After Qin Jingru's repeated persuasion, Xu Damao finally gave up his idea of taking leave to come back and take care of Qin Jingru.
"Alright then, don't wander off while I'm not home!"

When the head of the propaganda department saw that Xu Damao was anxious, his smiling expression disappeared.

Xu Damao laughed and spoke so loudly that he made sure everyone outside the office could hear him clearly.

"How many months has it been?" the section chief pressed.

Xu Damao walked home happily, and when he got to the gate of the courtyard, he met Yan Fugui who was squatting there.
Upon seeing Yan Fugui, Xu Damao thought of Yan Jiecheng and realized that he was no longer the same person as Yan Jiecheng.
So Xu Damao, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, walked up to Yan Fugui with a grin.
"Hey, Uncle San, are you waiting here? Are you worried about Yan Jiecheng again?" Xu Damao said with a hint of schadenfreude.
