Chapter 89 Travel 2

Chapter 89 Travel 2

The suitcase was already prepared in the back seat, filled with luggage that Xie Shiyan had packed himself—everything from sunscreen to a warm coat, down to the smallest detail. Jiang Yining curiously rummaged through it and found a box of condoms in a hidden compartment, instantly making her ears burn.

"Mr. Xie is very well prepared." She deliberately shook the small box.

Xie Shiyan, without changing his expression, turned the steering wheel: "Quality and quantity guaranteed, ensuring Mrs. Xie's vacation experience."

As the plane soared into the sky, Jiang Yining leaned on Xie Shiyan's shoulder, watching the city silhouette gradually shrink through the porthole. Work, emails, meetings... all of these were temporarily forgotten.

At this moment, she is simply Mrs. Xie, Xie Shiyan's young wife, about to embark on a journey.

The sea breeze from M City carried a salty, humid heat. Their villa was built on the edge of a cliff, with an infinity pool visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and beyond that, the jewel-like blue sea.

Jiang Yining ran barefoot to the terrace, the sea breeze blowing her skirt like a blooming flower.

"Slow down." Xie Shiyan wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his chin on the top of her head. "There's plenty of time."

Time seemed to stretch out here. They slept in until they naturally woke up and enjoyed breakfast on the terrace facing the sea;

In the afternoon, they went for a walk on the beach hand in hand. Jiang Yining's toes sank into the soft white sand, so Xie Shiyan squatted down and patiently brushed away every grain of sand for her.

As evening fell, they watched the sunset on the private beach, their champagne glasses clinking together.

"Look!" Jiang Yining suddenly exclaimed, pointing to the sea one morning. A group of dolphins were leaping out of the water not far away, drawing graceful arcs.

Xie Shiyan didn't look at the sea; his gaze remained fixed on his wife's surprised profile, feeling that this was the most touching scenery in the world.

At Ocean Park, Jiang Yining pressed herself against the glass tunnel wall like a child, watching sharks swim overhead. Xie Shiyan held up his camera, the lens following her joyful figure. At the penguin exhibit, she insisted on buying two plush toys, saying they were a pair and couldn't be separated.

"Like us." She tucked the little penguin into Xie Shiyan's arms, her eyes sparkling.

The culinary journey was equally wonderful. They squeezed into a local night market and shared a steaming bowl of laksa; at a Michelin-starred restaurant, Xie Shiyan quietly asked the chef to replace the cilantro that Jiang Yining disliked with her favorite basil;

The most unforgettable moment was one late night when they sneaked into the villa's kitchen in their pajamas, shared a box of ice cream by the moonlight, and laughed like two students skipping class.

The trip to the plateau was a spur-of-the-moment decision. When the plane landed at an airport at an altitude of 3,000 meters, Jiang Yining was struck down by sudden altitude sickness.

Xie Shiyan called a doctor overnight and stayed by her bedside, feeding her water and medicine, and wiping her sweaty forehead with a hot towel.

"Let's change our tickets." Seeing her distress, Xie Shiyan felt extremely sorry for her.

Jiang Yining shook her head, forcing a smile on her pale face: "I want to see the sunrise over the Golden Mountain." It was a dream she had since her teenage years.

The next morning, Xie Shiyan wrapped her up in a thick down jacket, like a dumpling, and carried her to the viewing platform. As the first rays of sunlight shone on the snow-capped mountain peak, turning the entire mountain golden, Jiang Yining nestled in his arms and whispered, "So beautiful."

Xie Shiyan kissed the tip of her cool nose: "Not even a fraction of yours."

A month passed in the blink of an eye. On the plane back, Jiang Yining looked through the photos on her phone—their intertwined figures in the underwater tunnel, their silhouettes intertwined under the sunset, the moment she jumped onto his back in front of the snow-capped mountains... Each one recorded the purest joy.

"Where to go next?" she asked, still wanting more.

Xie Shiyan was helping her fasten her seatbelt when he heard this and chuckled, "Mrs. Xie, have you finally remembered to spend more time with your husband?"

Jiang Yining leaned closer and whispered something in his ear. Xie Shiyan's gaze darkened, and he immediately pressed the privacy partition button next to the seat, blocking the flight attendant's view.

"Want to experience it now?" His voice was dangerous yet alluring.

"There's plenty of time to go home," Jiang Yining said, blushing as she pushed him away. "I'll owe you for now."

As the familiar city skyline appeared outside the porthole, the two sighed in unison. The holiday was over, and life was about to return to normal. But some things had quietly changed.

For example, there's the new "Monthly Date" reminder on Jiang Yining's phone; there's the new snow mountain photo on Xie Shiyan's desk; and there's their intertwined fingers, which are even tighter than when they set off.

The moment the door opened, Jiang Yining was surprised to find a pair of new slippers in the entryway—penguin-shaped, exactly the same as the pair of plush toys she had bought at Ocean Park.

"When will you..." she turned to look at her husband.

Xie Shiyan embraced her from behind and kissed her hair: "Even at home, there should be couples."
