When Bei Jing returned to the Jun family home, he went straight to his room. It was already past dinner time.
She didn't plan to eat breakfast; what she ate that morning was enough for her to eat for the whole day.
As I passed through the lobby, I saw Junchen sitting on a black sofa, with a huge LCD TV on the living room wall playing the evening news.
Bei Jing stopped in his tracks, his lips twitching involuntarily. Sure enough, they were from different eras.
"You're back, come and sit down." Junchen patted the seat next to him.
After a moment's hesitation, Bei Jing finally decided to go over, but instead of sitting with Jun Chen, she chose a spot that was neither too close nor too far away.
Jun Chen chuckled, "Hmm? The little guy is quite wary."
"Have you eaten?" Junchen asked.
Remembering that his older brother had asked Junchen to supervise his meals, Bei Jing hesitated for a moment before saying, "I ate."
“Little one, lying is not a good habit,” Junchen smiled.
“…I ate too much this morning, I’m not hungry, I don’t want to eat, I’m sleepy,” Bei Jing answered truthfully.
"Go to sleep... What happened to your arm?" There was a small bruise on Bei Jing's arm, a very small spot that was barely noticeable unless you looked closely.
"Hmm?" His arm? Following Jun Chen's gaze, Bei Jing raised his left arm and examined it.
She must have accidentally bumped into it during the fight; she didn't even realize it herself.
"You ran into her?" Jun Chen frowned slightly. For some reason, seeing the bruises on that fair arm made him feel inexplicably uncomfortable.
"Probably, it's nothing, I'm going to bed."
Bei Jing didn't intend to mention the fight that had just happened, and in her mind, it didn't really count as a fight; at most, it was her unilateral act of bullying the scumbag.
As he stood up to take a step, his hand was grabbed. Bei Jing looked down and saw Jun Chen's fair, well-defined fingers.
He frowned, struggled for a moment but couldn't break free.
"Apply some medicine before you go to sleep, otherwise you'll get bruises. Listen to me."
It was a tone of voice used to coax a child.
Bei Jing was speechless. She wanted to hit someone, but her older brother had always said that one should respect the elderly and care for the young.
Junchen asked a servant to bring a small box. Junchen opened the box and gently applied the white ointment inside to Beijing's arm.
The ointment has a light floral scent, which smells very nice, and it feels cool when applied to the wound.
"Thank you." Bei Jing withdrew his arm, said thank you, and then walked towards the second floor.
Junchen looked at Beijing's retreating figure and smiled. Hmm, it seemed like he was being disliked.
"Second Master, Miss Bei just got into a fight."
A tall man dressed in a black suit, resembling a bodyguard, bent over and reported to Jun Chen on the sofa.
The bodyguard was struggling internally when he said those words; his expression was strange.
In his opinion, Miss Bei's skills were far superior to his own.
So why did the Second Master send him to protect Miss Bei?
He's more likely being protected by Miss North...
Jun Chen narrowed his dark eyes. "You didn't go to help her?"
The bodyguard was speechless. "Damn it, he's innocent! He did want to help, but he needed the opportunity first."
"I'm sorry, Second Master, it's my fault. I didn't have time to intervene; Miss Bei took care of it herself."
The bodyguard's words made Jun Chen raise an eyebrow. "The other party is alone?"
"No, eight male students." For some reason, the image of that blue-haired guy suddenly popped into the bodyguard's mind.
The way she hugged Bei Jing's leg and called him "Grandma" almost made her lose her composure.
"Tell me more about it." A hint of interest appeared on Jun Chen's usually aloof and noble face.
