Chapter 7 Why do you hide the delicious food?

Fu Zhaodi got up at five o'clock in the morning.

Jiang Fengxia rubbed her eyes and said, "Zhao Di, it's only five o'clock. Go to sleep a little longer. There's no need to get up so early in the winter."

"Grandma, I'm used to it. I have to get up and feed the chickens, light the fire, and clean the yard."

"What? You're only five years old, and you're doing so much work?" Jiang Fengxia couldn't believe it. "How could your mother be so wicked!"

In fact, Fu Zhaodi is not good at doing these tasks, but if she doesn't get up, she will be scolded as lazy, so she can only try her best.

Jiang Fengxia felt a pang in her heart, "There's no need to do this at grandma's place. Let's get some sleep."

Fu Zhaodi lay down with some trepidation.

After being woken up by her granddaughter, Jiang Fengxia lost her sleepiness. She put on the cotton-padded jacket she had exchanged for in the city yesterday. She felt warm and satisfied. It was much better than the tattered clothes with little cotton in them before.

She got up and fed the chickens and ducks, and took out an egg from the chicken coop. The ducks lay eggs every two days, so there are no eggs yet, but there should be some tomorrow.

With two more granddaughters today, Jiang Fengxia decided to cook noodles and save the eggs for later.

When Fu Zhaodi woke up again, she smelled the fragrance of noodles.

"Sister, it smells so good!" Fu Pandi sniffed her nose and felt like swallowing.

Fu Baoer looked at her two sisters and felt very displeased with their names. Zhaodi and Pandi sounded unlucky.

Fu Zhaodi skillfully dressed her sister and took her to the main room.

In the main room, grandparents were carrying the meal out. Fu Zhaodi's eyes widened, "Grandpa and Grandma! The food in our house is so good!"

The old couple looked at each other and realized that they couldn't keep it a secret forever.

"This is a gift from your uncle in the city," Fu Manshan handed the chopsticks to his granddaughter. "Eat it, but remember, don't tell your parents, or you won't be able to eat noodles this good in the future."

Fu Zhaodi nodded and couldn't help swallowing.

Three-year-old Pan Di was a little confused, "Why not give it to mom and dad?"

"Stop talking! Eat your meal!" Fu Zhaodi patted her sister's head. "Tell Mom and Dad that all this must be given to Chengcai."

Fu Pandi felt a little aggrieved, but the aroma of the noodles was so tempting that she sat down obediently and started eating the noodles in small bites.

Jiang Fengxia sighed. Her eldest granddaughter was only five years old, but she was so precocious. It was all because of the pressure from that family.

"Forget it, we can't do it secretly from now on. They will find out sooner or later. Just remember, if anyone comes to ask for it, beat them to death!" Fu Manshan said hatefully.

He had long since treated himself as if he did not have these sons.

Fubaoer turned over in bed and raised her little head. She smelled the noodles, vegetables and meat, and was very greedy. In her previous life, she loved eating and drinking, but in this life, she had to start as a baby, which was really difficult for her.

Jiang Fengxia went into the house and wanted to pick up her granddaughter. When she saw her like this, she couldn't help laughing. "Everyone says that children can roll over at three months, sit up at six months, and crawl at eight months. I thought our baby was so thin that it would take a long time for her to roll over!"

Fu Baoer thought, this was all thanks to the magical river water, otherwise she really wouldn't have enough strength to turn over.

Jiang Fengxia held Baoer in one hand and ate noodles with the other, and she would crave her from time to time.

"Sister, eat it!" Fu Pandi picked up a piece of shredded meat and handed it to Fu Baoer with great effort.

Fu Manshan laughed heartily, "Pandi, be good and eat by yourself. Your sister is still young and can only drink milk."

"Drinking milk? Like your brother?"

As soon as Pan Di finished speaking, the room fell silent.

Li Ying gave birth to Baoer almost the second year after she gave birth to her son. The reason was not for anything else, but because she was jealous that her second son's family had two boys. She felt that she was inferior to her because she had given birth to two daughters. After finally having a son, she couldn't wait to have another son.

Who would have thought that they would give birth to another daughter? This made Li Ying very angry and he insisted on selling Baoer.

Li Ying would rather let her one-year-old son drink a few more sips of milk than give Baoer a sip.

"Let's eat and stop talking about these unhappy things." Fu Manshan lowered his head and took a few bites, finishing everything in the bowl.

Jiang Fengxia also lost her appetite. She put the remaining noodles into her two granddaughters' bowls and said, "Eat more. You're as skinny as a monkey."

The two sisters hadn't eaten such delicious food for a long time. They were often hungry all year round, and they were a little excited to see that their grandmother was willing to share her food with them.

Fu Zhaodi hesitated for a while, but still couldn't help it and started eating.

"What a sin!" Jiang Fengxia patted Fu Baoer, feeling angry for her cruel parents.

Fu Baoer comforted his grandmother in his heart, don’t be angry, don’t be angry, our lives will get better and better, and they will be mad to death!

After the meal, Fu Zhaodi rushed to clean up, but Fu Manshan disagreed. It was freezing cold and the water was so cold, how could he let a child do this?

Fu Baoer looked at her sister's hands, which were red, swollen and covered with sores, and looked very pitiful.

"Let your grandfather clean up, and you guys go look after Bao'er..."

"Oh, you've finished eating so early," Li Ying's voice interrupted Jiang Fengxia, "Let me see what you've eaten!"

It turned out that Li Ying and the second son’s wife Zhao Li had come.

"What! The noodles you ate!" Zhao Li looked at the remaining noodles in the bowl and opened her eyes wide in shock.

Zhaodi and Pandi were so frightened by their second aunt's loud voice that they shrank back and dared not speak.

Fu Manshan put the bowl heavily on the table and said, "What I eat is none of your business!"

What an old fool, Zhao Li cursed in her heart.

"Mom and Dad, where did you get the flour to make noodles? Didn't you only take some cornmeal with you when you left?" Zhao Li was not giving up. Did they hide some food secretly?

"Second sister-in-law, it must be because you didn't keep a close eye on us and let our parents steal the flour from home." Li Ying was also very angry. They were reluctant to eat noodles.
