Childhood Sweethearts Attack (Part 2)

Childhood Sweethearts Attack (Part 2)

Jiang Yichun looked at He Yinxin's furrowed brows and clenched fists, and couldn't help but smile.

He Yinxin didn't say anything, but just lowered her eyes and continued to look out the window.

"Hmm? Lao He, what's wrong?" She pressed closer to him, blinking as she looked him over.

He Yinxin's fingertips clenched until they turned white, and she hummed softly, "It's nothing, I'm fine, baby, you don't need to worry about me."

"Hmph, you silly, stupid dog, I wasn't worried about you at all." Jiang Yichun turned her head away and broke free from his embrace.

He Yinxin's Adam's apple bobbed incessantly as her mind was completely occupied by the wicked and arrogant school bully.

A tall, thin man with black hair and fair skin pulled Xiaochun out of his arms and slammed her against the wall.

What's so good about this man?

"Jiang Yichun, you are my woman!"

This school bully would also flirt with other girls during Jiang Yichun's high school years. After searching all over the place, he found that only his childhood sweetheart was truly sincere towards him.

The key character who triggers this crucial plot point is himself, the "second male lead".

A prodigal son who returns is more precious than gold.

This school bully is probably the "local tyrant" prince of the county, known for his noble aloofness and coldness, but he will only smile at his childhood sweetheart.

He could also be a poor boy from a poor family, always with a cigarette in his mouth, silently protecting Jiang Yichun on her way home from school and fighting off any thugs who tried to get close to her.

If he turns over a new leaf, if he is healed by love, with the help of his childhood sweetheart, his grades will surely soar, and he might even surpass his childhood sweetheart and get into a top university in the country.

Even though his childhood sweetheart studied much harder than him.

As for himself, he was more like a male supporting character who had fallen from the sky, quietly and gently protecting Xiaochun, without the intellectual talent of a scientist like the school bully male lead.

Historically, arrogant and charismatic male protagonists have always been more popular with girls.

He Yinxin felt like she had been thrown into several romance novels, ultimately becoming a tool for the male protagonist to realize his own feelings.

"What are you thinking about, robot dog? We're almost at Qinglin County." Jiang Yichun's reproachful voice pulled him out of his daydreams from Yangshizi's novels and Koukou Literature City.

He Yinxin glanced at her, then reached out and took her hand: "Didn't you say you weren't worried about me?"

Jiang Yichun shook off his hand, stood up and went to get her luggage: "I was afraid you'd miss your stop and then chase after me crying, you stupid machine!"

"Xiaochun, what are you saying? How could I possibly cry?" He Yinxin's cheeks were flushed. Mu Mu stood up and took the two large suitcases off the luggage rack.

He forced a smile: "Let's go, I'm sure I won't miss my stop if I follow you."

"Yeah, of course, but whether you'll cry or not is another matter. I could tell you looked like you were about to cry just now." Jiang Yichun casually picked up her suitcase, grabbed his sleeve with one hand, and gave him a wicked smile.

He Yinxin pouted and said nothing, following behind her like a robot, reaching out to interlock her fingers, and walked out of the high-speed rail station.

His gaze remained fixed on Jiang Yichun, who was holding her phone and making calls in dialect.

"Hey, Yang, yes, just park at the North Gate exit, my boyfriend and I will be right there."

Upon hearing the words "boyfriend," He Yinxin gripped Jiang Yichun's hand even tighter, and the two walked hand in hand toward the exit of the high-speed rail station.

Although the scenes of those school bullies were still playing on repeat in his mind, a man with black hair, a white shirt, and cold eyes gradually appeared before his eyes.

The man was driving a luxury car, probably a Bentley, and was sitting in the driver's seat staring straight at me, as if he was about to tear me apart at any moment.

His Adam's apple bobbed incessantly, and he clenched his fists.

For Xiaochun's sake, we can't back down!

"drop!"

As the two walked to the exit of the high-speed rail station, a van honked its horn.

"Hey, Sister Jiang, you're here?"

A head popped out of the driver's cab window.

The moment He Yinxin met his gaze, all her fantasies about school bullies were overshadowed by the ochre color on the man's head.

The man had dyed his hair yellow, but black hair had already grown out from the roots.

He was wearing a black vest with a large dragon tattoo on his arm, and he was holding a bottle of soda in one hand, whistling at the two of them.

And the brand of that car... Iveco?

Is this the school bully's bodyguard? Looks like this Brother Yang is someone important!

He Yinxin lowered her voice and bent her knees: "Xiaochun, where is Brother Yang...?"

"Pfft. That's Brother Yang." Jiang Yichun stood next to him, his face flushed from trying not to laugh.

She raised her voice and greeted Brother Yang in the local dialect: "Oh, Brother Yang, I'm here. Open the trunk so I can put my suitcase in."

"..."

He Yinxin's lips twitched, and she remained silent, following behind Jiang Yichun. She put the two suitcases into the trunk and then opened the car door.

A little child suddenly jumped out: "Auntie Chun Chun!"

He ran forward excitedly, almost falling into He Yinxin's arms.

"Little group!"

The woman with black hair behind him quickly hugged the baby.

Jiang Yichun's eyes lit up. He smiled at the two of them and reached out to rub the little baby's face.

The blond man turned his head and smiled at the two of them: "Chun, you should know me, right? This is my wife and son."

"We've come to the county town today to check out our newly renovated house, and we'd like to pick you up on the way."

Jiang Yichun returned his smile: "I know them, Sister Yu Jie and Xiao Tuantuan!"

She smiled and pulled He Yinxin's arm, taking his hand in hers: "Brother Yang, sister-in-law, this is my boyfriend, yes, he's two years older than me."

He Yinxin froze like a statue, his brain, composed of sophisticated instruments, crashed once again.

School bully, school bully, so this is what school bullies look like in real life?

Where's the yandere, cool, and arrogant guy I was promised? What happened to this blond guy driving a van?

The blond-haired man raised an eyebrow at He Yinxin, took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, and handed it to him: "Here, brother-in-law, have one."

He Yinxin froze on the spot. He waved his hand and said, "No, no, I don't smoke, but I can drink a little."

"Alcohol? Brother-in-law, what are you joking about? I don't drink and drive!" The blond man laughed loudly. "Alright, I'm Chun's junior high classmate, three months older than her, and I live next door to her. We were in the same class in elementary and junior high. My surname is Yang, and my name is Yang Ge."

He really is a scoundrel; he made everyone call him "brother" right from the start!

He Yinxin frowned: "Brother? But I seem to be two years older than you?"

Yang Ge laughed out loud: "My name is Yang Ge, the 'ge' in 'singing,' you know what singing is, right?"

“That’s my wife. She’s two years older than me. You’re the same age, so we’re in a relationship where the woman is older than the man.”

He Yinxin froze on the spot, only able to manage a few dry laughs: "Haha, okay, then Comrade Lao Yang... hello."

"Pfft! Chun, your boyfriend is no wonder he was lured from the big city, he even speaks in such an official tone!" Yang Ge laughed from ear to ear, holding the cigarette behind his ear, his lean chest shaking incessantly.

Jiang Yichun gently took He Yinxin's hand and pulled him into the car: "Why are you calling me 'comrade' in such an official tone?"

“Otherwise, what should he call you? Calling you ‘brother’ is strange since he’s older than you, calling you ‘younger brother’ is odd, and calling you by your name is also… odd. So, the only option is to call you ‘comrade’.”

"Calling you 'comrade' is much better; it shows we're all equal and share the same ideals. Anyway, I support Lao He calling you 'comrade'."

Yang Ge chuckled dryly, speaking in somewhat broken Mandarin: "Chun, your mouth is still as sharp as it was in junior high. You've driven away so many men with your words, and after all these years, you've finally found love."

Jiang Yichun snorted: "I studied hard in junior high, unlike someone who skipped classes and fought every day, and ended up having to go to a vocational high school to waste his time."

"Tch, still as sharp-tongued as ever after all these years."

Yang Ge scoffed, lit a cigarette, started the car, glanced at the couple, then at his wife and children, turned back, shifted gears, stepped on the gas, and started driving.

"City folks, you're going to jail! The mountain roads will make you dizzy!"

"Oh, just call me Lao Yang."

He Yinxin managed a smile: "It's okay, Lao Yang, I don't get carsick very much."

As he said this, he secretly hooked his hand around Jiang Yichun's finger and leaned against her shoulder.

The two sat in the last row of the van, and naturally no one noticed their furtive little actions.

Jiang Yichun's ears burned a little. She took his hand in return and whispered, "What's wrong, doggy?"

He Yinxin's lips twitched, and she moved a few steps closer to her, whispering in her ear, "Don't call me that outside, you were a bit loud just now, there are people over there..."

"What are you afraid of? No one can hear us. We're whispering." Jiang Yichun chuckled, her hair brushing against his cheek as she looked at the blushing young man in front of her with great interest.

He Yinxin leaned closer, pressing his whole body against hers, gently nuzzling his head against her shoulder, and softly holding her hand.

He stopped talking and quietly clung to Jiang Yichun.

Jiang Yichun understood immediately, raised her hand to massage his temples, and sighed, "Don't push yourself."

He Yinxin's lips curled up slightly: "It's okay, I just wanted to..."

He lowered his voice and said the last two words: "Charge".

"So cheesy."

Jiang Yichun blushed again. She could only ruffle He Yinxin's hair, turn her head to look out the window at the still-present city view, and mutter to herself.

The car gradually drove away from the county town, speeding along the highway. Layer upon layer of mountains passed by the window, and patches of fields flashed before her eyes.

The only sounds in the car were Xiao Tuantuan's babbling and Yu Jie's humming.

Yang Ge seemed to sense that the atmosphere in the car was too quiet, so he spoke up: "Hey, by the way, Chun, how did you and your boyfriend meet? He seems like a nice young man, how did you manage to snag him?"

Before Jiang Yichun could speak, He Yinxin spoke first.

"It wasn't her who kidnapped me, it was me who kidnapped her. To be precise, it was all because of a very coincidental thing... ouch!"

As He Yinxin was speaking, her hand was suddenly and violently grabbed by Jiang Yichun.

"Oh well, we met in a really messy way. This idiot is really nice to me, and I... I like him too." She rambled on and on, then followed up with a question.

"And Yang Ge, how did you meet Sister Yu Jie? Compared to us, you're the one who got married and had children early, right? Oh, you're not old enough to get a marriage certificate yet."

Yang Ge coughed loudly a few times, almost losing his grip on the steering wheel: "How did you meet? We met at the factory, where else could we have met? It couldn't have been in college, could it?"

"She likes to go for drives, and I happened to have a cool motorcycle, so we met."

"What's wrong with getting married young? That's how it is in the village. Chun, you know, some of the kids in the village who used to play with us naked when we were little, one of them is old enough to run errands!"

"If you hadn't become a college student, you'd probably be married and have kids by now."

Jiang Yichun lowered his eyes, nodded, and said nothing more.

He Yinxin slowly opened her eyes, looked at her, and her gaze gradually shifted to her profile.

His ears were burning hot, so he could only hold her hand tighter.

She glanced down at him, then looked up again and smiled at Yang Ge: "Yes, thanks to going to university, I don't really want to have children, at least not now."

"Whatever, you're not me." Yang Ge chuckled, glanced at the rearview mirror, and whistled a few times at the little doll in the mirror.

Holding her child, Yu Jie smiled at the two people in the back row and said, "Xiao Chun, I actually envy you too. You studied well and went to a big city, where you can see more of the world."

I only saw those skyscrapers once, when I was treating my family member's illness.

"Although I feel that living a peaceful life here with my husband and son is not bad."

Listening to their conversation, He Yinxin felt a surge of emotions, and his sharp mind once again conjured up some philosophical thoughts.

He blurted out, "After all, different people have different definitions of happiness, and there is no right or wrong in this kind of thing. Happiness cannot be compared."

As soon as he finished speaking, there was a deathly silence—his words truly fell to the ground.

"puff."
