Chapter 131 The Wedding Procession

For some reason, there was a commotion downstairs.

Wen Xingyue left the room and peeked downstairs.

Huo Tingxiao's tall and straight figure appeared.

The man, dressed in a dark green military uniform, with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and strong, deep-set eyes, strode forward step by step, exuding an imposing and unassailable aura.

Many people sitting in the living room stood up, their gazes fixed intently on Huo Tingxiao.

If he hadn't already been married, people trying to introduce him to potential partners would probably have been lining up at his door by now.

Huo Tingxiao's face was cold and stern, and he merely nodded indifferently to the group of relatives and friends in the living room.

As if sensing something, he looked up at the second floor.

The next second, everyone personally felt the ice and snow melting.

The man, who had just been serious and cold, suddenly smiled.

The expressionless eyes and brows seemed to suddenly come alive, a bright smile shining from their ends.

He called out to everyone and strode straight up to the second floor.

"Your eldest son and daughter-in-law have a really good relationship."

"Yes, yes, indeed, there is always someone who can subdue another. When Tingxiao saw Xingyue, he immediately became a laughingstock."

"They've been married for so long, and they're still so lovey-dovey. Their relationship is really good."

Someone looked at Huo's mother and teased her.

"If he doesn't cherish his wife, Yueyue will leave him, and this guy will be a bachelor for life."

Mrs. Huo smiled and spoke.

It's a blessing for this guy's family that he was able to marry Yueyue.

They were happy to see their son and daughter-in-law having a good relationship.

When did you arrive?

Huo Tingxiao went upstairs with a smile in his eyes and stood next to Wen Xingyue, drawing envious glances from those below.

I've never seen anyone so indifferent to other people's opinions. When he saw his wife, he huddled close to her, not caring at all what others might say.

Unlike the men in their family, they would never walk with them, and even if they did, they would quickly walk away.

"I've been here for a while."

Wen Xingyue walked with him towards the bridal chamber.

"Have you had breakfast? Why are your hands a little cold? Are you wearing too little clothing?"

Huo Tingxiao took Wen Xingyue's hand in his own; it wasn't very warm, so he warmed it in his own. His dry, rough hand enveloped her slender, soft hand.

The person next to her was wearing a white knitted long dress, a pink down jacket over it, and ankle boots; she was dressed very fashionably and beautifully.

Huo Tingxiao was worried that she would get cold in order to look pretty.

"After breakfast, Xiaojun brought me some steamed buns from home. It's not cold in the room; I just touched the railing."

Wen Xingyue didn't struggle. Huo Tingxiao's hands were warm. In this winter, Huo Tingxiao was a natural heater. Leaning against him was like being next to a stove.

In winter, Huo Tingxiao became a favorite of Wen Xingyue.

I find him sticky in the summer.

She had just been leaning on the railing watching him, so her hands were cold.

Huo Tingxiao simply put her hand into his bag.

The little peach blossom spirit's hands and feet are always cold in winter and can't be warmed up in a short time. At home, she definitely has to put her hands on her stomach to warm them up.

We can't do that now that we're out here.

"Auntie."

The two entered the bridal chamber, and Huo Tingxiao called out to the others.

"I thought you'd be arriving later."

Fang Yihan was talking with Wen Lingyue and the others, and she smiled when she saw them come in.

"No matter how busy I am, I definitely can't miss your wedding banquet, Auntie."

It got warm as soon as they entered the room. Huo Tingxiao took Wen Xingyue's hands out and found her a hand warmer to warm them.

"When is your uncle coming?" Huo Tingxiao asked.

"It should be soon."

Fang Yihan glanced at her watch; it was already eleven o'clock. They had booked a table at the restaurant.

"You should sit down and rest for a bit." Fang Yihan noticed that his forehead was even sweating in the dead of winter, clearly indicating that he had rushed over from the army.

"Mm." Huo Tingxiao sat down next to Wen Xingyue.

Soon, the sound of firecrackers crackling came from outside the courtyard.

The noise downstairs grew even louder.

"Here he comes, here he comes, Xiao Zhao is here."

"Xiao Zhao is quite promising at such a young age. He has such a large fish farm, and many restaurants order from him."

"Wow, six cars picking people up, how impressive!"

"Wow, look at that suit! Your figure is so upright, you look amazing!"

Downstairs, relatives and friends greeted Zhao Jingping as he entered.

On such a joyous day, no one uttered any discouraging words. Even if there were a couple of sour grapes, they were drowned out by the sounds of happiness.

Zhao Jingping was accompanied by several friends.

They scattered melon seeds and candies along the way.

The recipient was all smiles, and the kind words were free.

"I always said that Xiaohan hadn't gotten married for so long because she was waiting for someone better. Look, she's found Xiao Zhao. They're a perfect match, a match made in heaven."

The person who said that got an extra handful of candy.

"Who says otherwise? They even said that our Xiaohan won't find a good family in the future. That's utter nonsense. If they hear that again, I'll give them a piece of my mind."

Those around him praised it.

"That's right. Our young Zhao is so promising, and Xiao Han is so beautiful. Everyone who sees them would say they're a match made in heaven."

The person who praised them received another reward.

"Who says otherwise? If I hear anyone looking down on Xiaohan and Xiaozhao, I'll have to tell them back."

This person got two handfuls of candy.

Those around them watched and immediately began praising him.

Even the sugar can't disperse completely.

Zhao Jingping is not short of money. Now he doesn't need sugar coupons to buy candy. He buys only the best candy: milk candy, peanut candy, milk candy, and even chocolate mixed in.
