Huang Yan was indeed unlucky in his life.
Twenty years ago, he covered for a colleague and ended up handling a major case. In order to save his life, he was forced to flee Qizhou, the place he had been struggling to escape from for more than ten years.
Nearly twenty years later, he was supposed to revisit the old place, but he caught a cold and stayed in the inn for several days. Today, he felt a little better, so he wanted to go out for a breath of fresh air, but before he could take a few steps, he was pulled into a dark alley.
The four young servants in green clothes in front of him were smiling wickedly and approaching him step by step.
"You, who are you?" Huang Yan's legs were shaking, his voice was trembling, and his brain could no longer focus on thinking.
"Of course you don't know us, but it doesn't matter. My master asked me to bring you a message: you know too much!" The leading man in green laughed dryly, and his throat sounded as if he had swallowed a knife, dry and unpleasant.
The leader in green finished speaking leisurely, then his face suddenly darkened and he raised a sharp blade. A cold light flashed before his eyes, and the blade stabbed straight at Huang Yan.
Poor Huang Yan was already frightened, and at this moment, he felt as if he had taken root and could not escape. He could only close his eyes in despair and wait for his fate to come.
The next second, a few muffled groans were heard from the dark alley, and someone fell to the ground.
Huang Yan was so nervous that he couldn't breathe. He didn't feel the pain he had imagined, nor was there a single bloody wound. Huang Yan then trembled and opened his eyes, stunned for a moment.
In front of him stood a girl in red, wearing a veil and holding a stone in her hand, looking very casual. At her feet, four people in green were lying on the ground, their lives or deaths unknown.
The girl became impatient first, and she threw the stone aside: "Old man, are you okay? You're welcome. As the saying goes: When you see injustice, draw your sword and help." After saying this, she clasped her fists, looking very formal.
A gust of wind blew through the hall, slightly lifting the girl's veil, revealing Gu Junwen's extremely beautiful, almost enchanting, androgynous face.
Huang Yan was completely stunned.
"Hey, Boss, what happened to Huang Yan?" Gu Junwen scratched his ears rudely and tilted his head to complain to System 101.
"Well, the test results show that shock accounts for 90% of the emotion." System 101 glanced at the control panel and gave a diligent reminder.
"I understand. Su Su, who are you, Su Su?" Huang Yan's face was full of disbelief, but it was more like the joy of reunion after a long separation.
This came out of nowhere, Gu Junwen subconsciously frowned, stared at Huang Yan quietly, and asked back: "Then who are you, Su Su?"
"That's not the case. She was the most beautiful woman in Kyoto back then. Everyone knew her." Huang Yan narrowed his eyes slightly and wiped the sweat off his forehead. He seemed to have forgotten where he was and was intoxicated in his memories.
"Mom was quite powerful back then. After all these years, people still remember her. But, this Huang Yan shouldn't have such a big reaction, right?"
Gu Junwen muttered to herself for a while, and finally, she chose to cruelly burst Huang Yan's fantasy. After all, this didn't seem like a good place to reminisce about the past.
"Son of an old friend, meeting each other is fate. Child, can you chat with me today?" Perhaps because he smelled the musty smell in the alley, Huang Yan coughed a few times and looked up at Gu Junwen.
"Oh, okay." Gu Junwen had prepared an 800-word draft in his mind, ready to appeal to Huang Yan's emotions and reason, but who knew that Huang Yan would actually take the initiative to invite him.
He immediately took the initiative to lead the way, and the two came to a tea stall on the street. Compared with Gu Junwen's urgency, Huang Yan seemed more confused. He had already drunk three cups of tea in a row, as if to suppress the panic in his heart.
"You?" Gu Junwen opened and closed his lips, looking at the old man in front of him suspiciously, "What do you want to say?"
"You've also seen that someone wants to kill me. I know that you are a child of the Gu family." Facing Gu Junwen's gaze, Huang Yan smiled mysteriously and headed straight towards the direction of the palace. "I know that the Qiao family is extinct. That person won't care. Only the Gu family may investigate."
"Why?"
"Major General Gu, you don't have to hide it. Your face is so much like your mother's. I can tell you what happened back then, but I have a condition." Huang Yan seemed to be lost in memories again, and he became excited as he spoke.
"No, I was too credulous. Kyoto is a place that eats people without leaving any bones. But what can I do? The children are almost starving to death. We are old and weak. What do we have to be afraid of?" Huang Yan seemed to be hysterical. He suddenly became incoherent and it was unknown who he was talking to.
"Mr. Huang, Mr. Huang!" Gu Junwen was sensitive enough to sense that something was wrong, but she was unwilling to give up the clue of Huang Yan. Gu Junwen shook Huang Yan stubbornly, wanting him to wake up.
Hearing the sound of wind behind him, Gu Junwen subconsciously turned his head, and Lin Lin chopped Huang Yan's neck with a knife. Huang Yan rolled his eyes and fell down.
"Help you back to the inn. This is not the place to talk, let's go first." Ye Nan walked over, waved his folding fan, and grabbed Gu Junwen's arm.
"What are you doing?"
"Don't move." Ye Nanyi suddenly leaned close to Gu Junwen's ear and laughed softly, his voice magnetic, "Is General Gu shy?"
"You're the shy one!" Gu Junwen, who is usually a lazy guy but is rebellious in front of Ye Nan, immediately came over with his neck stiffened.
"Of course." Ye Nanyiyi's eyes were full of teasing, and he suddenly pushed Gu Junwen away.
"What did you do again!" Gu Junwen was so angry that his hair exploded.
"Nothing. Someone was watching just now. Of course, it was for my image." Ye Nanyiyi walked quickly in front as if he was disgusted.
"You!" With nowhere to vent her anger, Gu Junwen kicked a stone away, and in the process earned the evaluation of "fierce woman" in the hearts of dozens of passers-by.
Throw it away after use, and kill it after it has done its job, bah! Ye Nanyi, wait for me!
