Chapter 502: Old Lady Qin Reports to the Street

When Jia Zhang heard that Bang Geng had stolen the things from Old Lady Qin's house in the middle of the night, she was overjoyed. She hugged Bang Geng and said, "Oh, my dear grandson, you are so kind."

"Tsk tsk, I stole your thermos. Let's see what you're going to have to drink tomorrow. You're going to die of thirst." Jia Zhang pointed at the thermos and cursed Old Lady Qin. The loss of money tonight made Jia Zhang's heart bleed.

Now his grandson can avenge him.

"Good Banggeng, grandma will give you money to buy delicious food tomorrow!" Jia Zhang was generous for once, and when he heard that he was going to be rewarded, Banggeng was so happy that he almost jumped up.

"Shh! Don't wake your mother!" Jia Zhang said in a low voice.

Banggeng quickly quieted down, as he was afraid of being scolded by Qin Huairu.

"My dear grandson, go to bed quickly. Don't worry about anything else. No matter who asks you tomorrow, just tell them that you didn't take the thermos!" Jia Zhang said to Bang Geng with some concern.

Banggeng nodded and went into the house happily to sleep. Especially when he thought about the reward that Jia Zhang would give him tomorrow, Banggeng became even happier. He was even planning to do something good next time to make his grandmother happy.

When Banggeng came into the house, Jia Zhang was so happy to see the thermos that Banggeng had stolen.

Suddenly, Jia Zhang's face changed. She couldn't leave the thermos here. It would be discovered immediately, and then she and her grandson would be in trouble.

Jia Zhang walked around the house for several times but couldn't find a suitable place to put the two thermoses. After all, they were two big things and couldn't be hidden in ordinary places.

Just when Jia Zhang was feeling embarrassed about carrying two thermoses, she suddenly discovered that her own thermos was exactly the same as the one at Old Lady Qin's house.

Jia Zhang simply put all the thermoses from Old Lady Qin's house together, four identical thermoses.

But when Jia Zhang looked at it more carefully, she found that the thermos were almost the same. However, upon closer inspection, she found that the thermos at Old Lady Qin's house was newer than her own, while her own house looked very shabby.

Jia Zhang suddenly had an idea and poured all the hot water in her kettle into the pot.

Then he took apart the four thermoses, put the inner pots in place, and finally threw the outer iron sheets into the pot.

"Swish, swish!" Jia Zhang picked up the brush and brushed the iron sheets of the four thermoses in the pot inside and out.

Jia Zhang was busy in front of the stove for more than half an hour. Then she took the outer skins of the four thermoses out of the pot, held them in her hands and looked at them carefully. Now even Jia Zhang herself could not tell which one was her own thermos.

Finally, Jia Zhang put the inner pots of the four thermoses back and placed them neatly under the table in her home.

"Whoever comes here this time, this is my thermos!" Jia Zhang looked at her trophy with great satisfaction. After finishing her work, Jia Zhang went to bed.

The next morning, when Qin Huairu got up to prepare breakfast for the family, she found that there were suddenly two more thermoses in her house.

Because the first step in cooking in the morning is to boil water and fill the thermos before doing other things.

Qin Huairu, with a puzzled look on her face, entered the room and woke up Jia Zhang who was still sleeping soundly: "Mom, why are there suddenly two more thermoses in the outer room?"

"Don't worry about it. If someone asks, just say that it was bought when Dongxu was alive." Jia Zhang replied and continued to lie down and sleep, no longer paying attention to Qin Huairu.

Seeing that Jia Zhang had fallen asleep again and ignored her, Qin Huairu went out to continue cooking with a lot of doubts in her mind.

Qin Huairu also had a vague premonition that these two extra thermoses might not have come from a good place. There were no two thermoses when she went to bed last night, so how come there were two more when she woke up?

However, since Jia Zhangshi didn't say anything, Qin Huairu had no choice but to continue cleaning the house and preparing breakfast.

But soon, Qin Huairu found out where the two thermoses came from.

When Qin Huairu was getting water from the faucet in the yard, she heard Old Lady Qin in the front yard cursing: "Who is the wicked person who took my mother's thermos? Who needs this thing? Why don't you go to your father's grave? You bastard."

When Qin Huairu heard this, she took half of the water and hurried back to the house with the basin.

"Mom, mom, wake up quickly." Qin Huairu ran into the room and quickly woke up Jia Zhang.

Jia Zhang asked with a look of dissatisfaction: "Why are you calling me so early in the morning?"

"Mom, did we get our thermos from Old Lady Qin's house?" Qin Huairu asked in a low voice.

Jia Zhang's heart skipped a beat. How did Qin Huairu know so quickly?

Then I heard Qin Huairu continue to say anxiously: "Just now, Mrs. Qin in the front yard scolded the upper class, saying that their thermos was missing! Mom, are they the two from our family?"

Jia Zhang thought about how she had already refreshed the kettle last night, and immediately said confidently, "What do you mean it's theirs? It's ours. Don't worry about it. Just go and cook your meal!"

"Mom, are you okay?" Qin Huairu asked, still a little worried.

"Don't worry, I repainted the house inside and out last night!" Jia Zhang said proudly.

When Qin Huairu saw this, she knew she couldn't take the thermos back, so she could only leave the house angrily to look at the two extra thermoses in her house.

Qin Huairu placed four thermoses on the table, and then looked them carefully, but she really couldn't tell which one was hers and which one was Qin's. However, Qin Huairu still looked at them carefully, in case someone had made some marks on them. Nowadays, thermoses are precious things, and children are generally not allowed to touch them, for fear that they might hit them.
