Someone, bring the king a new table.

"Well..." So it is, and so it is.

Bei Yan recounted in detail how he got lost, how he unfortunately peeked at Jun Lin taking a bath and got caught, and how he coerced the eagle beast to take him back to the Dragon Palace.

Finally, he clenched his little fist and added angrily, "You ruined the whole thing, you god! Hey, what's wrong with you, bro?"

Bei Feng took a deep breath, his body swayed slightly, and his voice trembled almost imperceptibly:

"Little sister, help your big brother up, my heart can't take it."

He had suspected that Bei Yan had encountered someone from the Immortal Clan, and he had sent people to investigate both openly and secretly. He wondered why there was no news at all, and it turned out that Bei Yan was by Jun Lin's side.

He then grabbed Bei Yan's shoulders with both hands and looked him up and down nervously. He only breathed a sigh of relief when he saw no injuries on Bei Yan's body.

"Little sister, did Junlin hurt you? If he did, tell your big brother. I'll risk my life to avenge you!"

Bei Feng's face was contorted with rage, as if he would draw his sword and fight Jun Lin to the death if Bei Yan said anything.

Bei Yan quickly waved his hand: "No, no, he even gave me chicken legs and strawberries to eat."

Although it was a bit mean that the scoundrel wouldn't let me go out, to be fair, he was still pretty good to me. Even though he knew I was a demon, he didn't drag me out and kill me.

Bei Feng's expression softened a little, but then darkened again. He snatched the strawberry from Bei Yan's hand, squeezed it, and the strawberry vanished without a trace.

Under Bei Yan's accusing gaze, he calmly patted Bei Yan's head and lectured him:

“Good girl, little sister, we don’t eat the rubbish of the immortals. It’s just strawberries. Big brother will have someone pick a few baskets for you and send them to your palace.”

Bei Yan's eyes lit up, and she nodded happily. Only then was Bei Feng satisfied.

"You kneel properly, I'm going to find Father and plead for you. You're not allowed to steal food in the ancestral hall anymore, understand? If Father sees you doing that, he'll make sure you go to the Ghost Forest."

Ghost Forest is a forest in the demon realm, filled with all sorts of ferocious beasts and various poisonous plants that can attack people.

Bei Yan swallowed hard, a chill running down his spine. He raised three fingers and solemnly assured Bei Feng, who then left with peace of mind.

"What?! She ran off to the Immortal Clan's encampment?! And she's been staying by Jun Lin's side for so many days?! Well, well, she's gotten too big for her britches!"

Bei Zhan slammed his hand on the table, shattering the fine sandalwood table into pieces. Bei Zhan's chest heaved, and his whole body trembled slightly, whether from anger or fear, it was hard to tell.

Bei Feng inwardly cried out in alarm. It was all over. Seeing his father so angry, he knew there was no hope of getting his sister's help.

I want to slap myself for being so cheeky!

"Go, give the order: keep a close watch on that little brat. Without my permission, she is not to step out of her own palace!"

Bei Feng sighed, "Just as I thought."

Swallowing hard, he decided to plead for his younger sister: "Father, could you please not make my sister kneel..."

Before she could even utter a word, Bei Zhan glared at her, and she immediately swallowed the words back down her throat.

"I'll take care of it right away, I'll take care of it right away. Dad, please calm down, getting too angry is bad for your health."

Bei Zhan snorted coldly and sat back down in his chair.

Bei Feng walked out the door and sighed: "Alas, little sister, even your big brother can't save you this time."

He waved his hand and said, "Someone, get the king a new table."
