Chapter 154: The Weak Roommate Has Many Problems

After accompanying Chen Suizhi to finish his meal and clean up the dormitory, Fu Baoer returned to his own dormitory. It was just four o'clock in the afternoon, but the room was unusually quiet.

It was very strange that a few girls who had just met from all over the world did not get together to chat, but also did not make any noise at all.

As soon as Fu Baoer entered the room, she felt the atmosphere was terribly awkward. Zhao Lingrou was half leaning on the quilt, reading a book. Fu Junlan was knitting a sweater. It was not known whether she was knitting it for her family or finding work to make money. Wang Fang, Liu Ting and Qian Beibei were also sitting at the desks reading books.

It should be a very harmonious atmosphere, but Fu Baoer just feels something is wrong. Why does everyone have such a sullen face? Did something unpleasant happen?

Fu Baoer took the initiative to say hello, and several people responded, but soon fell into silence again. Fu Baoer walked to his bed and was about to sit down when he found a lot of things piled at the end of the bed.

There were books, clothes, and a few bottles of medicine. They were obviously Zhao Lingrou's things. Fu Baoer turned around and calmly said to Zhao Lingrou, who was lying in the bed next to hers, "Yours? Could you please not pile them on my bed?"

Before Zhao Lingrou could say anything, Liu Ting snorted coldly, "The eldest lady is not in good health, how can she pack up the things herself? Baoer, please bear with me and help me clean up."

Fu Baoer guessed that Zhao Lingrou must have had a conflict with some people because of this weird tone. "Whether you accept it or not, I'll throw it away if you don't."

Zhao Lingrou put down the book, her breath a little weak: "Baoer, I'm sorry, I was too tired when I was packing just now, so I had to lie down and rest for a while. I'll take them away now. Please don't be angry, okay? It's all my fault..."

"I've dealt with you eight hundred times already if you're still talking nonsense." Fu Baoer interrupted Zhao Lingrou's self-pitying words. It was too tiring to talk to such a person.

Zhao Lingrou panted every three steps and coughed every five steps. It took her nearly ten minutes just to take those things away. Fu Baoer's mouth twitched. Wang Fang winked at her, indicating that she should go out and talk.

The two of them were just going to fetch water with their kettles. Seeing this, the others didn't want to stay in the dormitory either, so they all took their kettles and followed. Zhao Lingrou was left alone, so she said softly from behind, "Can you help me get some water? This kettle is very heavy, I'm afraid I can't lift it myself."

However, no one paid any attention to her. They didn't even turn their heads and even quickened their pace. Zhao Lingrou bit her lower lip, feeling a little unhappy. After going to college, life was different from before and she was not able to adapt.

Zhao Lingrou was the only one left in the dormitory. She wasn't as weak as she used to be. She packed her things faster and stopped coughing. Except for her face which was still a little sickly pale, she was no different from a normal person.

In the water room, five people were drawing water side by side and gathered together to talk about what happened in the afternoon. It turned out that after Fu Baoer and Shen Suizhi left first, Zhao's father and mother settled their daughter and hurried back to work.

The things on Fubaoer's bed were simply not seen by Zhao's mother and she forgot to put them away. It was not what Zhao Lingrou said, that she was tired and did not clean up.

Wang Fang couldn't bear it and said that Fu Baoer's bed was made neatly, so it was no big deal for you to put your things here. Unexpectedly, with just a simple sentence, Zhao Lingrou seemed to have suffered a great injustice, and she sat on the edge of the bed and started wiping her tears.

She also kept complaining about a pain in her chest. Wang Fang was from Liaoning Province and was straightforward and loud. She quickly reflected on whether she had really frightened this delicate beauty. Wang Fang said awkwardly, "I didn't mean anything else. I'm sorry."

Zhao Lingrou kept saying that she was wrong, but she didn't get up to pack her things. Wang Fang reflected on herself and said, "You are such a bad-mouther, why should I pay attention to her!"

Later, everyone began to clean the dormitory spontaneously. Some swept and mopped the floor, and some wiped the windows. The air in the room had indeed become much worse. Zhao Lingrou's cough was earth-shattering, so Fu Junlan advised her to go out for a walk. She was not helping anyway and looked like she was about to die.

Liu Ting was more direct. She took out an unused mask and said, "Put it on and help us with the work. You should exercise more."

Zhao Lingrou was confused. She didn't know whether to answer or not, so she said awkwardly, "No, thank you. I feel a little uncomfortable and need to lie down for a while."

Liu Ting was just trying to annoy her and didn't expect her to really help with the work. As a result, when everyone finished cleaning up and the house was brand new, and they were ready to take a nap and rest, Zhao Lingrou started making trouble again.

She kept going in and out, and no one knew what she was doing. She kept making noises that kept everyone awake. Even though there was no dust in the room, she was still coughing.

This kind of noise is the most annoying and disturbing. Liu Ting tossed and turned, unable to sleep, her anger rising. "Can you please stop coughing? Can't you let me sleep? Isn't the air in the room good?"

"I'm so sorry... cough cough..." Zhao Lingrou stroked her chest, "I don't want this to happen either. If possible, I really want to live a healthy life like you guys..."

Liu Ting punched the cotton and had nothing to say. The others had to shut up and bear it. After a while, Zhao Lingrou must have fallen asleep and stopped coughing. The room became quiet again.

Fu Junlan turned over in the upper bunk, and the old bunk bed creaked slightly, making a particularly noticeable sound in the quiet room. Zhao Lingrou was closest to her, and she didn't like the jarring noise. "Can you be quieter? You're disturbing me."

......Fu Junlan was speechless for a while. She was older and didn't want to argue with a younger sister. She didn't say anything, but she didn't turn over either.
