Chapter 104 Ending 1

Chapter 104 Ending 1

Following the kindergarten incident, Xie Shiyan immediately arranged for his four children to transfer to a top-tier international kindergarten that had only opened last year in the Crown Villa District. The task of picking them up and dropping them off was mainly undertaken by Xie's mother and Jiang's mother, who were full of energy, with Xie's father and Jiang's father sometimes joining in with a smile.

The four elderly people spend their days revolving around four little suns, their lives fulfilling and joyful, and even their gray hair seems to have lessened. Time slips by quietly amidst the children's laughter and the sound of their reading aloud.

Jiang Yining's career has also steadily risen. With her excellent professional skills and the implicit support of Xie's resources (although she never actively uses them), she has secured the position of vice president of Xingyi Foreign Language Translation Company and become the company's second largest shareholder.

After the children entered primary school, the villa became a sea of joy. After school, Xiao Xiao's daughter Xin Yao and son Yu Xuan, and Nian An's son Huai Jin were often sent to the Xie family to play together.

The spacious living room was filled with the noisy sounds of children chasing each other, playing, discussing homework, and sharing secrets.

"Mom...Mom...Mom...Mom," four clear calls, each with a different coquettish tone, rang out almost simultaneously from different corners of the living room, reaching Jiang Yining's ears as she returned home from get off work.

A gentle smile instantly bloomed on her face, as if all the day's fatigue had been dispelled by that voice. Yan Yan was the first to run over and hug her mother's waist: "Mommy, when is Daddy coming back? I miss him." The other three little ones also crowded around expectantly.

Jiang Yining counted the days; her husband had been away on a business trip for almost a week. "Almost done, almost done, just a few more days," she said, patting her daughter's head and smiling as she exposed their little secret.

"Are you missing your dad, or are you missing the gifts he brought you?"

At this moment, Huaijin and Xinyao also came over obediently to greet her: "Hello, Aunt Ning."

"Good boy," Jiang Yining said, looking at the two children who were about to graduate from elementary school and were growing more and more handsome.

"Don't go back tonight. Just eat and sleep here with Aunt Ning. Aunt Ning will take you to school tomorrow morning. Your parents will be busy until very late tonight."

"Great, thank you, Aunt Ning!" the children cheered.

As if by telepathy, the sound of the villa door opening came from inside. Immediately afterwards, a familiar, tall figure appeared in the doorway, carrying several exquisite toy bags in his hand.

"Daddy, Daddy, you're back!" Four joyful children's voices swept through the living room like a tsunami, making the crystal chandelier seem to sway. The four little ones, like birds returning to their nest, cheered and rushed to the door.

Xie Shiyan smiled and distributed the toys to the eager children, including Huaijin and Xinyao. Huaijin grabbed Yanyan and excitedly ran off with her new robot model. Jiang Yining watched the children's joyful figures, especially the sight of Yanyan and Huaijin running side by side, and her eyes momentarily softened with a touch of melancholy.

Xie Shiyan put down his luggage and walked to his wife's side. Seeing her gazing at the children in a daze, he assumed she was unhappy because she hadn't received the gifts immediately.

He leaned down and whispered in her ear, his voice carrying the magnetic charm and doting affection unique to mature men: "Wife, your gift... I'll give it to you tonight, okay?" The last syllable rose, leaving room for endless imagination.

Jiang Yining snapped out of her reverie, looking at the man before her, nearing forty but whose charm and handsomeness had only deepened with age. She couldn't help but gently stroke his still-handsome face, her eyes filled with a tender, nostalgic light.

“Brother Shiyan, looking at them, I suddenly remembered when we were little... I used to be like that too, always following you around.”

Xie Shiyan followed her gaze to the children playing, understood her intention, pulled her into his arms, rested his chin on her forehead, and said in a deep and firm voice: "Not just before. Ningning, in this life and the next, I will hold your hand and walk with you."
