"Fubaoer! Do you want to go catch mice?" Erzhuzi's voice came before he even entered the yard, "What have you been doing at home these days? Why don't you play with us?"
"Here we are, wait a minute," Fu Baoer quickly put away the book, followed by Zhao Zhao, Pan Pan and Daya, "We will be there soon."
Fubaoer wrapped herself in a small scarf and put on a small hat, and motioned Daya to come along. Zhaozhao and Panpan were a few years older and didn't want to join in the fun with Erzhuzi and the others, so they waved their hands and said they didn't want to go.
"Come back early for dinner!"
"Got it, grandma!" Fu Baoer held Daya in one hand and Erzhuzi in the other, "Whose house are we going to catch mice?"
Erzhuzi pointed to the back mountain and said, "Over there, we found an interesting place. There are several nests of mice spending the winter there. They must have stolen our food and hidden it."
When Fubaoer went over, he found that several of his playmates were sticking their butts out and looking around, while holding small sticks in their hands and constantly digging something out.
"Why did the rat build its nest here?" Daya wondered. Usually they build their nest in the crevices of the wall or where they store food. Why would they build their nest here on the ridge of the river ditch?
Fu Baoer touched his nose and guessed that it was probably because the terrain here was high, so the water couldn't flood it and the wind couldn't blow in. "It must be a big nest, and there must be a lot of food stored."
"Fubaoer! You have a lot of ideas. Come and take a look. We have been guarding here for a long time, but those rats haven't come out." Someone called out.
"You guys are so stupid!" Fu Baoer picked up a small wooden stick and pointed at the rotten grass and leaves on the ground. "You know that a cunning rabbit has three burrows? This mouse is smarter than the rabbit. They must have more than one entrance."
Everyone's eyes lit up, it made sense, "Then let's split up and look for it."
It is normal for a mouse to have three openings in its nest: one entrance and two exits. One is for escape and the other is for breathing. Fu Baoer quickly found the place with his friends.
"Block these two exits with mud." Fu Baoer acted like a little commander. "Don't use urine and mud! There's water over there!"
There was no child of the same age in the village who was not afraid of Fu Baoer. Under the pressure of his tyranny, they had no choice but to obey his orders.
After the entrance of the cave was blocked, Fu Baoer took out a box of matches from his pocket and asked someone to bring some firewood. He wet it with water so that it would not catch fire when lit, but would emit black smoke continuously.
Several people puffed up their mouths and blew black smoke into the cave. After about ten minutes, they heard some movement coming from the cave. It must be that the rats were frightened by the smoke and ran towards the emergency exit, but found that the cave entrance was blocked, so they turned back in a hurry.
"Are you ready?" Fu Baoer asked his friends.
Everyone nodded nervously.
The group of rats ran to the exit, not caring about being afraid of the people outside, and ran towards the burning firewood in groups. The children who had been waiting outside for a long time raised their feet to step on these hateful rats.
Fu Baoer walked away from here in disgust. She didn't want to step on those stinky rats.
"Hey! What are you doing! How dare you light a fire in the woods in winter!" A sudden shout came from the distance, and Fu Baoer and the others were startled. The mice under their feet seized the opportunity and ran away.
Fu Baoer scratched her ears. "Why are you yelling so loud? How can the forest catch fire with her here?" They are the organized and disciplined Qingshan Village "Legion", okay?
"Who are you? What are you doing in our village?" Erzhuzi saw that they were unfamiliar faces, who looked a few years older than them.
The boy leading the group on the opposite side was about thirteen or fourteen years old, with a somewhat arrogant expression. Behind him stood three younger brothers who looked like they were looking for trouble. When they heard what Erzhuzi said, they didn't respond and just walked towards this side in a casual manner.
"What are you doing here? Are you poaching?" The leading boy nodded at the dying firewood pile. "Are you roasting something to eat?"
Fu Baoer also imitated him, with a very arrogant expression, "None of your business! This is the territory of our Qingshan Village, who are you?"
Nie Chenggang raised his eyebrows. The little girl is quite arrogant.
"Brother Gang! Stop talking nonsense and arrest them and send them to the commune. Reporting them will earn you a glorious reward these days!"
Fu Baoer pouted three times, "Stop scaring people, we were just hunting rats. This is a great thing. Go report it, who knows who will be rewarded!"
"That's right! Stop accusing me!" Daya put her hands on her hips and said, "This is our village's mountain. You barged in without permission. Are you doing anything bad?"
Nie Chenggang and his companions were from the neighboring Hexi Village, which was separated from Qingshan Village by a mountain. However, this mountain did not belong to them, and they usually did not dare to go deep into the mountain. Today, it was a coincidence that they were chasing a rabbit. Unexpectedly, they did not catch the rabbit, but met Fu Baoer and his companions.
A few people cried "stop thief", intending to take advantage of their age to catch the other party first, but they didn't expect that Fu Baoer and his friends were not only not afraid, but also very arrogant.
"Daya! Go get the secretary!" Fu Baoer pointed at Nie Chenggang, "Tell him to call for help to catch the 'bandit'!"
Daya let out a sigh and turned and ran away.
Nie Chenggang was anxious and said, "Catch her quickly!" After that, he rushed over first and stretched out his hand to grab Daya.
Daya screamed in fright and hid aside with her head in her hands. Fu Baoer jumped down from the rock, raised his little fist, and gave Nie Chenggang a Xingyiquan punch from bottom to top. Nie Chenggang only felt a hard blow on his buttocks, which was extremely painful.
"Watch this!" Fu Baoer took a horse stance, clenched his hands into palms, stepped out with his right foot, and slapped Nie Chenggang's lower abdomen hard.
Nie Chenggang screamed and fell to the ground, clutching his abdomen and groaning, "Ouch, damn, what are you guys still standing there for? Beat this stinky girl to death!"
