"Beep beep—"

With cars constantly flowing on the road, Lin Xing kept scrolling through her phone in the car.

There's still an hour before Beijing Youth Daily's holiday starts.

He couldn't wait to rush back to City A from Country M because he wanted to see Song Huan, and more importantly, to tell her.

He broke off the engagement; he was finally free from being controlled and no longer had to be with someone he didn't like.

I'm coming to marry you. The brightest moon hanging in the sky.

"Driver, I've paid you. I'm leaving now." Lin Xing closed the car door and hurriedly left a message.

The driver watched the boy's retreating figure and sighed, "There are still more than ten minutes until the Beijing Youth Daily holiday starts, this kid is too impatient..."

Lin Xingxian went to the flower shop and bought a bouquet of roses.

The roses shone brightly red in the light, wrapped in decorative paper that swayed in the wind.

Lin Xing nervously held the bouquet and stood at the entrance of Beijing Youth University, not feeling tired at all.

"jingle--"

Students carrying their suitcases walked out of the campus one after another. Lin Xing looked around but did not see Song Huan.

After most of the people had left, Lin Xing finally saw Song Huan.

She wore a plain white shirt and flared pants, which accentuated her slender figure. Her fair hands held a shoulder bag, and she wore a hat, making it difficult to see her eyes.

He called out, "Ah Qiu."

Song Huan looked in surprise in Lin Xing's direction.

After recognizing Lin Xing, Song Huan said hoarsely, "You're not..."

"I broke off the engagement, so I came back." Lin Xing smiled like a child.

"Then what are you doing back here?" Song Huan asked.

"I'll come back and marry you."

I'll come back and marry you.

Four words filled Song Huan's mind. She could no longer control her emotions, ran to Lin Xing, and hugged him.

"You proposed to me in such a simple way?" Song Huan joked with a smile.

Lin Xing patted Song Huan's head: "This isn't the proposal yet, it'll start tomorrow."

"It doesn't start until tomorrow," Song Huan murmured.

Song Huan couldn't sleep all night, constantly looking forward to the marriage proposal.

After countless internal struggles, Song Huan had no choice but to get up.

She sat at her desk, lost in thought.

It all felt like a dream; she couldn't believe that Lin Xing was really coming to marry her.

The boy she loved most in high school is about to belong to her.

Song Huan picked up her pen and wrote a line on the first page of her diary:

Life is like a puzzle with a missing piece, and that missing piece is you.

Her life was finally fulfilling.

The evening breeze outside the window rustled a page of the diary, as if rewriting a story.

——

The next afternoon, Song Huan waited for Lin Xing, dressed in a casual white dress.

"Ah Qiu." A black car stopped in front of Song Huan.

Song Huan got into the passenger seat.

"Where are we going?" Song Huan fastened her seatbelt.

Lin Xing started the car: "Let's go see a movie first."

They bought two tickets for "The Ghost".

According to those who reviewed the film, the content is very mysterious, and ghosts suddenly appear when you're not paying attention, causing screams to be heard from the theater from time to time.

But Song Huan found it very interesting.

"Aren't you afraid?" Lin Xing asked in surprise after buying some popcorn.

Song Huan, holding a bucket of popcorn, said, "I'm not afraid at all. I actually find it very exciting."

During her university years, she often watched horror movies with her friends. Sometimes her friends would scream until their throats were practically burning, but she would remain calm.

"The movie's starting, let's go." Lin Xing led Song Huan inside.

After finding a seat, Song Huan heard people in the upper row talking.

"That guy was so handsome!"

"He was also holding hands with a girl; they were a young couple."

"They're such a perfect match, that girl is so lucky."

Song Huan blushed immediately. She lowered her head, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, and chuckled to herself.

Even strangers think they're a perfect match, so what reason do they have not to be together?

As expected, when the movie started, several ghosts appeared during the opening song, almost deafening Song Huan.

"Sure enough, it lives up to its name as the 'Fear of Ghosts,' it scared people so much they almost turned into ghosts themselves." Song Huan laughed awkwardly.

"Aren't you afraid?" Lin Xing asked again.

"I'm not afraid, it's boring." Song Huan closed her eyes, wanting to take a nap.

Suddenly, a warm hand interlocked her fingers and held her hand tightly.

Song Huan opened her eyes in surprise and looked at Lin Xing.

Lin Xing grinned mischievously and whispered, "How about we do something more exciting?"

Their seats were at the back, in the far corner, and the hall was dark, so as long as they didn't do anything too outrageous, they were generally not seen by others.

Before Song Huan could agree, Lin Xing turned to the side and kissed Song Huan's lips deeply.

A kiss tinged with possessiveness yet tinged with awkwardness.

Song Huan was breathless from the kiss and was about to tell Lin Xing to stop when Lin Xing gently pulled open Song Huan's shirt shoulder, revealing part of her fair collarbone.

"Lin Xing!" Song Huan called out softly.

Lin Xing whispered in Song Huan's ear, "Does Little A Qiu want others to see her?"

"you!"

"Don't worry." Lin Xing gently kissed Song Huan's cheek. "I know what I'm doing."

Within five minutes, Song Huan had several hickeys on her collarbone.

Song Huan was breathing softly, while Lin Xing helped her straighten her clothes and then played with her hair: "Why don't you shout louder?"

“You…” Song Huan said, her face flushed.

Lin Xing smiled and whispered, "Don't worry, Xiao Qiu, I have plenty of time. I guarantee we'll have a child within a year..."

"If one day isn't enough, we'll do it every day..."

"Lin Xing!" Song Huan couldn't stand it anymore and interrupted.

Lin Xing chuckled softly: "Let's watch a movie."

Song Huan was no longer in the mood to watch the movie; she even felt that the ghosts in the movie were mocking her.

——

As the movie ended, people gradually left.

Song Huan covered her collar with her hand and left the theater amidst Lin Xing's laughter behind her.

"How dare you laugh!" Song Huan said, feigning anger.

"I'm sorry, my dear wife, I'll do it again next time."

Song Huan: ......

Wait! What did he call me? Wife?

"Don't call me that, who's your wife?" Song Huan turned her face away.

Lin Xing pinned Song Huan against the wall: "I've already called you that, shouldn't my wife give me some compensation? Call me 'husband' and let me hear it."

Song Huan blushed, but had a bold idea.

She called out, "Boyfriend."

Lin Xing swallowed hard, suppressing her impulse.

He let go of her hand: "Come on, I'll take you somewhere."

Once in the car, Song Huan asked Lin Xing where they were going, and Lin Xing replied, "To the beach."

The sun dipped below the horizon, casting its last rays into the sea. Seagulls cried out in the distance, and the evening breeze stirred up waves that spread across the beach.

Lin Xing held Song Huan's hand as they strolled along the beach.

"Ah Qiu, close your eyes," Lin Xing suddenly said.

Song Huan closed her eyes with anticipation.

After a long pause, "Open your eyes."

"Bang bang bang—"

Fireworks exploded in the orange sky, sparkling like fairies descending to earth, scattering flowers, and came into Song Huan's view.

Then she lowered her head slightly and saw Lin Xing kneeling on one knee.

His dark eyes were full of laughter.

"A vow made by the sea and mountains, unwavering loyalty, to stay with you until death."

Lin Xing picked up the ring box:

"Ah Qiu, will you marry me?"

I have seen lush flowers and breathtaking landscapes where the sky and water meet, but none of them compare to you.

You are the most beautiful scenery in my eyes.

The wind blew Song Huan's hair back and forth, and Lin Xing noticed tears welling up in her eyes.

"I do."

Song Huan's biggest dream during high school has come true.

We met at sunset and parted at dusk.

To make up for the regret, Lin Xing proposed to her at sunset over the sea.

This was one of the few truly beautiful moments she had ever witnessed in her life.

"Boyfriend, say something sweet to your girlfriend."

Lin Xing smiled and said, "Then call me 'husband' first?"

Song Huan smiled shyly, then whispered:

"husband."

Lin Xing's heart was pounding.

"Husband, are you trying to back out?" Song Huan joked.

Lin Xing met her gaze.

My love is overwhelming, and I am tender only for you.

"You are an irreplaceable and breathtaking moment in my youth."

"What should my wife say?" Lin Xing put the ring on Song Huan's finger.

"You and I are the perfect match."

"You are my only choice, and my first choice."

"I love you." Song Huan hugged Lin Xing.

Lin Xing also hugged Song Huan and kissed her forehead: "Me too."

He got the silver moon, and she got the stunning beauty.
