Chapter 3 Prequel 03┃ Genius Zhuang Li

Only then did Zhuang Li suddenly open his eyes and kick the coffee table beside him, causing it to thud loudly. He then pointed at the obscene insults on the holographic screen and demanded, "Yellow pig, who are you scolding?"

Two blazing flames burned in his dark pupils, and his pale cheeks were dyed crimson by anger.

"Take a good look at how the yellow pig you're talking about protects this world!"

Zhuang Li pressed a button on the control panel, and several projectors emerged from the dome, each emitting light to form a holographic image.

That's the Earth.

To be more precise, it is the country of China that once existed on Earth.

Mushroom clouds formed by nuclear bombs rose into the sky, destroying this once magnificent, mysterious, and vast land. As the mushroom clouds spread, small fragments appeared on the holographic image, which were the final images left by each Chinese soldier.

Each of them has a red button under their palm, and the other end of the button is connected to the detonator of a nuclear bomb or hydrogen bomb.

These soldiers all held high ranks, none below the rank of a general. These once resolute and brave men, fearless of death, now had tears in their eyes.

"On XX/XX/XX, at 9:05:24 AM, I, Li Wei, am executing Order 0001 on behalf of the East China Military Region. May our sacrifice bring eternal salvation to all humanity, and may my army live up to its mission! Long live China!"

One of the generals choked up as he finished speaking and resolutely pressed the detonator. His camera went dark.

Ten seconds later, another general roared, "On XX/XX/XX, at 9:05:34 AM, I, Zhang Yalin, am executing Order 0001 on behalf of the West China Military Region. May our sacrifice ensure the survival of humanity, and may my army live up to its mission! Long live China!"

He also pressed the detonator without hesitation and disappeared into eternal darkness.

Another ten seconds passed, and South China, North China and even the entire country of China were destroyed by the bombardment of nuclear warheads.

They knew that their sacrifice was for the survival of all mankind, so they were not afraid at all. They even felt it was their honor to shoulder such a great mission.

Watching their resolute faces disappear one by one in the camera, the audience who had been cursing just now could not even open their mouths.

People in the military and political circles may have seen this footage a long time ago, but it was the first time for ordinary people to see this tragic yet magnificent scene.

Only then did they realize that their survival was due to their repeated words of "fulfilling their mission." Even the collapse of the Dyson sphere could not overshadow the grandeur of this scene.

After the entire territory of China fell, a huge spaceship carrying Chinese women, children and young children escaped from the thick smoke caused by the nuclear bomb.

They kept asking for support from the federal army far away in space, but received no response.

A group of crazy male insects chased the spaceship and dragged it back into the hell of fire and smoke.

It wasn't until the spacecraft exploded violently in mid-air and crashed that the federal army responded: "Earth's nuclear radiation concentration has exceeded the tolerance of our spacecraft. If it approaches, our soldiers may be in danger. Therefore, after everyone's discussion, we have decided to abandon our support. Chinese people, please find another way. Your sacrifice is worth it, and we salute you."

In the holographic image, the spaceship carrying the Chinese people's last glimmer of hope only had time to release a lifeboat before disappearing into a thick, dark mushroom cloud. Meanwhile, the Federation's spaceships, hovering near Earth, departed one after another.

They flew towards humanity's new home and also towards humanity's new hope.

The holographic video abruptly ended here. Zhuang Li, previously impassive, now seemed a completely different person. His eyes were filled with hatred, yet a smile twisted across his handsome face.

"See? This is how you survived." He tried hard to control the anger in his heart.

"If my people don't deserve to live, then you all deserve to die!" He couldn't face these arrogant, stupid, ignorant and ungrateful people with a calm attitude, so he closed his eyes.

The anger in his heart made him grit his teeth, unwilling to say another word, and tears slowly seeped out from the corners of his eyes.

During his silence, the once-noisy livestreaming room fell eerily quiet. Those who had been clamoring for Zhuang Li's arrest and trial seemed to have had their tongues cut out by the devil, unable to utter a single word.

General Ford covered his face with his hands, unable to face the scene. He knew, he had always known, that the Chinese were the true heroes and saviors. They had sacrificed everything to ensure the continuation of humanity.

But precisely because this gift was too heavy to bear, and because the federal army's act of abandoning the Chinese survivors was so despicable, no one present at the time dared to recall those scenes.

They deliberately allow themselves to forget and even slander the Chinese people in order to gain peace of mind.

This behavior was shameless, yet also effective, and so gradually, the Chinese people's achievements were transformed into sins. They went from being the saviors of mankind to the destroyers of the earth. They became the enemy of all mankind.

General Ford shed tears in his palms, then cheered up and hurriedly sent people to check the status of the Dyson sphere. He didn't believe that the holographic image just now was real.

The audience in the live broadcast room also didn't believe it. They thought it was an animation that Zhuang Li used to stimulate everyone.

Zhuang Li's tears had dried. He opened his eyes, stared at a camera hanging from the dome, and said, "Poincare John, you should know what this is, right?"

He slowly held up a notebook. A bright red national flag was printed on the black cover, and two Chinese characters were written in gold ink in the lower left corner - Zhuang Li.

It was just an ordinary notebook, everyone thought so.

But Dr. John, who had been sitting frozen in place, suddenly lunged at the holographic screen, trying to grab the notebook. Unfortunately, no matter how lifelike the oriental youth on the screen seemed, it was just an illusion made up of dots of light, blurring with the slightest touch.

Dr. John's hand naturally passed through the notebook and touched a ball of nothingness.

General Ford looked at his old friend in astonishment, not understanding why he suddenly lost his composure.

Zhuang Li seemed to have seen every move of Dr. John, and smiled softly with the corners of his lips curled up.

"Do you want it?" His low voice sounded like the devil's whisper.

Dr. John stared at the oriental youth in the holographic projection with gritted teeth, and quietly tapped the intelligent computer on his wrist with his fingertips, sending a command.

At the same time, the photographer standing behind the female anchor suddenly pulled out a particle gun and fired at Zhuang Li. But unfortunately, each of his bullets was blocked by a layer of energy membrane, and not a single hair of Zhuang Li was harmed.

The photographer did not stop, but instead took out a gun and fired left and right continuously, vowing to penetrate this energy membrane in the shortest time possible.

The four flying cameras hovering in the air instantly turned into four miniature bombs, rushing towards Zhuang Li one after another.

This exciting scene stunned the audience in the live broadcast room.

Even without the follow-up of photographers and micro cameras, the monitors set up by Zhuang Li in the laboratory have taken over the recording of the live broadcast room, so everything on the scene is still playing out in an orderly manner.

Seeing the enemy finally reveal its ferocious face, Zhuang Li smiled with interest.

It was not until this time that the audience discovered that the character of this oriental young man did not seem to be gloomy. On the contrary, he was as fierce as a fire, and it was a fire with the smell of gunpowder.

He tore off the bright red national flag from the notebook, placed it squarely against his chest, and touched it tenderly, then threw the black notebook towards the energy membrane.

The energy membrane seemed to have a defense program set up, which ignited the moment the black notebook touched it.

Things made of paper always burn very quickly. With just a bang, a ball of charred ashes appears on the ground.

"No!" Dr. John couldn't help yelling, "Catch him, quick!"

The photographer received the master's order through the smart chip in his ear and immediately increased the firepower attack.

But that layer of energy membrane could never be broken.

Zhuang Li watched the artillery fire with near-obsession, chuckling softly, "Poincare Johann, without my manuscript this time, how are you going to continue this game of saving humanity?"

"Unfortunately, your Dyson sphere has burned out." He pointed to the sun projection on the side.

The recently completed Dyson sphere was indeed incinerated, leaving only a few scattered energy panels floating in the universe. This was a mega-project that had taken humanity ten years to build, and it was their last hope.

"Catch him, Ford, you must catch him!" Dr. John, who was desperate, grabbed General Ford's arm tightly.

Feeling the severe pain in his skin and seeing his old friend's extremely ferocious and desperate face, General Ford seemed to understand something.

He opened his mouth, wanting to condemn, but it ended up being a supreme order, issued to military bases around the world: "Bring Zhuang Li back, no matter what the cost!"

He paused for two seconds, then emphasized carefully: "Don't hurt him, catch him alive!"

Soldiers around the world began to take action at the same time.

Zhuang Li waved his hands in disgust, "I know you're desperate to catch me, but goodbye everyone, I don't plan to play with you anymore. This world disgusts me."

He pressed a button at the innermost side of the control panel, and the dome's projector retracted, turning it into a collider.

The moment the machine started, a dazzling halo appeared beside Zhuang Li. Inside the halo was the star-studded universe, the winding Milky Way, the endless darkness and the distant unknown.

Zhuang Li slowly walked towards the halo, murmuring, "How wonderful it would be if I could return to my country and see my compatriots."

The halo gradually expanded and formed a door.

Zhuang Li stepped in, then stepped back and said to the camera overhead, "By the way, I want to emphasize one last thing: the Chinese are the most superior race in the world. Even if there's only one survivor left, we're invincible. Keep going, everyone. I'm leaving now."

He waved his fist as a gesture of encouragement, then lowered his head and gazed affectionately at the national flag on his chest, and then disappeared in the dazzling ball of light.

At the same time, the collider could no longer withstand the huge energy coming from the other dimension and shattered into pieces.

The audience didn't understand what everything they saw meant, but Dr. John did.

He grabbed his already messy hair and screamed in a terrified and incredulous tone: "No, it's impossible! He can't open the passage to the higher dimension! He can't do it!"

But everything has already happened. The so-called impossible is nothing more than a set goal in the eyes of some people.
