Chapter 35 Going to the Fang Family

"Huo Tingxiao, have Mom and Dad already left?"

The next day, Wen Xingyue came downstairs, where the Huo brothers were already waiting in the living room.

"Okay, are you all packed? Let's go if you're all packed."

Huo Tingxiao's gaze softened the moment he saw her, his calm and deep eyes filled with a gentle smile.

"Let's go."

Wen Xingyue jogged over to them.

"Sister-in-law, there's lots of delicious food for lunch today. We can have a good time."

Little Fatty scurried over to Wen Xingyue's side.

"Okay, okay." Wen Xingyue was very enthusiastic about food and immediately chimed in.

"Alright, let's go to Grandpa's house first. You two can talk about food together then. If we don't leave now, the sun will be rising soon."

Huo Tingxiao watched them quietly, and only spoke after they finished speaking.

"Let's go, let's go, it'll get hot if we go too late." Wen Xingyue was quite sensitive to the heat, so she immediately pushed Huo Tingxiao towards the outside.

Little Fatty followed closely behind.

The three got into the car and drove for about an hour. Looking out the car window, a beautifully decorated three-story duplex with a yard gradually came into view.

You can hear the lively sounds from the courtyard from afar.

"Big sister, have Tingxiao and the others arrived?"

Fang Yihan, who was helping out in the kitchen, heard the car outside and spoke up with a smile.

"It should be." Huo's mother, Fang Yixuan, was chopping vegetables when she turned her head to look at the wide-open gate outside the kitchen, her eyes filled with a smile.

Based on Xingyue's usual wake-up time, it's likely that Xingyue and the others are outside.

"My eldest grandson, granddaughter-in-law, and grandson have arrived. Hurry up and go out to greet them."

The kind-looking old lady with white hair, who was carefully turning the fried pork in the pan to prevent it from burning, turned down the heat and went out to greet him.

The two sisters glanced at their anxious mother, smiled helplessly, and then wiped their hands on their apron before pulling their younger sister out to greet her.

"Is it Tingxiao, Xiaojun, and Xingyue who have arrived?"

The mother and her two daughters came out of the kitchen and were in the living room. Mr. Huo and his grandfather, who had been kicked out of the kitchen and could only play chess, saw the mother and her two daughters come out in a hurry. The grandfather immediately stood up.

“It should be Dad.” Mr. Huo stood up as well.

"Quick, quick, it's been so long since I've seen my eldest grandson and the others, welcome them, welcome them."

The old man's stern face instantly softened into a kind smile. He picked up his cane and helped his wife and husband out.

"Big sister, brother-in-law, look how much Dad and Mom adore Tingxiao and his wife. When Tingxiao has children in the future, they'll be beaming with joy."

Fang Yihan looked at the elderly couple with their steady and powerful steps, her bright and dignified face unable to hide her smile.

"If you get married and give your parents a grandson, they will be even happier."

Huo's mother, Fang Yixuan, glanced at her younger sister, who was already in her thirties and still unmarried, and felt somewhat helpless.

My parents had two daughters, myself and my younger sister.

"Hey, sis, this is a new era. Not everyone has to get married. You guys need to keep up with the times. Besides, I'm great on my own. I can go back to my parents' house whenever I want, or stay in the school dormitory if I don't want to. I can teach the kids every day, and when I'm bored, I can go out and wander around during the holidays. Isn't that great?"

"Your parents have grandchildren too. Tingxiao is already married, and your grandson will be born soon. Then you can finally smile."

When pressured to get married, Fang Yihan's face stiffened for a moment, then she immediately buried her head in her sister's arms and acted spoiled.

I won't listen, I won't listen.

Who would be so foolish as to get married?

It's so much better to be alone. Why does she have to make trouble for herself?

"You always change the subject whenever we talk about your wedding. What will you do after your parents are gone, and after your brother-in-law and I are gone?"

As for her younger sister, who had never married, was always mischievous and childlike, and liked to act spoiled, Mother Huo reached out and poked her forehead.

Her younger sister is beautiful and has a good job, but she just hasn't gotten married yet, which is making Huo's mother very worried.

She's in her early thirties, but she looks like a girl in her early twenties.

"Yes, Xiaohan, tell your sister what kind you like. There are so many people in the army, let your sister take you to pick one. Your sister is so worried about you that she can't sleep at night."

Mr. Huo was also chuckling and making jokes from the side.

"No, who would want to find someone to control them? I'm used to being free and independent, and I don't want someone to control where I go, how much money I spend, and what I buy in the future."

"My sister can't sleep at night, it's because you, brother-in-law, are not doing a good job. You should talk to her more at home," Fang Yihan shook her head like a rattle drum.

"Alright, big sister, don't worry. I've been living a carefree life for decades now. It's only right that I suffer a little in the future. Not everyone can find a good man like my brother-in-law. There are plenty of two-faced men in the world. I don't care about entrusting my future to a man. I'm fine on my own. I believe you won't abandon me in the future, right?"

Fang Yihan rubbed against her older sister with a grin.

"If you pass away before me, and I die after you, then I'll trouble Tingxiao and Xiaojun to collect my body. Don't worry, I definitely won't let my two nephews help me for nothing. When I die, all my property will go to them. Don't worry, I will definitely make a lot of money while I'm alive and leave it all to them."

Fang Yihan said it without a care in the world.

"What are you talking about, dying? It's your birthday today, spit it out!" Mrs. Huo said, displeased.

"Yes, yes, yes, I spit it out—" Faced with her serious older sister, Fang Yihan obediently complied, after all, the bloodline suppression unique to her sister was still powerful.

"Alright, sister, let's go pick up Tingxiao and the others. I'm counting on them to sweep my grave in the future, so we can't neglect them."

To prevent her older sister from nagging her, Fang Yihan quickly pulled her out with her.

The car quickly approached the courtyard, and the three people inside immediately recognized the elderly couple coming out. "Grandpa, Grandma—"

Huo Tingjun couldn't help but lean out and wave loudly.

"Hey, Grandma's here." The old lady's brows furrowed with laughter when she heard her grandson's voice.

"Xingyue, those are your maternal grandparents outside. They are very easy to get along with, so don't be afraid."

Huo Tingxiao reached out and grasped Wen Xingyue's hand.

"I know, I know."

Wen Xingyue nodded vigorously, her eyes fixed on the two kind-looking elderly people outside.

My grandparents seem like kind and blessed people. I like them. I hope they live to be a hundred years old.

Wen Xingyue liked the two elderly people just by looking at their faces.

The moment the voice rang out, the entire Huo family looked at the two elderly people and Fang Yihan, who had come out with Huo's mother.
