Let go
The next day, sunlight shone through the clouds and fell obliquely on Song Huan.
It's currently the long break between classes, and the corridor outside is very noisy.
"Huanhuan, the teacher wants you to go downstairs and show the new students around!" Xu Han, who had just run from the teacher's office, said breathlessly, leaning against the door.
Song Huan closed the book and gave Xu Han a slight smile. "Okay."
After going downstairs, Song Huan spotted the boy who wasn't wearing a school uniform on the playground.
that is...
Song Huan opened her mouth in shock.
The boy in the white hoodie in front of me is the one who bumped into me in front of the dessert shop yesterday.
It's just that I'm wearing a white hoodie today and a black hoodie yesterday.
The boy seemed to have expected this, and greeted Song Huan: "Long time no see, Song Huan."
"How do you know me?" Song Huan asked in surprise. She had met him yesterday, but they didn't even know each other's names; they were complete strangers. How did the boy know her name?
The boy slowly took out a student ID card: "I accidentally took it when I left yesterday, sorry."
The girl on the student ID smiled, revealing her white teeth. Her dark brown eyes were full of laughter. She wore a beige sweater underneath and a school uniform over it, but it couldn't hide her unique charm.
The name field is engraved with two neat and elegant characters: Song Huan.
Upon seeing this, Song Huan immediately stepped forward to snatch it: "Why did you ruin someone else's cake, and then you even took their student ID?"
The boy laughed out loud after hearing this: "Yeah, I'm just that bad."
The morning light shone on his thick, black hair, as if to dye it gold.
"By the way, my name is Lin Xing." Lin Xing snapped his fingers. "Nice to meet you, Song Huan."
"Alright, let me show you around the school first." Song Huan regained her serious attitude and began to introduce the school to Lin Xing.
"This is the laboratory; we'll use it for some of our classes."
"This is a library, which contains more than 56,000 books to help us learn more."
"This is the art room..."
Looking at Song Huan's meticulous and rigorous attitude, Lin Xing silently gave her a thumbs up.
As expected of Song Huan.
——
By the time Song Huan finished her introduction, class had already started.
"Let's go back to Class 6 of Senior Three," Song Huan called to Lin Xing to follow her.
"Report!" Two clear voices rang out from Class 6 of Senior Three, drawing the attention of students and teachers alike, who all turned to look outside.
A couple stood outside the door. One of them was a girl wearing a school uniform with her black hair tied in a low ponytail and her bangs covering her forehead, making her look gentle and lively.
The other boy wore a white hoodie, his short, dark hair styled in a side part, his dark eyes holding a gentle yet mostly aloof expression. His long, slender, pale fingers toyed with the hoodie's straps, making him look like a haughty prince.
The students chattered excitedly. Teacher Chen, standing on the podium, recognized Lin Xing and took the opportunity to introduce him: "This is Lin Xing, our newest student. Let's give him a round of applause."
After a few seconds of stunned silence, the students in the class gradually began to applaud.
Lin Xing smiled, and Song Huan noticed out of the corner of her eye that Lin Xing had a small dimple on the right side of her mouth when she smiled.
It's very pretty and cute.
Teacher Chen coughed twice and said to Lin Xing, "Lin Xing, go to the back row and find a seat." Then he said to Song Huan, "Go back to your seat."
Song Huan and Lin Xing walked in this direction.
There are six groups in the class, with four rows of desks in each group. Song Huan's seat is in the third row of the first group, by the window.
She liked the window seat because the morning and evening sunlight shining through the window onto the yellowed pages of her book made her feel warm.
Song Huan sat down in her seat, while Lin Xing sat behind her.
Song Huan could see what Lin Xing was doing by looking at the reflection on Xu Hanhan's desk.
She noticed that after Lin Xing tidied up the place, he gently stroked her clothes with his fair fingers.
A blush instantly spread across Song Huan's fair face. She felt breathless and dared not move for a moment.
Suddenly, Lin Xing's gaze shifted and met the small mirror on the table, where she saw Song Huan's face, which was as red as an apple.
After a few seconds of eye contact, the two awkwardly looked away, and Lin Xing put his hands down and began to listen to the lesson.
During class, Song Huan received a note from her deskmate, Xu Han.
The message reads: Huanhuan, why is your face so red? Are you smitten with the handsome guy behind you? (ω) Hey!
Upon seeing this, Song Huan blushed even more, looking like a drunkard. She wrote: "Don't be infatuated!!! Whoever is smitten, your task now is to study hard."
She even added three exclamation marks after "Don't be a fangirl".
While the teacher turned her head away, Song Huan tossed the note to Xu Han.
After a while, Xu Han passed the note back: Yes, yes, the top student should study hard.
......
Song Huan put the note away and ignored Xu Han.
Unbeknownst to her, Lin Xing, who sat behind her, was looking at her with tenderness, as if she were a treasure.
