Great life goals

Bei Yan's rosy cheeks and bright black eyes narrowed into fox-like squints as she jumped out of bed.

He sat up straight and beckoned, "Want to know? Come here, come here."

To everyone's surprise, Jun Lin obediently moved closer to Bei Yan, and the next second a pair of soft little hands landed on his neck.

Her body stiffened instinctively. She glanced at the little guy clinging to her, and, with the mindset of an elder looking after a child, patted the little guy's head.

"Speak."

Bei Yan reached out her little hand and pinched Jun Lin's ear. "When you pounce on someone, it means kissing, hugging, and lifting them up high."

His narrow eyes narrowed slightly, and after a long while, he said, "Children shouldn't be thinking about such trivial things."

Bei Yan thought, "A child? I'm not a child anymore, I'm already..." But when he glanced at his own small arms and legs, he swallowed the words that were about to come out.

Meeting the mischievous glint in those silver eyes, her heart skipped a beat, and she turned her head away, pinching her nose guiltily.

"What's wrong with a child? In a few years, he won't be a child anymore."

This was indeed the first little creature in all my millions of years that I felt inexplicably close to.

Junlin was still a little soft-hearted. He sighed and rubbed the little guy's head. "Alright, go downstairs. Children should act like children."

With her little head tilted to the side, she declared, "I won't let go! I've made up my mind! My life's goal is to pounce on you!"

The bright moonlight streamed into the room through the window, illuminating the little girl's rosy face. The little girl clenched her fists, her bright black eyes shining, her expression resolute!

Even millions of years later, Junlin still remembers this scene vividly, and he can't help but smile whenever he thinks of it.

The next day.

The entire Bei family was eating breakfast. Bei Yan was happily slurping down fried dough sticks and drinking soy milk.

"Little sister, what's this cat of yours?" Bei Yan came out of the room carrying a pure white cat, which made the whole Bei family curious.

Bei Yifeng, the youngest, couldn't hold back any longer and finally asked a question out of curiosity.

As if understanding Bei Yifeng's words, the white cat lazily glanced at Bei Yifeng, making Bei Yifeng feel a chill.

It was only then that I noticed the white cat's pupils were actually silver, and I suddenly remembered the silver phoenix that had perched on my little sister's shoulder yesterday.

"Oh, its name is Da Bai, my new pet," Bei Yan said casually, taking a sip of soy milk.

Last night, she complained that Junlin's phoenix form was too ostentatious, so she wanted him to go back to his brow, but that stubborn Junlin refused and insisted on staying outside.

In the end, when things were at a standstill, Junlin turned into a cat. Bei Yan was so shocked that his jaw almost dropped. He hugged Junlin and petted the cat for a while. It turned out that Junchen was just like Sun Wukong, capable of seventy-two transformations!

Upon hearing the name Da Bai, Jun Lin felt his whiskers twitch. Da Bai? The little guy's gotten bolder? He even dares to give himself a nickname?

What a rebellious little brat.

“Yan’er, your father and grandfather discussed it last night, and we agree to your request to go to Qingze Academy, which you mentioned before.”

"Huh? Didn't you disagree yesterday? Why did you suddenly change your mind?" Bei Yan asked, biting her chopsticks, looking puzzled and confused.

Yesterday, when I mentioned this to my parents and grandfather, my father and grandfather both firmly disagreed, and my mother's eyes reddened.

I almost burst into tears, but I quickly covered my mouth and dared not mention it again. How did I agree to it now?
