Chapter 62 Hidden Sect

ā€œI’m getting old, and the Hidden Sect needs a young person.ā€ Old Master Sun looked at the token in his hand and pondered for a moment before saying this.

"I can't go on." His body no longer has the strength it once did when he was young.

His voice became hoarse and low, but his eyes were full of determination and resolve.

"The Hidden Sect needs a more powerful leader, and I must entrust it to someone trustworthy."

Old Master Sun gripped the token tightly, as if he wanted to hold the fate of the Hidden Sect firmly in his hands.

Chu Ran felt a sense of powerlessness; the Hidden Sect was no longer as spirited as it had been ten years ago.

"Since you have decided to let Miss Li take over the Hidden Sect, I will assist her well." Chu Ran is the hall master of the Hidden Sect, whose status is second only to the sect master.

She was not angry that the sect leader did not choose her to succeed the Hidden Sect.

She has had some difficulty handling sect affairs in recent years, and most importantly, her martial arts skills are mediocre and not enough to win over the masses.

"I'm relieved to have your guarantee. It will still take a few more years for her to grow up." Old Master Sun has lost a lot over the years for the Hidden Sect.

He also wanted to retire and enjoy the life surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

"Sect Master, Miss Li is indeed a martial arts prodigy. Her internal strength is domineering and profound, unlike that of ordinary people. If she can grow up, she will surely be able to surpass all the sects."

The strength of Jingyuan Kingdom is partly due to the support of various sects in the martial arts world.

The various sects and factions in the martial arts world, also known as the martial arts community, are an important part of the Jingyuan Kingdom.

The reason this country is so powerful is largely because it has received strong support from various martial arts sects.

In Jingyuan, martial arts sects are a very important force in society. They not only possess powerful martial arts skills, but also have extensive networks and social connections.

These sects played a crucial role in the stability and prosperity of the nation. The reason why Jingyuan Kingdom was able to remain strong and prosperous was largely due to its close ties with various sects in the martial arts world.

These schools of thought have played a positive role in promoting the country's development.

Ten years ago, the Hidden Sect ranked among the top three in the martial arts world. However, ten years ago, they suffered heavy losses due to being hunted down by a mysterious organization.

Old Sun's first wife was killed in that chaotic battle. For the safety of his children and grandchildren, he cruelly sent them to a foreign land.

He has been alone for ten years.

Over the past ten years, he has devoted a great deal of effort to reorganizing the Hidden Sect, and now the Hidden Sect is showing some improvement.

However, he was already old and his health was declining.

"I understand, Sect Master." Chu Ran knew the hardships the Sect Master had endured over the years.

The spiritual spring had a miraculous effect on Li Xi's body, and with the support of Elder Sun's internal energy, her body recovered rapidly.

The wound on her back healed at a visible speed, and the pain gradually lessened.

Some faint, flowing golden patterns could be seen behind it, but they were not visible unless there was bright light.

"Li Xi, wake up." Is that person calling her again?

She was lying on a couch under the tree, the crabapple tree bathed in golden sunlight, the wind blowing gently and the leaves rustling.

Sunlight filtered through the sparse leaves, dappling her face. She squinted slightly, looking at the person who had called her with a hint of confusion.

The man stood before her, tall and with a deep-set face. Sunlight cast a golden glow on his cheeks, making his already handsome features even more captivating.

His eyes gleamed with anticipation, as if waiting for her response.

"Li Xi, it's time for you to wake up." He called softly again, his voice full of tenderness.

Li Xi sat up, rubbing her eyes to try and shake off the drowsiness. Then she suddenly realized that she didn't know this man.

"Who are you?" she asked, somewhat surprised. "I'm your friend, Song Yi. Have you forgotten me again?"

The man replied, "You've forgotten how you got back, but I've been waiting for you to wake up."

Li Xi frowned slightly, her mind seemingly experiencing a sense of "forgetting" confusion.

She shook her head, trying to clear her jumbled thoughts. "I...I don't remember anything," she said, somewhat bewildered.

The man smiled gently. "That's alright, I'll help you regain your memories. Come on, stand up, let's leave here."

He reached out his hand, and Li Xi hesitated for a moment before taking it. He pulled her up with a strong pull, and Li Xi stood up.

They walked through the woods and emerged from the sunlit area.

Beyond the woods lay a completely new world. There, as far as the eye could see, were ruins, strangers wandering among them, and an unknown future awaited her.

"What's going on here..." Li Xi was shocked by the scene before her.

"This is Jingyuan ten years from now," Song Yi said calmly.

"How could it have turned out like this?" Li Xi asked, puzzled. As far as she knew, Jingyuan was the most powerful country in the world.

How could things have changed so much in just ten years?

"Although Jingyuan Kingdom presents a powerful image to the world, in reality, this is just an appearance."

Song Yi and Li Xi explained everything.

In the heart of this country, some unknown undercurrents are surging.

The Imperial Palace, located in Kyoto, was the center of power.

In recent years, although the country appears peaceful and stable on the surface, some forces are secretly operating and attempting to subvert the country's stability.

The emperor was also greatly troubled by these forces, and in the end, the entire Jingyuan was engulfed in war and torn apart by various sects, aristocratic families and other countries.

"Huh? How did you know?" Li Xi had no recollection of Song Yi at all.

"Because I come from ten years in the future to give you a heads-up, perhaps you will meet me in the near future." Song Yi said mysteriously.

"How could I possibly encounter something so fantastical?" Li Xi wondered.

"How did you manage to send me a letter after ten years?" She couldn't figure it out.

"Heavenly secrets cannot be revealed. In short, you must wake up quickly and subdue all the sects. This is Jingyuan's biggest hidden danger." Song Yi's time is running out.

The last time he came into her dream, he disappeared before he could say any of this. The second time, it took him most of his energy.

"Remember this..." Before he could finish speaking, Song Yi disappeared again.

"Remember what?" Li Xi called out.

"Miss Li, you're finally awake! That's wonderful!" Chu Ran excitedly ran out to tell the sect leader.

"Xiaoxi, how are you feeling?" Old Sun asked with concern.

Although Li Xi was thin, she was in good spirits while lying in bed.

"Oh dear, you've been lying in bed for a month, we were so worried about you."

"Grandpa Sun, I'm sorry to have worried you." Li Xi felt a pang of sadness when she saw that someone was thinking of her.

It turns out that she was remembered by someone.

"Silly child, you did this to save me, I'm so grateful to you."

"Quick, have some ginseng soup."
