"Pah!" Before Kong Xiang could finish speaking, the woman in red spat in Kong Xiang's face.
Kong Xiang wiped his face and glanced out of the corner of his eye. The light coming through the crack in the small door was blocked by someone. It must be Bao Qianshan watching him.
Bao Qianshan was the Sixth Prince's man. Now that the Sixth Prince is dead, it goes without saying that Bao Qianshan is working for the Emperor and is still monitoring him. It seems that the Emperor still has suspicions about the Kong family.
Kong Xiang grabbed Hongyu's collar, yanked it hard, and threw it towards the large brazier. The red dress floated above the brazier before finally falling into it and vanishing instantly.
Hongyu was terrified, her crescent-shaped eyes widening as if they were about to pop out of their sockets.
With his back to her, Kong Xiang gave a stern order: "Guards, take the prisoner and ride him on the wooden donkey!"

Hongyu awoke three days later.
What came into view was a fiery red curtain and a slightly swaying red beaded curtain. This fiery red expanse resembled a huge brazier of raging fire. She was terrified. Turning her gaze, she saw a man in white sitting at a round table, writing.
With his slender and upright posture, smooth and shiny hair, and clear emerald green jade crown, isn't this Prime Minister Kong?
"Ah!" she screamed in fright and shrank into the blankets.
Kong Xiang turned to look at the bed and saw that Hongyu had woken up. He got up and approached her. "Miss Hongyu is awake. I have already ordered someone to prepare the medicine..."
"Ah..." Hongyu continued to scream. She had endured two kinds of torture, all thanks to Kong Xiang. Now that she was alone with Kong Xiang, how could she not be afraid?
She covered herself with the blanket, and after a long while, there was no sound outside and no one touched her. She peeked through the gap and saw Kong Xiang sitting at the round table writing again.
A short while later, Kong Xiang got up, picked up a stack of papers, and was about to leave when he pulled out another piece of paper, placed it on the table, and then left.
As the footsteps faded into the distance, Hongyu staggered out of bed and walked towards the round table, leaning on it to see what Kong Xiang had written.
As she watched, she pouted and tears welled up in her eyes.
