"What should we do for lunch?" said the deaf old lady after receiving the porridge sent by Yi Zhonghai in the morning.
"Old lady, please heat it up yourself. I can't be back at noon!" Yi Zhonghai replied.
Yi Zhonghai was also somewhat dissatisfied. Nowadays, most old ladies at home only eat two meals a day, but you are the only one who has so many things to do.
"Okay." The deaf old lady didn't say much in the end.
At night, Yi Zhonghai, tired after a busy day, prepared a meal for the old lady and went straight to bed.
"Why hasn't Yi Zhonghai brought food to me, old lady?" The deaf old lady muttered for a long time at home but no one showed up.
In the end, I had no choice but to go out with a cane to take a look.
When we arrived at the Yi family, we found that Auntie and Yi Zhonghai had already finished their meal, turned off the lights and went to sleep.
The deaf old lady, who wanted to knock on the door to ask about the situation, raised her cane, but put it down after thinking for a moment.
"Let me go see my grandson!" the deaf old lady thought to herself.
But when he arrived at Sha Zhu's house, Sha Zhu had probably been busy at the factory's small kitchen at night, so he had not returned yet.
In the end, there was no other way, the deaf old lady could only go back into the house and continue waiting.
However, when Shazhu came back, he had no idea whether the deaf old lady had eaten or not. He turned off the lights and went to sleep after he came back.
In the end, the deaf old lady who didn't get any food could only eat some cold leftovers and go to bed.
"Did you forget to deliver food to the old lady last night?" The next morning while having breakfast, an old lady suddenly remembered and asked Yi Zhonghai.
"I think I did. I can't remember. I was too tired yesterday. There's been a lot of work in the factory recently." Yi Zhonghai didn't remember whether he had delivered the meal last night.
"After you finish eating, send some porridge to Old Mrs. Long!" said the aunt.
"Okay, I understand." Yi Zhonghai agreed.
Yi Zhonghai carried the porridge into the deaf old lady's outer room and found that the deaf old lady had just gotten up: "Old lady, I brought you breakfast and put it outside. Remember to eat it yourself!"
Yi Zhonghai just glanced at the deaf old lady in the inner room. Seeing that the old lady had a bad expression, Yi Zhonghai didn't bother to pay attention to her and just left.
Originally, Yi Zhonghai had been exhausted both physically and mentally by the illness of an old lady recently, so he had no time to care about an old lady.
Originally, the deaf old lady wanted to wait for Yi Zhonghai to come in and scold him, but in the end, the deaf old lady failed to control Yi Zhonghai.
After Yi Zhonghai left, she had no choice but to drink a bowl of porridge with pickles, but how could the deaf old lady, who had not eaten last night, be full?
"I still have to go see my grandson." Thinking of this, the deaf old lady went to the middle courtyard and knocked on Sha Zhu's door.
"Grandma, you're here!" Sha Zhu was very enthusiastic when he opened the door and found that it was a deaf old lady.
"Grandson, your aunt has been sick recently. Have you gone to see her?" The deaf old lady didn't say it directly, but beat around the bush with Sha Zhu.
"Go, go, I still have to cook twice!" Sha Zhu said directly.
The deaf old lady's blood pressure almost rose after hearing this. She hadn't even had time to eat Sha Zhu's food recently.
"Your aunt has been sick recently, and I, the old lady, have to take care of everything here!" said the deaf old lady with a sigh.
"It's okay, grandma, it will be fine after a while!" Sha Zhu didn't know whether he was really stupid or just pretending.
"Grandson, please come back and cook for grandma when you are free in the evening." The old lady finally expressed her thoughts directly.
"Okay, don't worry, I will come back early when I am free." Sha Zhu agreed very readily.
The deaf old lady left satisfied. Now with Yi Zhonghai in the morning and Sha Zhu coming back to cook in the evening, it was acceptable for her to have two meals a day.
Sha Zhu really kept his word and cooked dinner for the deaf old lady for three consecutive days.
On the fourth day, he was asked to help in the kitchen, so he came back very late.
The deaf old lady waited for a long time at home, but Shazhu didn't come, so she could only eat something and go to sleep.
"What did my grandson do last night?" The deaf old lady came to the house early in the morning to question him.
"Someone invited me to your house yesterday. When I came back at night, I thought you were already asleep." Sha Zhu said indifferently.
"Don't forget it today." The deaf old lady gave Sha Zhu special instructions. She was still counting on Sha Zhu to cook, so she couldn't get angry with him.
"Don't worry, grandma. I will definitely not forget it." Sha Zhu continued to assure the deaf old lady.
Sure enough, Sha Zhu came back early that day and prepared not only dinner for the deaf old lady, but also lunch for the next day.
Now the deaf old lady's previous resentment towards Sha Zhu was swept away, and she thought to herself: My grandson is still reliable.
However, the good times did not last long. Two days later, Sha Zhu was arranged by the factory leader to go out and cook for others.
The host was quite nice and arranged for Sha Zhu to have dinner with the driver and servants. However, when Sha Zhu came back after drinking, it was already midnight.
This made the deaf old lady very angry. She felt that this was not acceptable and she had to find someone to take care of Sha Zhu.
"Xiao Yi! You have to talk about Sha Zhu. I saw you were busy recently, so I asked him to cook dinner for me, but you have been doing it for three days and resting for two days. I didn't even have any meal last night!" The deaf old lady complained to Yi Zhonghai angrily about Sha Zhu.
But Yi Zhonghai was as tired as a grandson every day. He had to take care of everything at home and outside. How could he care about the deaf old lady? He just said perfunctorily, "Okay, I'll help you deal with Sha Zhu later, don't worry."
Seeing that she had achieved her goal, the deaf old lady went back to her room to rest with her crutches.
