Chapter 398 The Cursed Film!

"Yes, yes, yes, of course you have to come in!"

Xin Zhui and Tie Ruonan hurriedly followed him into Hall No. 4. After they entered, the door closed automatically with a bang. The theater was pitch black and one could not see one's hand in front of one's face.

Xin Zhui casually took out a lighter and lit it. The flame illuminated a corner of the theater. Looking forward along the light, Xin Zhui felt creepy.

"Damn it! Didn't they say everyone in Theater 4 is locked in and can't get out? Where are they? There's no one sitting there!"

Looking up at the area illuminated by the firelight, there were rows of empty seats, and there was indeed no one in sight.

Tie Ruonan frowned and said, "That's strange, where did everyone go? Is there another domain in the theater? We haven't entered the domain yet?"

Wen Xi shook his head and said, "No, there is no domain here."

He pointed to the screening room above, where there was still a little light, and said, "Let's go up and take a look."

The three of them came to the projection room. Wen Xi turned on the lights and found that the floor was littered with cut-up films.

"The film is destroyed?"

Xin Zhui walked forward, looked at the film on the projector, and wondered, "No, the film here is intact."

Tie Ruonan picked up the film fragments on the ground and frowned, "Since the film being projected is good, then what are the shredded pieces on the ground? Could it be... the extra roll of film that Sister Wen Xi mentioned?"

Wen Xi glanced at the fragments and said, "This is the supernatural film shot by Peter Yang. The film was cut into pieces. The film on the projector is the extra roll of film."

Xin Zhui was puzzled. "So someone showed this film that might be possessed by a ghost? Who would do this? More importantly, what exactly will happen if this film is shown? Where did the people in this theater disappear to?"

Without waiting for them to analyze the problem.

Click, click!

The film reel that had already finished being shown was automatically rewound at such a speed that no one could stop it.

The rewind ended, and there was another "click" sound, and the film was played again.

A beam of light shone onto the screen in the center of the theater, and countdown numbers began to appear on it.

3, 2, 1…

Wen Xi saw the strange vortex on the screen and his face changed slightly. "I know where they went. This damn thing is a cursed film..."

As soon as the words fell, a strong white light was projected. Wen Xi and others subconsciously closed their eyes. When they opened their eyes again, they appeared out of thin air in a wilderness area. There were weeds all around, and small hills as far as the eye could see. The cold moon hung high above their heads, giving people a weird and eerie feeling.

"Sister Wen Xi!"

In the distant pile of debris, she could vaguely see Tie Ruonan's tall figure, waving at her.

Xin Zhui was standing not far from him. He was about to walk towards him, but he suddenly stopped and pointed behind him in panic and shouted, "Boss, there's something behind you."

Wen Xi looked over and saw a black shadow appear behind Tie Ruonan at some point. He stretched out the shadow to cover him completely. When Tie Ruonan turned around, he grabbed him and dragged him away.

“Alpaca!”

In the wilderness, only Tie Ruonan's deep curse words were heard. The weeds swayed, and soon Tie Ruonan's shadow disappeared.

"Boss!"

Xin Zhui wanted to chase after him, but after taking only two steps, his face turned ugly. He looked down and saw something. He cursed angrily and decisively released the mist.

When the fog cleared, Xin Zhui also disappeared.

"Captain Tie, Xin Zhui?"

Wen Xi called out twice, but no one responded. The grass behind her rustled, as if something was approaching her.

Just as she was about to go over to see what was going on, a hand reached out from the bushes behind her, pulled her into the bushes and forced her to squat.

"Shh!"

Under the moonlight, Gu Shaoyun's frightened and panicked eyes were visible. Her light makeup was smudged, and there was a lot of dirt on it from somewhere.

She pressed her index finger on her lips and pointed to the place in front where Wen Xi had just been. A twisted evil ghost appeared. She crawled forward, with only a nose on her face, no other facial features. She sniffed with her nose and stretched out her hands to wave in the air randomly, trying to catch someone, but she couldn't catch anything. She angrily stretched out her claws to cut the nearby grass, and then crawled in another direction.

After the evil ghost left, Gu Shaoyun breathed a sigh of relief. Tears welled up in her eyes as she pulled Wen Xi and said, "Wen Xi, you're finally here. I almost thought I was going to die here. Woohoo, I never want to watch a ghost movie again. How can I encounter such a ghost in a ghost movie?"

Wen Xi comforted her, "It's okay, you did very well. Before I came, you were always avoiding other ghosts chasing you!"

Then he asked her, "By the way, where are the other students?"

Gu Shaoyun shook her head blankly. "I don't know either. We originally came to see a movie, but when this movie came out, it was different from the trailer I saw before. It started with this wasteland with nothing in it. Every now and then, a few ghosts would appear and wander around. I thought it was strange, so I planned to ask the staff if they showed us the wrong movie. But then the door wouldn't open. When we turned around, we found that the ghosts on the screen had gathered together, staring at us in unison, as if they could float out at any time."

Gu Shaoyun couldn't help but shudder as she recalled the scene. "Then...then a burst of white light radiated out. We couldn't help but close our eyes. When we opened them again, we were here. I called you for help, but the signal was very bad. I almost thought you didn't hear me. Wouldn't that mean we were finished?"

"Well, I heard your cry for help. Let's go find the others now. I suspect they were all taken to the same place."

Wen Xi stood up, glanced at the empty wilderness, and finally stopped near the small hill. He pulled Gu Shaoyun towards it.

Gu Shaoyun was panting, but her mood was much calmer. "Wen Xi, where are we going now? Do you know where the classmates were taken?"

Wen Xi said, "If I'm not mistaken, this should be a cursed film. There is indeed a ghost movie playing on the film, but this ghost movie is a real ghost movie!"

Gu Shaoyun took a deep breath. "That sounds a bit confusing, but I think I understand. So the movie we're watching really isn't the one you were in? I'm so pissed off! What the hell is wrong with this cinema? They caused such a dangerous blunder for us. When I get out this time, I'm definitely going to complain to them!"
