually, sleepiness began to wash over her.
I don't know if it's because I made a promise with Jiang An to go on vacation to the tea plantation in March, but I dreamed about the tea plantation last night, and I dreamed about it again when I fell asleep; I dreamed that she was running all over the mountains in a white dress, and that she was holding her companion's hand and hiding under a tea tree that was not tall enough to reach a person, waiting for the adults to come and find her, eating the most authentic mountain dishes, and sleeping in a wooden manor with cicadas chirping and birds singing.
When she woke up, it was snowing heavily again outside. She watched the snowflakes falling in a daze, and the tea garden where she and her grandfather lived became clearer in her mind.
She rested her head on the pillow, listening to the sound of the wind and snow, and tapped the smart operating system next to her. A melodious classical tune came from the ceiling speakers, as if she were in the elegant and artistic city of Rome. She closed her eyes slightly to enjoy it. Jiang An's voice came from outside the door. She turned over, picked up the tablet, and saw the scene downstairs through the camera installed in the villa.
Jiang An and Zhao Tinghe appeared in the video.
She lay on the pillow watching them, and deliberately turned on the speakerphone to listen to their conversation.
Just like at the Jiang family home, Zhao Tinghe pulled Jiang An aside and started talking about things from her childhood.
Jiang An didn't show much emotional fluctuation. Instead, he was particularly interested in the tea he had brewed today. He beckoned Ah Shui, who was standing not far away, to come over and asked her which tea cabinet she had taken the tea from.
Ah Shui's expression turned somewhat unpleasant after hearing this.
After stammering for a while, he finally said, "This is Miss, oh no, Madam... When we went to the club, the club owner, Mr. Huang, gave her to me."
Oh, that's the owner of the male model shop.
Jiang An picked up his teacup, looking at the tea leaves swirling in the greenish-blue tea soup, a half-smile on his face.
"Jiang An, do you feel that my coming here is bothering you?" Zhao Tinghe said slowly when she saw that Jiang An was not in a good mood. "If you feel that I am bothering you, then I will leave."
Jiang An snapped out of his daze, looked at her, and said, "Miss Zhao."
He always called her name with such unfamiliarity.
It was so awkward, as if we'd never met before.
Zhao Tinghe frowned slightly and slowly looked at him.
“I am very grateful for your help when I was a child, but now I have a wife and a family. If you keep coming here, I’m afraid my wife will be unhappy.”
Zhao Tinghe didn't expect Jiang An to say such cold words.
Yao Fei clearly said that he cared a lot about the girl from his childhood.
Her hands unconsciously clenched into fists, a hint of resentment rising in her heart. She had put in so much effort, memorized so much, and all she got in return was a simple "thank you?" Zhao Tinghe pursed her lips. "I thought you treated me differently."
“My memories of you are only fragments from when you were a child. You look completely different now than you did back then, so how can you expect me to be the same as I was?” Jiang An sat there with his legs crossed, elegant and languid. “Miss Zhao, people change.”
Zhao Tinghe couldn't stand it any longer.
The intention to drive away customers is too obvious.
She slowly stood up and said, "Jiang An, if I had known it would be like this, I wouldn't have helped you when you were little. It turns out my grandfather was right, you're an ingrate, you can't be tamed."
Jiang An remained calm and listened to her finish speaking before raising his hand towards the door, signaling her to leave.
Zhao Tinghe picked up her bag, turned around, and walked towards the door.
Outside, the snow was still falling heavily, just like that winter when Jiang An was freezing to death in the tea garden, shivering in the dilapidated basement. The neatly dressed, pretty little girl walked in carrying thick clothes, threw them all at him, and said in a haughty yet cute way, "Put these on, or I'll get angry."
When she gets angry, it's because she forces him to eat the food she doesn't like.
Ironically, the food she disliked was a delicacy to him.
Whether she was angry or rewarding him, it's unclear.
But one thing is certain: she would never have uttered the words "ungrateful wretch" when she was a child, because she was well-mannered.
As the snowstorm intensified, Zhao Tinghe nearly got blown over by the wind when she stepped outside. Her phone was ringing with a message from Yao Fei; she knew what it said without even looking, and could only reply with four words: "[Completely unresponsive.]"
This path is blocked.
Actually, it's not entirely unexpected. Jiang An is cold-blooded and ruthless; how could he possibly develop feelings because of something that happened in his childhood? Only someone desperate would believe that such a person could have emotions.
Jiang An sat on the sofa, finished his tea, put the cup down, and went upstairs.
When he reached the top of the stairs, he saw Wen Lingshuang standing barefoot on the steps, looking down at him.
The hostess's demeanor.
Jiang An liked it when she looked at him like that, as if he were her possession, and her control over his joys and sorrows. This feeling of being dominated made him feel comfortable, especially in bed.
He walked towards her, and after reaching her side, he wrapped his large hand around her slender waist.
She seems to have lost weight recently; her waist is so thin you could wrap your hand around it, but her breasts have gotten bigger, and you can't even hold them with one hand.
A greedy gaze leaped down from above, easily catching sight of the dark line of the deep ravine and the full, snow-capped peaks. The burning gaze was almost unbearable. Wen Lingshuang raised her hand to cover his eyes and scolded, "Jiang An, don't you think you've changed lately?"
"Hmm?" His breathing became heavier, and his voice was extremely hoarse.
"You've become very lustful."
"Indulgence?" Jiang An asked slowly, "Or excessive lust?"
"Is there a difference?" She grabbed his tie with one hand. "Don't you know this is wrong?"
With her vision blocked, Jiang An's imagination ran wild, and he thought about the madness of last night...
He clicked his tongue. "I don't know."
Wen Lingshuang had anticipated his response. She grabbed his tie with one hand, wrapped it around her palm a few times, and then gave it a slight tug. He bent over under the weight. "By the time you find out, your body will be ruined. Jiang An, we need to be careful with these things."
When Wen Lingshuang saw him smile, her face flushed and she felt a little guilty. She said, "Anyway, just sleep quietly during this time and don't do anything else."
Actually, ten minutes ago, she didn't intend to say such 'resolute' words.
After all, he wasn't the only one enjoying himself. Jiang An's service attitude and skills had improved dramatically. From the first time he made her feel like she was dying, to every time after that he made her feel physically and mentally happy, she had to admit that this old man had an absolute talent for this kind of thing.
But there was nothing she could do; seeing him talking to Zhao Tinghe still stirred up a nameless anger within her.
Yao Fei's move was brilliant.
Even if they didn't do anything substantial, just being disgusting is enough.
She now deeply regretted letting Zhao Tinghe in to escape the cold. She should have let her stand outside, freezing, so that when Jiang An returned and saw her pitiful state, perhaps he would have taken pity on her… and then…
A TV drama was playing out in Wen Lingshuang's mind.
Jiang An slowly grasped the hand covering her eyes, looked into her eyes, and said, "Wife, don't punish yourself while you punish me."
He bent down, leaned close to her ear, and whispered, "You glutton."
!!
What is this person saying?!
Wen Lingshuang bit her red lips, pushed him away fiercely, and pointed at him, saying, "Jiang An, you're being unreasonable!"
Then, angrily, he turned and walked towards the room.
Jiang An watched her angry back and felt a headache coming on.
Why such a strong reaction?
"I didn't get angry even though I said more outrageous things in bed. What's wrong with that statement?"
Jiang An didn't have time to think. He stepped forward to chase after her, grabbed her arm after catching up, and said, "Yangyang, I'm not being unreasonable." Then he added, "Are you upset because of Zhao Tinghe?"
“Oh, right, Zhao Tinghe.” Wen Lingshuang stopped, turned to look at him, and said, word by word, “Jiang An, listen carefully. I don’t care what your relationship with Zhao Tinghe is, or how good you were to her when you were little. In short, I’m going to start targeting her.”
Why make such a big fuss about it?
Jiang An found her insanely adorable and nodded, saying, "Hmm, and then?"
"Nothing more. I heard your conversation downstairs just now. She inexplicably called you an ingrate, which is the same as calling me an ingrate. You know I can't stand being insulted, and those who insult me will pay the price!"
She turned around sharply, a few stray hairs sticking messily to her cheeks. He raised his hand and tucked the stray hairs behind his ear. "Yangyang, I want to kiss you."
Wen Lingshuang: "?"
Did he not understand what she was saying?
Jiang An's movements were gentle, and his tone was even more so, "I will handle Zhao Tinghe's matter; you don't need to come."
Wen Lingshuang was taken aback. "What do you mean?"
Jiang An laughed and said, "She dares to come to your house so openly and make you unhappy. If I just let it go, wouldn't I be neglecting my duty as a husband?"
Jiang An had actually planned to take action before, but he postponed it due to something that happened when he was a child.
Without knowing if she is the one, any decision made could lead to regret.
But today, her visit to his home crossed Jiang An's bottom line.
As soon as he finished speaking, he kissed her red lips, enveloping them in all their fragrance and sweetness.
It was this very mouth of hers that said, "To scold him is to scold her."
It was this very mouth that said, "Jiang An, come in, deeper."
It's this very mouth that says, "Honey, I want it."
He was saying things he wanted to hear.
Wen Lingshuang was completely shut down by him and couldn't utter a single word.
His greed and his desires were fully revealed in that kiss.
After a few minutes, he reluctantly pulled away from her red lips. Seeing her eyes glazed over from the kiss, he smiled and said, "Are you going to sleep well tonight?"
Wen Lingshuang was so dizzy from the kisses that she felt disoriented.
In a daze, I gave up on the idea of sleeping properly.
*
With the Lunar New Year approaching, Wen Lingshuang's new clothes for the New Year, which she and the three Tan sisters ordered, have arrived. They are bright and beautiful light yellow coats. Usually, this color can look tacky or cheap if not made well, but on Wen Lingshuang, it looks bright, elegant, beautiful and gentle.
Besides clothes, there are also household matters that she needs to take care of.
This was her first time spending the Lunar New Year away from home, and she had to oversee all the little things, such as the Spring Festival couplets, the New Year's Eve dinner, and the refreshments.
When Ah Shui showed her the list of things she needed, she was overwhelmed by the sheer number of options.
Before she got married, there weren't so many trivial things to do when celebrating the Lunar New Year at home. All she had to do was eat the New Year's Eve dinner and then go to see the fireworks show with Tan Zhu and the others.
Now that they're married, she has to take care of everything.
Being the lady of the house is not easy!
Seeing her looking worried, Ah Shui smiled and said, "Miss, this is your first time handling New Year's arrangements. If you can't manage it, let's go back home and celebrate."
Ah Shui's words were very touching.
Once you go back, you don't need to worry about anything.
But then she thought about it again. She had a lot of friends coming, and she couldn't let them go home with her for the New Year. They would drink and make a ruckus, and she would definitely get scolded.
"I'm already married," Wen Lingshuang said seriously. "It's impossible to rely on my family for everything. It's just the New Year, let's start with the Spring Festival couplets!"
Wen Lingshuang's calligraphy was not bad; she had studied with a master when she was young. It was just a half-baked skill. It might fool a layman, but it wouldn't fool Jiang An. As she was writing, Jiang An came over to take a look and commented with four words: "Usable enough."
Ahhh.
She was furious.
She slammed the pen down and said, "You do it!"
Then, with an air of superiority, he turned and walked out the door.
Next came tea and snacks, which was easy to handle. They had countless suppliers who had worked with them in previous years. She could just make a few phone calls and all kinds of tea and snacks would be delivered to their home, most of them new products. She pulled Ah Shui to sit down, calling it a 'tasting session'. In the end, the two of them sat on the sofa and ate tea and snacks for an entire afternoon. After they were full, they lay down on the sofa and took a nap.
When Jiang An came down, he saw her lying there with her beautiful eyes closed. The warm yellow light shone on her body, and he lowered his head to kiss her forehead.
His voluptuous figure even seduces him while he sleeps.
He pinched the tip of her nose, then looked at the empty tea and snacks on the table and shook his head helplessly.
He whispered in her ear, "You still say you're not a glutton."
They eat everything; it's hard to please two mouths.
When Wen Lingshuang woke up, what greeted her eyes was a lively scene with red paper-cut windows and lanterns and couplets hanging everywhere. Not only the windows, but the whole house was filled with small red lanterns, all covered with a thin layer of velvet. The light shone through the velvet and was cast into a red cloud.
A bright red ornament hangs from the top right edge to the left, symbolizing the Chinese New Year.
Even some porcelain pieces were decorated with red paper-cuts, creating an atmosphere so strong it felt like New Year's Eve.
Wen Lingshuang stood up and saw Jiang An walking in from outside with Spring Festival couplets in his hand. She called out, "Jiang An, did you do all this?"
Jiang An looked at her and said, "The house is too big, and some parts are not yet finished. Can you tell me if there's anything you're not satisfied with?"
"My God, are you a genius?!" Wen Lingshuang ran up to him, hugged his neck, and said in surprise, "You finished it in just one afternoon."
Jiang An was pleased with her praise. "Do you like it?"
"I love it!" Wen Lingshuang nodded quickly. "When I saw the list, I was worried about what to do with this and that... My mom even called me and told us to come home for the New Year, clearly underestimating me! Now it's great! Our family has the New Year's atmosphere!"
Our family...
Hearing those three words, Jiang An felt an indescribable warmth in his heart. He wrapped his arms tightly around her waist and whispered, "Yes, it feels like the New Year."
"Yangyang, this is the first time I've ever felt at home," he said, pressing his nose against hers. "Thank you."
