Chapter 5 A dull ache in my lower abdomen
Zhou Yuchu released Fu Siyu and took many gifts from the sofa next to him.
"Mom bought all of these for you. Take a look and see if there's anything you like."
Fu Siyu's eyes lit up, "It's Iron Man!"
"Does Siyu like it?" Zhou Yuchu patted his head. "It's a limited edition. Mom asked several friends to help her find it, and it was quite a struggle to buy it."
"Thank you, Mom!" Fu Siyu accepted the Iron Man toy, his clear, childlike voice echoing throughout the villa: "Mom, you're so good!"
Zhou Yu smiled through her tears, "Baby, you're finally willing to call me Mom."
“Dad just told me that Mom, you suffered a lot to give birth to me.”
Fu Siyu put down the Iron Man mask, took out a tissue and wiped Zhou Yuchu's tears. "Mom, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you this morning. I won't do that to you again."
Upon hearing this, Zhou Yuchu's tears flowed even more fiercely, making her look even more pitiful.
“Baby, you did nothing wrong. It’s Mommy’s fault. Mommy will do her best to be a good mother from now on.”
“Mom is not bad!” Fu Siyu hugged Zhou Yuchu tightly. “Dad said that you have always loved me, and I will love you well in the future!”
Zhou Yu looked at Fu Siyan, her tears flowing even more fiercely, "Thank you, Siyan."
Fu Siyan walked over and handed her his handkerchief. "This is what I should do. Don't cry, Siyu will feel sorry for you."
"Yes, Mom, you're so pretty, don't cry, crying will make you ugly!"
Upon hearing this, Zhou Yuchu took Fu Siyan's handkerchief, wiped away her tears, and said, "Okay, Mom, don't cry."
The mother and son were reunited, a heartwarming and sweet moment.
Fu Siyu received many gifts and sat on the sofa playing with them.
Zhou Yuchu sat to the side watching, her eyes gentle.
Fu Siyan sat on a single sofa to the side, looking down at his phone to handle work.
Zhou Yuchu turned to look at him, hesitated for a moment, and then asked softly, "What do you plan to do about Miss Chen?"
Upon hearing this, Fu Siyan looked up, his expression indifferent, and said, "I will handle it."
“Miss Shen has taken good care of Siyu over the past few years. To be honest, I always feel sorry for her.”
“This is not your fault,” Fu Siyan said in a low voice. “Siyu is your child.”
"Yes, Mom!" Fu Siyu looked up from a pile of toys, her little mouth sweet as honey: "I was born from you, so it's only right that I acknowledge you! Besides, you're so beautiful, and Dad says I'm so cute all because you're so pretty, Mom!"
"You little sycophant!" Zhou Yuchu tapped his nose. "You wouldn't dare say that in front of your mother, Qing Shu. She'll be angry."
"No way!" Fu Siyu said confidently. "She would never be angry with me!"
Fu Siyan answered a phone call; it was business.
He stood up. "I'll go back to the office first."
"Okay, you go ahead with your work, Siyu's keeping me company." Zhou Yuchu paused, then asked, "Are you coming back for dinner?"
Fu Siyan pursed his lips and pondered for a moment before replying, "I'll be back as soon as I'm done."
"Then drive carefully."
Goodbye, Dad!
Fu Siyan gave a curt reply and turned to leave.

The lights were still on in the restoration room of the studio late at night.
The woman's waist-length hair was tied up with a hairpin, revealing her fair and slender neck. She had protective goggles on her nose and her hands, gloved with white gloves, held tools.
With her head bowed and eyes focused, she was making the final touches on the artifact.
Everyone else had left, and the entire floor was quiet, except for the faint sounds made by Shen Qingshu as she operated the equipment.
The more unsatisfactory life is, the more we must not slack off at work.
Over the years, having witnessed the fickleness of human nature, Shen Qingshu has gradually come to understand a truth: human nature is hard to discern, and people's hearts are unpredictable; only money and career are things that she can firmly grasp if she works hard.
Five years ago, in order to stay in Beicheng to take care of Fu Siyu, she gave up the opportunity to be recommended by her mentor, who then broke off all contact with her in a fit of anger.
This is Shen Qingshu's biggest regret to this day.
Feeling guilty about failing her mentor's guidance and attention, she continued to use her spare time over the past five years to buy materials and study to improve herself.
After graduating from university, I took out a loan to open a studio.
Today, the studio is on the right track, and her fees for taking on jobs are getting higher and higher.
Her personal savings are enough for her and her mother to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.
Actually, everything is moving in a positive direction.
As for those people you can't hold onto or keep, learning to distance yourself is a sign of growth...
After completing the final restoration work, Shen Qingshu placed the artifact into a container.
Back in her office, she poured herself a glass of warm water and drank it all in one gulp.
She put down her water glass and glanced at the calendar on the table.
I picked up a pen and crossed out today's date on the calendar.
There are 8 days left until my mother is released from prison.
The weather forecast predicted a sunny day.
Buzzing—
My phone is vibrating in my pocket.
It was Fu Siyan calling.
Shen Qingshu frowned, took a deep breath, and pressed the answer button.
"When are you coming back?" Fu Siyan's deep voice came through the phone.
Shen Qingshu glanced at the time; it was 2 a.m.
She was a little tired and didn't want to drive another half hour back.
She rubbed her sore neck and asked in a light, cold voice, "What is it?"
"Siyu is waiting for you to come back and tell him a bedtime story."
Shen Qingshu paused, her hand rubbing her neck.
Thinking about how Fu Siyan had taken Fu Siyu to comfort Zhou Yuchu during the day, she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable.
"I'm not going back today." Her voice was flat and emotionless. "You should try to comfort him."
After saying that, Shen Qingshu hung up the phone.
But the next second Fu Siyan called again.
Feeling somewhat irritated, Shen Qingshu turned off her phone, threw it on the table, and pushed open the door to the lounge before going inside.
It's common for restorers to work overtime and stay up late, so when the studio was being renovated, she partitioned off a rest room in her personal office.
The lounge has a bathroom and provides daily necessities and a change of clothes.
Sometimes when she's too busy, she'll bring Fu Siyu along. She'll coax Fu Siyu to sleep first, and then she'll go back to work.
Therefore, Fu Siyu's personal belongings are also in this lounge.
After taking a shower and changing into her pajamas, Shen Qingshu was just about to go to sleep when she suddenly heard a child crying outside.
"Mom! Mom, open the door!"
Chen Qingshu was taken aback.
Is it Fu Siyu?
She came out of the office and strode towards the studio door.
Through the glass door, Fu Siyan held the crying Fu Siyu and looked at her.
Fu Siyu was wearing a down jacket, but underneath she was only wearing pajamas.
Her feet were bare, without even a pair of socks.
The outdoor temperature in the northern part of the city is nearly minus thirty degrees Celsius on a winter night.
Fu Siyu has such a weak immune system, what if she catches a cold!
Shen Qingshu was a little annoyed and went to open the door. "Why did you bring him out so late..."
"Mother!"
Fu Siyu immediately released Fu Siyan and pounced on Shen Qingshu.
Shen Qingshu subconsciously reached out to catch him.
Fu Siyu hugged Shen Qingshu tightly around the neck, buried his face in her neck, and cried loudly.
"Mommy, are you not going to leave me anymore?! Waaah, Mommy, please don't leave me..."
Shen Qingshu frowned slightly, her face a little pale.
My lower abdomen, which had stopped hurting, suddenly started to ache again, a dull, aching pain...
