Chapter 93 Am I old?

"Let's eat. We'll watch it after we eat."

Huo Tingxiao bent down and picked up the person who was curled up on the sofa engrossed in a medical book. The exam was tomorrow, and although the little peach blossom spirit said she wasn't nervous, she had been holding the book and reading it over and over again for the past few days, and even eating couldn't really attract her interest.

"There's just one more thing, just one more thing and I'll be done reading."

Wen Xingyue was pulled into Huo Tingxiao's arms, but she didn't put down the book in her hand. Instead, she lay in Huo Tingxiao's arms and stared at the medical book.

"Look, open your mouth."

Seeing how reluctant she was to leave, Huo Tingxiao didn't disturb her. He simply fed her with chopsticks.

During dinner, Xiao Taohua was preoccupied and didn't eat much.

Mr. and Mrs. Huo have finished their meal and gone out for a walk. Huo Tingjun has also finished his meal and gone to his study to do his homework.

So for a while, they were the only ones in the living room.

Seeing that she was curled up on the sofa and didn't want to move, Huo Tingxiao simply put the food on the coffee table. She read a book while he fed her.

"Eat meat."

Wen Xingyue didn't eat much for dinner; her first bite was of vegetables, and her little face scrunched up.

"Okay, let's eat meat."

Huo Tingxiao chuckled and picked up some stir-fried pork with chili peppers for her with his chopsticks, mixing it with rice.

"I want more."

Wen Xingyue had been studying all afternoon, and it would be a lie to say she wasn't hungry. But the exam was tomorrow, and she was nervous. If she didn't pass the first time, the next exam would be next year, which was too long.

With someone to serve her, Wen Xingyue was happy to be free of her hands.

She chewed with her cheeks bulging, directing Huo Tingxiao to put meat on her plate.

Huo Tingxiao's eyes never wavered in their doting affection, serving him bites of meat and rice until his belly was round and full.

After finishing her meal, Wen Xingyue also finished reading the last few pages.

After eating and drinking her fill, Wen Xingyue felt a little sleepy. She turned over in his arms, from leaning against him to facing Huo Tingxiao directly, and placed her cool hands on Huo Tingxiao's neck to warm them.

Winter was approaching and the weather was getting colder. Huo Tingxiao was full of heat, and Wen Xingyue loved to be with him. Unlike in the summer, she often complained that he was too hot and would often kick him away at night, not wanting him to touch her.

Huo Tingxiao, wearing a loose gray sweater, was lazily leaning against the sofa as she was pressed down by her, letting her warm herself by the fire.

"Huo Tingxiao, do you think I can pass the exam?"

With the exam approaching, Wen Xingyue felt nervous and unconsciously pinched his earlobe.

Huo Tingxiao stiffened slightly, but seeing that she was having fun, he didn't stop her.

"It'll pass, Little Moon is the best."

During this time, Wen Xingyue would ask many times every day, and Huo Tingxiao would patiently tell her each time that she could pass and to believe in herself.

"Really? What if I fail?"

Wen Xingyue couldn't help but think about it more.

Wen Xingyue was afraid of disappointing Li Tianbai's expectations, and also afraid of making a small fool of herself.

How could I, a mere fairy, possibly compare to a clever human?

Wen Xingyue has been in the human world for more than half a year.

I've met all sorts of people during this time.

There are clever and resourceful people, as well as hardworking, ordinary people.

There are all kinds of people.

Wen Xingyue would not underestimate anyone.

"It's still great that you didn't pass. It's already amazing that we dared to try. Besides, you haven't been learning for long, so it's normal to make mistakes. If you fail, we'll try again next time."

Huo Tingxiao grabbed her hand that kept pinching his earlobe. Without even looking, he knew his ears were already red, and if she kept pinching them, something bad was going to happen.

"Little Moon is very smart and capable, don't be nervous."

"Really?? Do you really think I'm that smart?"

Wen Xingyue really enjoys being praised; it makes her feel less nervous.

"Hmm, very smart, learns everything very quickly—"

For some unknown reason, Huo Tingxiao's smile deepened as he gazed at her.

"...You're not allowed to say that, I'm not talking to you anymore!"

Huo Tingxiao didn't say anything, but Wen Xingyue's mind automatically recalled what they had done a couple of days ago, and her palms felt hot.

She quickly covered Huo Tingxiao's mouth with her hand, glancing around in the living room until no one noticed, then she tried to shrink away from Huo Tingxiao.

They didn't dare to get even a fraction closer to Huo Tingxiao.

I inexplicably felt something pressing against me from below.

But before she could react, Huo Tingxiao caught her.

"Are you sleepy? Go to sleep now, so you can be well-rested for tomorrow's exam."

Huo Tingxiao stood up, carrying the person, and walked towards the room.

"No, you sleep downstairs, I want to go upstairs."

Wen Xingyue didn't want to stay with Huo Tingxiao, so she struggled to get down and twisted around wildly.

Huo Tingxiao is absolutely wicked.

"If you move again, something really bad will happen." The person in his arms squirmed and writhed, his anger flaring. Huo Tingxiao took a deep breath, turned his feet, and headed upstairs.

Upon hearing his words, Wen Xingyue dared not move, fearing that she would truly suffer later.

"I'm just carrying you to rest."

She stopped moving and nestled obediently in his arms. Only then did Huo Tingxiao look down at her and pull her closer into his embrace.

"Huo Tingxiao, you're already twenty-eight. You need to be more mature."

Okay, she had misunderstood. Wen Xingyue stopped struggling, wrapped her arms around Huo Tingxiao's neck, and poked his face.

Wen Xingyue wasn't actually unwilling to help Huo Tingxiao. Huo Tingxiao was already twenty-seven years old, a normal man, and it was normal for him to have needs. But unfortunately, she was powerless to help him. She was useless, and Huo Tingxiao just wouldn't cooperate every time. In the end, her hands and arms ached.

It's fine once or twice, but if it happens too often, Wen Xingyue's hands start to ache just thinking about it.

"..." Huo Tingxiao felt like he was about to choke on blood. "Are you saying I'm too old?"
