Episode 16

Episode 16

Ke Xin felt dizzy all night long. She glanced at the clock and it was still four in the morning.

It's strange, why does she always wake up at four in the morning lately?

Ke Xin looked at Bao Bao who was sleeping soundly beside her. The wind was a little cold in the early morning.

After tucking the quilt for Bao Bao, Ke Xin lay on her side, with Fu Xuan's shadow still lingering in her mind.

Ke Xin was a thoughtful person. The ambiguous situation during the day made her think about her future with Fu Xuan. The more she thought about it, the more inferior Ke Xin felt. How could he, a tall, rich and handsome man, be interested in her, a divorced woman with children? A thought flashed through Ke Xin's mind, and she became much more sober in an instant. Even though she had never been married and had no children, she and Fu Xuan were not a good match as she was born in a poor family.

Even if they are really together, it is most likely just a play between rich kids.

Ke Xin opened the curtains, and the originally gray room was suddenly filled with bright moonlight, which reflected on Ke Xin's face, softening her facial features.

Then, in the moonlight, Ke Xin looked around, her eyes fell on the square totems on the curtains. She couldn't help but wonder, are these the decoration styles chosen by Fu Xuan himself? Does he like beige? What kind of food and sports does he like? And does he like her?

Thinking of the last question, Ke Xin broke out in a cold sweat and couldn't help blaming herself: Ke Xin, please don't be in love anymore. You two are just in a relationship for one night, please don't think too much, okay?

But why did she burst into tears when she thought of this? Ke Xin hurriedly wiped away the tears on her face, but the more she wiped, the more tears came. Finally, she simply gave up and burst into tears.

The next morning, Ke Xin's numb and cold face returned to normal. She got up, packed her luggage, and took Bao Bao to the kindergarten under the watchful eyes of Aunt Fang. Then she went directly to the rental house she had rented in advance.

Without having time to think too much, Ke Xin hurriedly sent a thank-you text message to Fu Xuan, and stated that she had returned to the rental house, then hurriedly began to make the sweet soup for the stall.

Because of Weijie's matter, she has delayed her stall for two days. The most taboo in doing business is to fish for three days and dry the net for two days. She cannot lose the repeat customers she has worked so hard to accumulate because of her delay.

She posted her stall opening time in the work group, and as soon as the message was sent out, the group quickly exploded.

"Oh my god, Ke Xin, we all know about your situation. It's not easy for you. When you open a stall, we will definitely take good care of your business."

Yes, her account has gained one million followers, and it is hard for her affairs not to be known. She never thought that she would become famous in this way, but for the sake of her daughter, she can only bite the bullet and move forward.

They agreed to open the stall at 2 pm, and as expected, Ke Xin's stall was quickly sold out.

There were even some people who claimed to be agents from media companies, saying they wanted to sign Ke Xin and tailor-make her debut as an internet celebrity.

Out of caution, Ke Xin left her contact information and wanted to go back and discuss with Jia Qi before making a decision.

After everything was done, I saw Fu Xuan's text message: "Why did you leave? Are you okay with your injuries? Actually, you could have stayed here forever."

When Ke Xin saw this message, she held her breath and replied, "No, you're all good, everything's fine. It's just that I'm afraid of causing you too much trouble. Besides, I've already rented a house, and it would be a waste to stay here!"

After the message is sent, a naughty emoticon package is attached at the end!

When Fu Xuan received the text message, Wu Yue was holding up the video on her phone and moving it towards him. "This is the video of Ke Xin beating her ex-husband with a bottle. I didn't expect that she looked so gentle, but she was actually quite ruthless!"

The most exciting and highlight scene as soon as the whole video opens is Ke Xin staring with her eyes, casually picked up a wine bottle from the table with her left hand, took three or two steps majestically, and shot Weijie in the head with a quick, accurate and ruthless shot. Immediately, fragments flew all over the sky, and blood spurted out of Weijie's head on the spot.

This scene was quickly edited and forwarded, with a variety of comments, and the words "role model of our generation" dominated the comment section.

Fu Xuan scoffed and threw his phone away: "Interesting!"

Wu Yue took the phone that Fu Xuan threw over and said subconsciously, "Boss Fu, should we get rid of this guy so that he won't be an eyesore?"

He had wanted to do it a long time ago, but thinking that he was Bao Bao's father after all, Fu Xuan retracted his fierce gaze, his eyes fixed on the rustling of the wind outside the French window. He took a sip of tea and said slowly, "It depends on Ke Xin's opinion!"

At this point, Fu Xuan frowned and asked, "You said a woman, when you first met you, was free and easy, a true queen, and did things quickly and efficiently. Why did she become shy and weak when you met her again later?"

When he asked this question, his mind naturally flashed back to the scene when he and Ke Xin first met, which was both shocking and exciting to him. If reality had not allowed him to encounter these two scenes, it would have been difficult for him to combine the two sides of the two people.

Wu Yue pinched his chin, looking thoughtful. "If this person hasn't been traumatized by a major incident, then it's possible he's suffering from schizophrenia!"

Thinking of Ke Xin, Wu Yue naturally thought of the former and couldn't help but say, "It seems that divorce is quite a shock to a woman!"

Fu Xuan clenched his fists and said through gritted teeth, "Speaking of divorce, divorce is too common nowadays. I don't think so!"

"Ahh!" Ke Xin on the other side couldn't help but sneeze a few times, "Oh my god, is someone missing me?"

Bao Bao looked up: "Mom, shouldn't I be scolding you for sneezing?"

Ke Xin rubbed the tip of her nose and then reached out to rub the top of her bloated head: "Yeah, there are a lot of people scolding me now!"

After hearing the props, Bao Bao patted his chest and said with all his strength: "It's okay, Mom, I will protect you!"

"Tsk," Ke Xin chuckled and pulled Bao Bao into the rental house.

"Mom, why do we have to come here? I don't like living here. I prefer living at Uncle Fu Xuan's house." Bao Bao followed Ke Xin and stepped into the rental house obediently, with a bulging mouth and disappointment written all over his innocent face.

Ke Xin pulled Bao Bao into the house, and they obviously felt it was cramped. The bed in the bedroom was made of simple wood. When people turned over slightly on it, the bed would creak and make a sound of wood being dislocated. What Bao Bao could not stand the most was that there was no TV or study desk in the room.

"Baobao, after mom finishes some things and gets some money, we'll move to a new home, okay?" Ke Xin smiled helplessly.

"Okay, Mom, you do your best." Although Baobao had a look of dissatisfaction on her face, she also knew that her mother's life was not easy, so she opened her schoolbag and took out her homework book to start doing her homework while her mother was cleaning the house, sweeping the floor and cooking.

Ke Xin knew very well that Bao Bao was more sensible and mature than her peers. Just like when she was young, after seeing her father beating her mother, overnight she seemed to have become as mature and sensible as Bao Bao is today.

She was also a daughter, and she once swore that she would never live in a family like her mother's. Unexpectedly, when she grew up, she unknowingly became the person she hated the most, and even dragged her daughter into the water.

Thinking of this, Ke Xin felt depressed and anxious in her heart. Fortunately, she was not too cowardly. At least she stood up bravely and did not act like her mother or Xianglin Sao, who did not know how to fight back. At least she resisted, took action, and took her daughter out of this cage-like home. Although it was insignificant, it was also something to be proud of for her.

Dinner was a simple dish of stir-fried water spinach with garlic and a plate of bitter melon fried egg.

When Ke Xin put the dishes on the table, Bao Bao had just finished his homework.

Baobao looked at the simple dishes and thought of the candied pork ribs, fried clams, and some expensive pastries he had eaten at Uncle Fu Xuan's house yesterday. He couldn't help but feel disappointed, but in order not to make his mother feel bad, Baobao took a bite of the bitter melon omelet. The bitterness of the bitter melon instantly swept across his tongue. Seeing his mother toiling for a long time, Baobao swallowed the bitterness in his throat, took a big sip of the light porridge, pretended to be excited, gave his mother a thumbs up and praised, "Mom, your cooking is delicious, much better than other restaurants."

"It's delicious, eat more." Ke Xinla took a mouthful of porridge. After being praised by Baobao, he couldn't help but put a few more pieces of vegetables into Baobao's bowl.

After dinner, Jiaqi called.

Ke Xin had just finished the call when Jia Qi yelled at her from the other end, "Ke Xin, come on, you actually moved out of Fu Xuan's house!"

"After all, I have no right to leave. How can I stay here?" Ke Xin muttered. Speak of the devil and he will appear. Jia Qi hung up the phone and looked into Ke Xin's eyes.

"Have you eaten yet? If not, I'll give you another bowl of rice." Seeing this, Ke Xin didn't ask why and stood up directly. Before she even took the bowl, Jia Qi stared at the plate of bitter melon scrambled eggs on the table and couldn't help but glared at Ke Xin: "You really are forcing yourself to eat bitter food!"

Bao Bao dragged the bowl in his hand, staring at the bitter melon on the table with a confused look on his face, and then muttered: "Aunt Jiaqi, what do you mean by eating bitter food without bitterness?"

"You've asked the right person," Jiaqi said, her temper rising. She clasped her hands together, staring at Kexin's face and saying, "To endure hardship without suffering is to endure hardship without suffering. Some people insist on being flattered and endure it to the bitter end, then boast of their noble character!"

Ke Xin put down her bowl and chopsticks, glared at her, and said, "It's better for some people to suffer than for you to be hungry and not even have a meal to eat!"

The tension between them was building. Jiaqi stamped her feet and said bluntly, "Okay, okay, don't eat this bitter melon. It's my boyfriend's birthday today, so I'm taking you guys out for a nice meal!"

Bao Bao's eyes suddenly lit up: "Feast!"

"Where?" Ke Xin asked subconsciously.

"Of course it's Xiangshan Villa!"

When the three of them got into Jiaqi's Toyota, Jiaqi couldn't help but ask, "Kexin, what kind of relationship do you think is the best?", looking at the neon lights everywhere outside the car window.
